Spec’ing into AA is totally worth it on these ships since AA expert lowers your consumable cooldown when your AA is firing. It sounds too situational but you’d be surprised how often your AA is active. It also works well since if you’re using it to camp islands you can stay dark fairly easily since you can consistently stop first strikes if you’re actively paying attention. In Randoms, you can even drop the self-defense hydro and take Def-AA
We should have more tanky ships without crazy dmg so that we can survive all the HE spam and CVs
We can petition WG to do that with the planned Spanish CAs.
My first time I ran into the T9, was "How did that radar come back so fast!!" haha..lesson learned.
I have unlock it and I have 75% wr on Santander , that one , heal & special consmable made a difference in that class , and today I have played few battles on Musashi to farm cretits and DAMN those crusers are hard to pen , I get over pen all the time on those !
The survivability is the most surprising trait of this line.

I honestly really enjoy the pan american cruisers. They feel refreshing to play and lead to fun game all without feeling overpowered.

Moskva and Stalingrad can be easily penned by light cruisers. Aldo a lot of players don't expect it. an Wooster can 2 salvo an Stalingrad if it gets close (I like 5km close) and to it's sides
155mm and 180mm citadel side armor respectively. Honestly very thin, not much more than DM and the citadels are very raised.
people only hate those ships because all they do is sit bow in (where they actually have decent armor) but once you get anywhere near broadside it's a super easy delete

The San Martin is a great addiction, it rewards tactical aggression, you can risk it for a biscuit. With everyone playing defensive of late, this addition is a welcome change.
i like to call the San Martin a Cockroach. if you don't immediately kill it, it'll just keep coming back again and again.
You got to be able to consistently hit your target, miss two shots in a row, or stop shooting a few seconds and then miss one shot, and it resets.
Pronuntiation is quite good... San Martín La-la, la-la la-la-la-la-la, la-la (Sorry I had to xD)

That was me in the Frederick the Great you killed after the Puerto Rico. I watched the whole match and was wondering why they couldn't kill you. Luckily they barely outlasted you .. good player in a good ship made it really tough! GG!
the best Pronuntiation should be San Marteen, but yours is pretty good

Glad you can make it work PQ. I’m hating the t8 and t9. It goes without saying you’re a much better player than I. A clan mate and I ran into a San Martin last last night ran by a Unicom player and he beat us up

WELP salem just got power crept HARD
Today, I slava-ed a SM and chunked him to like 1500 hp. He didn't die yet run away, not so long, he back to the fight with half hp, got shot, run away, back again, really annoying.
That heal post-cit will be fixed, tryst WG.
I'm only into Santa, but I have no middle ground with these - Bad games or Good games, nothing in between. It's seems to take pen damage from ALL other ships, so I don't really enjoy it very much. Having said that, 4th game in it was Kraken and Confederate. Maybe I just haven't developed a relationships with it yet.
The t6 is a lot of fun but the t8 just gets obliterated
Any tips for playing the T6? Half the games I just explode after 3 minutes while at full HP.

I hate this line, the ap does not work when ships are nose in, are you sure you say they have improved pen angles I was told they dont like the mino line.

how is it fair, to give some Tier 10 ships combat instructions and all of the ones before not? Like do they just get power crept like hell with every new ship having combat instructions?
I really hate what WG does to the game but in this case default cooldowns are much worse the usual so I wouldn't call it power creep. There are situations where this is not an advantage (if you cannot shoot at anything etc.).
Something tells me Dreadnought achievements are gunna be a bit more common

10:22 Malta cannot citadel you with AP bombs since your citadel deck armor is too thick. There's no way he gets even close to dev striking you. In fact with your size, agility and lack of pen to citadel you, AP bombs really aren't that much of a threat.
Don’t nerf it, just give other older ships new shit too.

I like it. I’m usually not into cruisers. I’m into Battleships and Subs. I will try this line of cruisers.
And then you get hit by 18" shells from across the map...
Looks like that super-heal needs to be balanced. the ship took nearly three times as much damage as its base HP>

Normal BB, they are not irrelevant. They are cattle for the gimmick farmers.

@@missk1697 Well theres gimmicks of course, in this instance Super Heal and fire chance, but fire in general is just broken. i meant more like Colorado, Nagato and the like, even Montana and Yamato struggle.

They're going to nerf it. Probably by increasing the conceal range to ~9.8 or something like that, if i had to guess.
I played a half dozen games in it yesterday and it's very, very strong in current state, especially if you're used to playing something like a radar mino.
Stealth radar is the broken skill, though...
Imagine you are DD and must facing 2 radar in a row.
At least with 1 radar, you can bait enemy radar then pray for next 30s.
Against San Martin, you must pray really hard for next 60s
Did wargaming just give up on balancing the game, and just create a whole new scale to measure it?

Really, I don't know if could like this "CL" ... Great performance though, but coming from Mars. Much too powerful due to gimmicks IMHO.
Classic CV moment. I used to like CVs back in RTS but man do they just ruin games now.
Can't say I like this voodoo zombie ship in the game. Seems every pretense of being skill and realism based have gone out of the window. A light cruiser that can even heal its citadels in seconds? Come on! What's next, World of Warcraft gimmicks with magical spells, potions, mind control and foresight?
Yes, the super-heal option is now being spread to other ships, not mentioning the 'funny button' that was once only supposed to be on Superships. WG is running this game down.
They are currently also doing the Warhammer collaboration so your not far off
Don't worry, they'll nerf it to "meh" after most people have wasted their time and resources on the T10 ship. Meanwhile they'll introduce the next shiny thing.

Yeah you are having fun and it's your favorite, but the reality is not everyone will have these super op ships. So think and speak for the community not just for yourself
