1:19 COUGH.
8:26 II.
Sorry 1:16
Beautiful melody (yet a little bit strange!) and excellent performance!!! Congrats to both of the musicians!!!!
A fascinating piece. Beautifully played. Bravo!
Love the cough at 1:16
lol, there's another sound that comes and goes - kinda crackle, crackle, like they're changing pages on the piano part that's in a plastic binder or something.
@Lissette Spanner Lissette Spammer and Moises Spamley.
0:05 - I. Lento con rubato
8:26 - II. Presto energico
Beautiful music. Bravo
Bravo très très impressionnant. Grosse technique de la part des 2 musiciens . Juste énorme. A demandé énormément de travail. Morceau de concours
I appreciate lyrical writting even in a modernist approach. Though this is not entirely humable or memorable, it yields a sense of continuity and expressivity worth noting.
It’s just representation of a brilliant and epic piece of music. The dialogue here is as if we were talking about the correct interpretation of “Scripture”. We have here is a flamboyant performance, well executed, well thought out emotionally sensitive
Come on. Is anything a yawner to you?
Love it
2:24 following it is a little bit Prokoviev Romeo and Juliette under the surface
The pianist does the bass notes wrong there LOL bar 1 4th beat Eb instead of E, bar 2 1st beat F instead of D
I like the flute accompaniment
2:17 I have replayed this moment so many times

Those breathes were interesting
I used to have a Lowell Lieberman CD of a piece for choir and orchestra; I felt it was a bit too polyphonically thin and didn't listen to it that much as a result. There are parts of this piece too that are a little minimal, but then other parts in it are very nice. I just feel there's not much interaction between the piano and flute; like they are both saying things in an organized fashion but not talking to each other. Maybe this guy has listened to too much classical minimalism or his teachers were of that school or something?
So underrated
I always thought it was kind of standard rep at this point...
Poor pianist doesn't get credited. This isn't an easy sonata to play!
If you know who the pianist is please let me know and I will update it. The recording didn't include them, to my recollection.
