Very good video. As a bootcamp graduate myself I think a ton of newbies in tech could really benefit from this video. There is a very common unrealistic expectation things will fall into place. Expecially after all the hard work that is getting through the BootCamp itself. The truth the BootCamp is a most often a kick start into a long journey it very seldom is the key that immediately opens the door of opportunity. Thanks for sharing this! Hoping that new SWE all over the world find this video so that they to come into tech with realistic expectations.
BTW this is great advice you're sharing which unfortunately students might sometimes not get a chance to find out till later in their career. If some of us find a mentor what are the potential topics you'd recommend I can ask to get that support please? My priority for example is passing tech interviews
I would first work with them to identify which areas your struggling with most. In my experience it tends to be one the following categories: 1. Data structure and algorithms 2. Building projects repeatably and reliably 3. Soft skills 4. Networking Try and give yourself a scoring out of 5 in each area, and then focus on the areas you're least confident in.
Just discovered you on RUclips. This is top quality content! Thank you for sharing!

Love it, found this helpful. Appreciate your input.
Hi, I'm based in Sheffield UK. Can you please recommend me a decent bootcamp providers? Thanks :)
Hey, I would recommend NorthCoders!
@@Jade-Codes Other than Northcoders Please. I cannot join them again.
@@engineeringmadeasy what was your experience with them? Makers seems pretty good as well.
@@engineeringmadeasy if neither of those are available there is the apprenticeship program through Makers or the School of Code
Coming from LN
Would like to see shorts with tech jokes 😂
