Dear Elsa, I feel you. Those are hard years for artist & parents… I was there, and if for some reason art helps a lot, from the other side of the medal there are stressful days to manage all the things, especially if there isn’t a “supportive community” around you. It’s hard to resist. So for me that’s meant to gave up on my creative career 12 years ago, and pursue a “regular job” (that’s a stupid thing to say, since we know that making illustration is a job, but the market is a battle camp, and you’ve to be a brave soldier to resist in it…) but at least I’m still trying to navigate in those waters, I gave up then, but I still believe that my dreams will come true before or later and beside my full time job I’m working to pursue this dream. But I wasn’t a pro then, so all my respect for you as an Artist and a Mom, you are BRAVE and you deserve to have the income you want in 2025, I wish this for you! Did you already set a patreon page? What about setting one for another income stream? I know there is some efforts to put into this, but filming one or two tutorials a month as a pro artist to beginners maybe, giving a behind the scenes or get a protected community where you can share authentic you with the side effects of gaining some profit would help. Anyway, I hope this message wouldn’t sound to much as an invaders to you, but take good care of you and your lil child, she is so cute and they need our best self to grow healthy. Much love. ❤️
Thank you for taking the time to write this comment, it truly means a lot! I believe our children learn by example, I'm sure yours knows how brave you had to be to "give up" on your creative career, I know it can not have been easy for you ❤ I have thought of Patreon a few times over the years but I'll be honest: fear has stopped me. Maybe 2025 is the year I become brave :)
