      Absolutely! The usb-c plug labeled “mobile” can do that!

    Hi, when you configure the DSP after powering up and connecting can the device be powered down and run in a pre-set state. Or does it need to have the software connected at every session for the on board DSPs to function. ? Thanks

    Not a fan of the one-knob-does-everything user interface and as a Linux user I suspect the software won't work for me. Other than that, this looks like a killer combination of features. If I was a Windows/Apple user in the market for a streaming-type device this would be at or near the top of the list. I would like to see a limiter (and maybe some effects like reverb and distortion) added to the features but maybe that'll be in a future firmware update.
    BTW you should definitely do a Hindenburg review.

    For a voice over, podcast and other recorded vocals..not live streaming or music stuff .. for max 2 mics input need which is the best interface under 300 ..lewitt 6 or audient id14 or ssl2 or motu M2 ?

    • @User-ys7cb
      @User-ys7cb 5 месяцев назад

      I don't know which interface you went with, but I have the Motu M4 and it is pretty barebones. There is no software apart from the driver with basic settings like buffer size and sample rate. Gain is barely enough for something like an SM7B. The headphone jack is great and it is actually the main reason I bought the Motu a couple of years ago, but I'm using a dedicated headphone amp now anyway. I wanted something better with DSP effects that could be fully controlled via software, so I ordered the Lewitt today.

    Is it possible to switch monitoring between near field monitors plugged in via the LR Line outputs and a small single commercial speaker plugged in via the mini R/L out? I can get audio monitoring in both the near fields and the mini speaker, but it necessitates unplugging the line outs from the back of the unit to get audio to the mini speaker. Is there a switch monitor feature I am missing? Thanks.

    • @AudioHotline
      @AudioHotline  2 года назад

      Sadly, it would be the same situation for you with this interface. You’d need to unplug the LR and plug in the 3.5mm stereo out and vice versa. They are controlled together. I would have absolutely loved if they were separate from each other.

      @@AudioHotline Thanks. Yeah, what a shame. Seems like such a simple thing to incorporate into it, I'm surprised as it seems like it would only make it more attractive. I'm probably going to return mine, as it was a feature I thought it had.

    Any clip guard or something to stop it from clipping?

    • @AudioHotline
      @AudioHotline  5 месяцев назад +1

      Clip guard was introduced with the Lewitt Connect 2. I am not positive if Lewitt will add that functionality through firmware for the Connect 6 or if that is even possible for the 6. As of right now, the Lewitt Connect 6 doesn't have anything like that. However, the processing is way more customizable on the Connect 6. The compressor on the 6 will help even out your levels, but yeah there is no clip guard.

      They initially talked about sending it to me, but I haven't heard anything about it recently. Maybe I'll follow up with them. It isn't currently in the review pile, but I am sure it will be in the near future. In the meantime here is a review from a guy/channel that I trust a lot (in case you don't already watch him).

      @@MyTimeNotFree Yes you can. You need a 3.5mm to lightning converter.
      Plug an aux between the headphone o/p on lewitt and the iphone.

    I also kind of despise the one knob...push to cycle stuff ...it's why I moved away from the elgato interface and the presonus. Kind of a deal breaker for me...not sure why it annoys me so much

    It sounds good but, while it shouldn't matter, it is butt ugly.
    Which is something for a device you have 24/7 in front of your monitor.

      I think the reason I personally like the look of it is just simply due to the fact that there is a uniqueness to this interface. It doesn’t look like the average interface and I find that appealing. Initially I was on the fence though, I was maybe even leaning toward not liking the look. HOWEVER, I do think the design choice was an absolute risk, because I do feel like a lot of people will probably agree with you.
