Have you had any discussions with the hon' minister and / or the ministry on the plans to increase the average speeds of passenger trains? If avg. speeds of all trains is increased by just 10 kmph, the track capacity would increase by almost 20%, reducing the congestion on the network and if we could achieve an increase of 20kmph to 70-75 kmph, the capacity would increase by 35%, eliminating the congestion. And a lot of road traffic could as well potentially shift to trains.
Other than Vande Bharat trains, all the old train sets should be scrapped and needs to be replaced by Amrit Bharat train sets throughout India. I know, it will be a big budget item, but needed to give passengers better travel experience even for aam aadmi. Ideally, all trains should be air-conditioned with solar panels on top of train cars. There is also need to have a dedicated department to maintain cleanliness on all the trains throughout India. I would suggest, every 8-10 hour travel, there should be cleaning of toilets and vacuuming inside the train sets at any station, and full train cleaning once in 24 hours or completion of full length journey. With CCTV cameras installed, any traveler doing any damage to the train, should be arrested and fined by the RPF. Dhanyavad🙏
meanwhile what do you urge people in terms of maintaining cleanliness from their side???they throw unwanted stuffs into commode and clog it..some people dont even flush after using toilets...cleanliness goes both ways...
