You did a great job on the turtle! I did a sea turtle last year and it reminds me of the time I spent on those many wrinkles around its shell and neck..I wont forget it! ut it was very fun to challenge myself too! Glad that you tackled it in colour pencil because mine is in the same medium and lots of the same colours too! Love your videos ...thanks for sharing it! 💕🙏
I love this drawing! You did an amazing job. 😄 I hope you draw more marine life in the future. I found one of the biggest challenge is not finding a single copyright free photo when it comes to drawing marine animals. Most of the time you have to take multiple pictures and adjust the lighting and colors to make it look like it’s part of the same scene.
I didn’t fix the edges at all. I have been experimented with leaving a good border around the edges to make potential framing a bit easier, but I don’t bother fixing the edges down as I work. I always pick up my piece and move it off the desk when I’m not working on it, just In case of spills or kitty footprints, so the only fixing I might do is to tape it up on my studio wall behind me between sessions to keep it safe :)
The light rays where done with a few brushes over the top with a white waxy pencil.. it would have been my luminance white or my prismacolor white, but I can’t actually remember which one I chose :)

How did you fix the edges? Because, as I could see, you didn't use tape to secure the paper.
