Something I never think of making at home. Yes ma’am! Sausage & peppers on the boardwalk at the Jersey shore are the Best! Spent many weekends enjoying them! Headed to the market! 😃
I have a request. I'm kind of off Tiramisu. My dad loves it, so my mom makes it quite often. There are other Italian cakes. At the local library I found an Italian cookbook and discovered a recipe called Champagne Tuscan Cream Cake. I made it for a friends birthday party. It was wonderful. Everyone loved it. Alas I didn't save the recipe. I've been searching for it everywhere. I've found no trace of it anywhere. It might have been made up. My request is, could you make an Italian cake that's not Tiramisu or a cheese cake, or Penettone? You don't have to search the world for the cake I mentioned, just something different. I was also wondering how to make those little Italian cookies that are round and wrapped in a pretty tissue paper. They are crispy. Usually served at weddings.
Hi Nina! I hope you are well! Great video. Quick question, have you mastered the kind of tomato sauce they always seemed to use on the pizzas in New Jersey? I'm trying to figure it out, it was always slightly sweet, kind of loose and a bit oily. I'm hoping you can help. 😉
Lol, of course. 1 large can of whole San Marzano tomatoes 1 to 2 teaspoons of sugar 1 to 2 garlic cloves 1 1/2 teaspoons oregano Salt to taste Whirl it up in a blender. Spread evenly over your oiled crust. Grate Romano cheese over the pizza. Bake at 450°F for 7 minutes. Remove from the oven drizzle with good quality olive oil and finish with mozzarella cheese. Back into the oven for another 7 to 10 minutes. 😁

@@ninainthekitchen1455 Thanks a million! Never thought of putting oil on the crust. I'll give it a try! 🍕
@@pepperoni3760 oil on the pan, and the dough.
