Carrie was thinking of the island of Santorini (white buildings, blue shutters), she located it correctly in the Mediterranean sea. Considering there where also vineyards, it really seems to be in the Mediterranean area
I will never get tired of Dan and Carrie's dynamic. They have such a wonderful relationship and they play so well off one another. And the fact that their love is still so enthusiastic and wholesome; it puts a smile on my face :D
That is probably the most elegant co op split screen solution I've ever seen. If you're focused on your character you might not even notice it happening. Nifty.
Only criticism I have of it is how the camera lags behind the character so much. Looks smooth, but also means running into things/dogs a lot. I guess this isn't an issue singleplayer though.
Carrie is absolutely amazing at this game! The dodges at around 10 minutes in and all the saves! Chaotic heroine Carrie to the rescue! Raccoon save points - Raccoon Resorts? Raccoon Reststops? Raccoon Recon Rooms? 😂😅
This game is just a personification of that meme with the possum sitting at the bottom of an empty box of donuts, saying “do what you will, I’ve already won! “
I have a feeling that, as a solo experience, this game has a lot more Untitled Goose Game energy. But this chaos is so much fun! Also, I can't believe Carrie let "raccoonaissance" slip past her pun gaze.
The way this game handles dynamically splitting the screen if you get too far away is really neat and well done, I don't think I've seen it done quite like that before.
I think I've seen it before... was it in a beat-em-up, DMC-sort of thing? a lego game? an avengers game? given conflicting memories, probably I've seen it more than once.
@@qwertystop I'm remembering a game with it too, but I also can't remember what it was for the life of me. The split-screen clearly left a greater impression than the game... (not to imply it was bad)
Fact that is possibly only funny to me: In Danish old-fashioned slang, the police vans are known as 'salad bowls' (salatfade), so...yes, salad jail. Very much salad jail.
I believe the first appearance of dynamic splitscreen in LEGO games was Indiana Jones 2. They kept it in most entries moving forward for areas with a fixed camera angle, but switched to static splitscreen for areas with rotational camera controls; primarily the overworld maps. However, I believe it has been fully phased out in more recent entries, featuring static splitscreen only.
Oh! So this is actually almost exactly the setup of the Animal Crossing minigame in Nintendo Land for Wii U. You had two sides, one player simultaneously trying to catch everyone, the others trying to eat fruit, getting slower by each piece they picked up. I love this!
6:19 Not, y'know, that you're literally stealing food right in front of them? 8:08 Not for me. I can drink an espresso and immediately go to bed. 28:47 No, left, not right. 33:37 Correct, you have all the seconds.
I didn't expect a coop episode on a wednesday! Wasn't this week-end exclusive stuff? Also, that game is adorable. They've opted for a adaptive/voronoi splitcreen when the two players get too far away from each other (I know this existed, but haven't played games where this has been implemented). It's neat, interesting and works well when the screen is divided vertically but also a bit jarring when you're right at the limit or when the splitting axis moves around a lot, I'm not sure whether I like it or not compared to a more "static solution". It's also a bit hard to gauge the distance between the two characters when the screen is split. Perhaps if it started zooming out a bit before splitting the screens?
Earlier game I know, and pretty much the only one, that uses this type of split screen was Toejam and Earl for the SEGA Genesis. It wasn't as seamless but worked well. Also, Toejam and Earl Back in the Groove has co-op and exists for PC and probably some other modern consoles... Just saying.
I think the one your thinking of (Lego game) that had split screen is Lego Marvel Superheroes that’s the only one I can recall at the time but have a nice day everyone:D
The Lego Harry Potter games had a similar dynamic split screen to this game. Unfortunately, it's the main feature that the person I played alongside and I didn't like from those two games because it bothered our eyes. We ended up trying to stick close together to avoid it as much as possible back then. Now, I've noticed it messing with my eyes while trying to watch this video too, so sadly I don't know if I can finish watching this one this time. I tried focusing on a single character too, but to no avail. The game looks quite fun too, so it's quite a shame. =/ Hopefully it was a good time throughout the rest of the experience for you two though. ^^
Honestly? Their little screams when caught or being chased are the best choice. They get me every time
It's Dan shouting "paw patrol" while being nabbed by the dog police for me.

Relationship goals 😭
Yes yes. This channel is one of the tools I'm using to get myself excited about dating again post-divorce.

Finally, a game where the Paw Patrol are the bad guys
I like the split screen tech here. The desire to see that in a new adaptation of, say, Gauntlet is overwhelming.
It's nice, but the wobbling it does trying to force camera alignment does make me a bit motion sick, even just watching.
Ladies, gentlemen and none of the above, I present: "I REGRET NOTHING!" The game.
9:02 "If you're gonna go to jail, it should be for gelato."
You mean _Goal_-ato?
9:18 Ah there you go, I knew you had the puns in you!
You mean gaol? I think autocorrect got you 😄
That. Ending. Was. Adorable!
I really appreciate the "jail-ato" pun added in there, Carrie!
I love how they handle the coop camera split

Raccoon city is surprisingly wholesome during the day, who knew.
Prior to the virus outbreak, food theft was apparently spiking.
Carrie and Dan going full gremlin mode as trash bandits is something I didn't know I needed more of until today. 😂
From the moment I saw a trailer for this game, I knew there would be some Carrie/Dan co-op shenanigans at some point. I was not disappointed
Utterly adorable! I may have to pick this up for my husband and I to play.
We're all thinking it. The possum in australia that broke into a bakery. "do what you want, I have already won"

This game's setting reminds me a lot of this painting by Aleksandra Ekster called Italian Town by the Sea, crazy viewpoint angle and all.
“To the left!”
“Oh, right there!”
This is peak co-op energy
"You are free, and I am eating pizza. Smoke bomb." Sums up the entire game.
Pizza? Alliteration? Crimes?
I'm in.

Meant to say one player controlling two characters simultaneously to catch others, it was using the two sticks on the gamepad.
This was so cute and I loved seeing you guys have so much fun with it!!
The tone of the music reminds me of the theme song of the Jeeves and Wooster tv series
The smoke bomb is like a Naruto jutsu. Its name must be spoken whenever it is used.
6:19 Not, y'know, that you're literally stealing food right in front of them?

The point gain SFX in this game is really pleasant.
I was all "hey is this overcooked"? It took me a while to realize it isn't.

You guys probably heard of it already, but super crazy rhytm castle feels like exactly your style.
I love the way this game handles split screen!
The split screen technology here is interesting and new (at least for me)
This was so freaking adorable and fun to watch!
Salad? Quick, caes-er salad! *ba dum tish*
love the unfiltered chaos that is this game
This may have already been said, but "this is a strobbery!"
Smoke bombs?
I mean smoking anything is not good for your health, but to choose bombs seems unnecessarily wreckless

Be hungry, do crimes!
Extra Dan & Carrie co-op, yay 😁!
One-off Wednesday and Carrie too?!? Awesome!
Bella Chonki is the BEST name ever.
_TECHNICALLY_ this is still Pizza Game! 😃
Reconnaisance? more like Racoon-aisance
I see that the camera is Carrie resistent.
How about Possum Point and Raccoon Rendezvous?
Pizza Possum and Ravioli Raccoon
This was adoraaaaablee great start to my wednesday
Im sure you have already heard of it and may already have a video recorded but I hope you play "Chants of Sanaar" together.
I think Carrie means jail-latto
I think the one your thinking of (Lego game) that had split screen is Lego Marvel Superheroes that’s the only one I can recall at the time but have a nice day everyone:D
Illegal levels of adorable. Also the game.
A Raccoon Respawn?
I love food crimes

This is so thinking cute! I love it!
the doors with the little white rectangles over them look so... inviting :/
Grape escape.
Pizza Game?
Wait, Possom.
Cool!
Adorable
Super cute.
💙
oh shit three views one minute ago? I think this is the fastest I've ever gotten to one of your vids!
First first comment ever. Always love a Dan and Carrie play.
