The amount of times as a kids I was pulled out of bed at 5.30am to help my dad start his diesel transit in the winter with easy start. This clip brought back so many memories.

Transits with the bullnose front were originally for the Ford 'York' diesel engine which was pretty ghastly by many accounts. The bullnose was then used by convertors to fit V6s/Pintos/Perkins etc.

Perkins 108 everyone would complain about them not being a good starter in the winter good proper manifold glow plug that worked same as the old York engine. Mine always started I use to have transits with Perkins 4.108 and the York 4 and a a series with a York 6 proper good engines in the day I even fitted a Perkins 4.108 in to a mk2 Ford granada. Top speed 65 mph and took miles to get to 60 but was not bad on diesel and car was smooth lol how times change 😂
