    Hello friends 🌞
I work in Paris and live in the south of France, and I vlog about my expat life in France. But it's been forever since I posted cos I got literally every valuable stolen in Paris including my computer and hard drive and lost all my content. Several months later I'm finally getting back to it ! 💪🏻
In this video I talk about how I got my backpack stolen in Paris, what it's like doing an internship while studying in France, and share a glimpse of my life in Toulouse.
    Hope you enjoy 😊

I hate to hear about the backpack robbery but I'm so glad you're back making videos bc I'm lowkey obsessed with your adventurous lifestyle! Sounds like a good deal you have with alternance program... I wish US college was 300 euros haha. The walk through the rain with all the detours had me cracking up!!!

Apparently tuition is free and the 300 something is just the administrative fees 😅crazy!! Thanks for being a fan Russell ☺️

Ah my dutch friend got her phone stolen on the metro station years ago :/. When i went with my family to Paris in 2015, i realize now how funny it is we did not get robbed, BUT a taxi driver ALMOST ran over my foot and i was absolutely angry that had i not taken one step back i could have had that happen to me at 17 years of age. On another random note when i use to live in korea, my friend had her passport, wallet, and phone stolen at a nightclub. We were all surprised because Seoul and Korea generally is pretty safe, but honestly you can never be too careful anywhere it seems. I’m glad though you are safe !!

Oh wow if you went with your whole family and no one got anything stolen then yea you’re very lucky !! 😵 For me it’s honestly to the point where I DON’T want my family to come to Paris cos it stresses me out the idea of having to protect them from all the scams and thefts and harassments on the street. It’s enough that I experience them🙃

6 years in France and I can tell you that this is the country with the most rampant thievery, fraud and dishonesty I’ve ever encountered. I’ve lived and traveled all over. The French are actually quite poor despite what is said à propos to GDP, etc.

Arrête d'abuser, ça dépend dans quel quartier tu vas, je vis depuis 20 ans en France et je me suis jamais rien fait voler. Après j'admets que certains ont la facheuse tendances à voler les touristes mais ce ne sont pas des français qui font ça...

I did première in Bretagne and I can say that 80% of the people I knew would steal things from stores; clothes, food, alcohol. And OFTEN. No one ever stole something from me, but I remember being constantly bewildered and angry at the fact the people would just steal things like that when they were actually middle-class and the things they stole were not at all essentials, or they were in high need to feed a family.

I got robbed in Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. It was my flight back to Spain. My backpack got stolen and everything was inside that backpack, my passport, IDs, bank cards, cash, house keys, samsung galaxy buds, watch, phone charger, etc. Luckily, I had my phone on my hand and it didn't get stolen. I missed my flight cause I had to report it to the police there in the airport. It was so stressful cause I was alone. They let me go back to Spain the next day without my passport. I just had to show them the police report.

I have enjoyed your videos for the past couple of hours and have some questions about toulouse. What is the best neighborhoods and the ddiffrent types? what is the pros and cons of living in Toulouse? I have started to learn French beacuse I want to work in the tourism industry in France. Toulouse seems like a good option to live according to me :) You deserve more subscribers.

love your videos and thank you. I'm a Senior in HS...been to France 3 times and would love to go to undergrad there but might be too hard as I'm a US student. AND, as a girl, I would be there all by myself like you!! Scary...I've taken French for many years so I have a basic foundation. 3.7 GPA with average ACT scores. Any links or ideas or even schools for me to check out? Thinking of University of Strasbourg. Also, I like business...thank you and glad to see you're making your own way and creating a beautiful life for yourself...

That sucks that you got robbed. I was in Paris in August and my cellphone got pickpocketed. I was in NYC over the weekend I didn't get pick pocketed. I left my backpack the chair outside at restaurant in Central Park, realized I forgot it when I went back the backpack was still there. I'm from Chicago I've never been pickpocketed.

Sorry to hear about your Paris robbery. After graduation, are you considering moving to Paris?
Your French has improved. How have you been practicing? Is it because of work or just being immersed in the language.
Toulouse in the winter looked beautiful.

Thank you!! but my french was actually about the same when I arrived 😅 if anything probably just hearing it a lot helps a bit, at work I pretty much only use English. I'm not sure yet where I want to live! Maybe I'll know by the end of the year :)

How many days per week you have to go to school to take classes? And can you do part time job while studying masters in Toulouse?

    • @IdentitySelection
      @IdentitySelection  2 года назад +1

For my program, it’s different every month! Some months it’s like 2 weeks of classes then 2 weeks of work, other months, the week is split like 2 days of classes then 3 days of work. Yes you can do part time jobs up to 964 hours per year.
