If the Giants, Mets and DBacks are within a few games of the last playoff spot, they will likely make at least modest acquisitions to improve their weak points. I don't think the mets will buy OR sell. I think they will keep pete for the rest of the year and resign him during the off-season. Maybe they trade Severino and McNeil because they have Senga on the way back and Acuna on the way up. But that's it. They'll just keep trying to win with what they have.

I’m worried about the innings limit he could have and I think with adding a starter like Cal Quantrill and a bullpen guy like Tanner Scott/Carlos Estevez drastically improves our World Series chances this year without giving up the prospect capital for a guy who’s been a starter for 3 months. I hope they move neither but if they end up trading one away, I hope we can hold onto vladdy. Even on a down year Bo could easily get good prospects for us, especially when he has another year after this season of control.
