Just a quick reminder: All cookies from the Golden Cheese Kingdom (except for Golden Cheese herself) were casualties of the Dark Flour War. Subsuquently, they were mummified and ‘resurrected’ in the virtual kingdom which is a nod to the Egyptian afterlife. It’s unlikely they can be eaten in universe since they’re now spirits/digital entities (and are currently inactive in Golden Cheese’s absence, awaiting her return). And since Fettuccine is one of these fallen cookies, she’s technically an undead/zombie cookie (thus very likely to be stale)
Nutmeg tiger : Yeah, she probably just nutmeg flavour. Eternal Sugar: Yeah, but shes probably sickeningly sweet. Silent Salt: Depends on how much salt we are talking about Shadow Milk: Yes, Probably just milk. But you will be possessed or something idk. Burning Spice: depends on if he's ACTUALLY burning

Few things I noticed: Cotton Cookie has no mention of ACTUAL cotton in her dough. Stale pasta, while unpleasant, is edible unless mouldy. White Lily's main inspiration is the Madonna Lily, but she has multiple others in her design like the Calla Lily (staff) and Lily of the Vally (braid). She was also mentioned in the story to have a toxic aroma, which is something to keep in mind. Also also she IS technically part of Dark Enchantress (and Enchantress of her), so that could very much influence her edibility.
For most cookies, I just take their name into consideration first, then look deeper into their story. While researching, I did find that you can eat pasta beyond their expiry date. But I’m sure several years is more than enough to say it’s bad. I didn’t know that part about WL with her aroma. That is interesting
@mirratheartist yeah, when you look at Cotton Cookie's description in game it says, quote "the soft and warm cotton fluff in Cotton Cookie's dough granted her a heart so warm not even a raging blizzard could scare her off. ", but I ALSO have personal screenshots of the game itself saying that she had milk instead, so it might have been changed since I took the screenshot. Pasta is surprisingly long lived!! Due to how dry it is, so long as absolutely NO moisture gets into its container, dry pastas can last for years on end before even starting to go stale. I'd assume that being in a literal desert would be dry enough. While White Lily's aroma is one thing, ingredients are another, but you also have to consider PREPARATION. In Australia there is a particular species of tree that has seeds that ARE TECHNICALLY EDIBLE, but are filled with enough poison to KILL people. The only way to eat them is to peel them, cook them in hot embers/coals, then place them in a basket that goes in a running river FOR A WEEK. This leeches the poison out completely, making them safe to grind into edible flour. Obviously most lilies are toxic in some way, but with her multiple inspirations and unknown method of ingredient preparation (if that part even matters with the plant species), I'd be hesitant to place her in either the edible or non-edible category.
@@makeiciam9044 Then again, many materials in Earthbread appear to be made of foods, it’s just that they’re inedible to the cookies themselves but likely edible to humans. Such as: Roll cake logs, soda saltwater, sugar cube minerals, frosting snow, cotton candy wool and so on. So Cotton Cookie could be either made of the actual cotton plant or the Earthbread equivalent made out of a food (marshmallow, cream, white cotton candy). Likewise, the coral/gemstone cookies might be a rock candy of sorts.
Okay, I came to discuss the topic of pinecone cookie. As a person who lives in a place where there are a lot of pine trees (Russia), we eat pinecone seeds. But eating the husk itself is strictly prohibited. And the tail of this cookie is 100% edible, because it is based on a traditional French New Year's pastry called "bûche de Noël".
Same. Except maybe Witchberry Cookie because her dough contains a strand of cat fur. Onyx Cream Cookie doesn’t contain any actual onyx (which I believe aren’t digestible), but rather dark cocoa powder. It’s unclear whether Snow Crystal Cookie is edible or not. She’s made of snow and ice, both of which are merely frozen water. Her Korean name, Snow Flower Cookie, is based on the flower-like appearance of snow on certain surfaces, but it can possibly imply that she might be partially based on a flower associated with snow. EDIT: Congratulations - we *finally* have a fully inedible cookie exclusive to Witches’ Castle! Her name is Poinsettia Cookie (she’s the Christmas cookie of Witches’ Castle) and guess what?? Poinsettia flowers aren’t recommended for consumption. They taste bad and they may cause nausea, a mouth rash, diarrhea, and vomiting if they are ingested, especially if children or pets incidentally took a bite out of it. Additionally, touching the plant or its sap can cause the person who touched it to develop a rash. While there was an old myth that a poinsettia supposedly killed a child, it was later confirmed that the poinsettia plant is *not* deadly and wouldn’t outright kill you should you eat it by accident. In conclusion, while poinsettias aren’t toxic, they aren’t edible or safe for consumption either. Speaking of Christmas Cookies: Sugar Globe Cookie, the Holidays/Xmas-inspired cookie exclusive to Tower of Adventures, is based on a snow globe, which are usually made of glass or plastic, both of which are inedible. However, it’s more likely that she primarily contains sugar, which *is* edible, so this one, like Snow Crystal, is an unknown.
