    Jim I honestly can see the Dodgers sticking with Rojas at SS and paying up for pitching. Can still get an impact bat on the back end.

    White Sox reportedly turned down the Dodgers offer for Crochet. It's possible they asked for Gavin Stone in return, which I'm sure the Dodgers would have turned down. Stone is their most dependable starter at this time.
    I can tell you, as a Philadelphia native, if Robert has a play like he had tonight, where he caught a shallow fly ball but didn't throw to home plate to try to cut off the winning run, he would not last very long in Philly. The Phillies fans would be on his ass forever for that.

    The bottom line is making the playoffs and taking it from there. If the Giants, Mets and DBacks are within a few games of the last playoff spot, they will likely make at least modest acquisitions to improve their weak points. No one who is right there in contention is going to look at their fan base and justify selling it off because they’re not winning the WS. That doesn’t happen.

    I don't think the mets will buy OR sell. I think they will keep pete for the rest of the year and resign him during the off-season. Maybe they trade Severino and McNeil because they have Senga on the way back and Acuna on the way up. But that's it. They'll just keep trying to win with what they have.

    Actually, the Dodgers DO need some pitching, at least a good starter and, preferably, the starter and a bullpen. Other than that, they need an everyday LF....named Randy. I get it may seem they have enough pitching but in reallity it's full of IF's. Edit: if the Dodgers can get Randy and a starter, they don´t need Bo since they can cover the OF bat and reinforce the pitching side, hence they ride with Rojas at SS

    Deadline trades are fun to speculate on: My take with Dodger bias is:
    Crochet- to Orioles, Padres
    T. Scott-Yankees Dodgers
    Arozarena- Dodgers
    Eflin-Dodgers
    Robert-Phillies, Mariners long shot Dodgers
    Flaherty-Dodgers,Padres,Red Sox

    Jim, you always talk about all this amazing young talent that is about to blossom in 2026 for the A’s. Who? Who are these guys? They don’t have a good farm system and the guys they’ve traded for have been ok, or flat out duds. Please name some names and elaborate. I could be wrong, and I’d be happy to be wrong as I like the A’s. But who are these guys that are going to serve as this great young foundation for the A’s in 2026 and beyond…?

    As a Diehard Orioles fan, I don’t want to trade for Crochet at that asking price. I’m worried about the innings limit he could have and I think with adding a starter like Cal Quantrill and a bullpen guy like Tanner Scott/Carlos Estevez drastically improves our World Series chances this year without giving up the prospect capital for a guy who’s been a starter for 3 months. Just my take

    Did you see the absolute garbage article Bleacher Report put out a few days ago? It has Toronto moving Jansen, Bassett, Kiermaier, Kikuchi, Bichette and Vladdy to both the Guardians and Astros for a bunch of prospects and Christian Javier. Call me crazy but I can't see The Jays moving Bo and Vladdy

    • @penguiivr5341
      @penguiivr5341 22 дня назад

      You might be one of the few sane people lmao.
      If the blue jays want to be at all competitive next season they cannot move *both* vladdy and bo. I hope they move neither but if they end up trading one away, I hope we can hold onto vladdy. Even on a down year Bo could easily get good prospects for us, especially when he has another year after this season of control.
      In all reality, neither is getting traded, they bring in ticket sales, jersey sales, etc, and with having just renovated the rogers center there is no chance they toss away those sales.

  • @Ryan-nl5rh
    @Ryan-nl5rh 23 дня назад

    ngl i can see the mets be sellers on their pitchers more than their hitters. Sevy, Manea, Quintana (if they can get anything for him) and other impending FA pitchers will be moved. From what I have seen, they want to try and retain pete/jd and other hitters and just call up younger pitchers. I think its right to keep pete (and try to extend him after the season) and JD just to try and push bc of the position we are in (the wildcard picture). But i do think bader and other weaker hitters should be moved for younger options. But like thats just me tho and ur entitled to your opinion they should sell. Just to add, if they get offered the moon for Pete (Mariners or Astros give a top 100 guy or an insane package) you DO that deal but that prob wont happen

Mets shouldn’t waste prospects and buy & Jays won’t blow it up. I’m curious what you agree with him on and disagree with me on.
