Thank you for providing insight into your process. A tip here and there is very helpful for us trying to figure it out. Keep up the great work! Much appreciated!

I absolutely love your videos :) I've definitely not placed enough value into the weight loss % and this video was a big wake up call to start taking better notes again. Question - what's the smallest sample size you feel comfortable roasting on the 1KG MCR? I'm on the same machine (only since September - Behmor before that) and I want to be conservative like you mentioned with my samples, but I'd like to eventually not be relying on the Behmor at all. Thanks - looking forward to the next video!

Not sure about the mill city, but I have a different brand 1kg and I have tried to do as low as 250g samples and it didn’t go to well. I feel like the lowest amount I can use to get decent results was around 400g. Roasting software is unreliable at such small charge weights as well

I really try not to roast less than 1kg. I doubt the sensors to reading accurately if I run a smaller batch. It’s possible, tho! Take notes and run experiments to find your groove.

What's the major difference between the home series and the PRO series?
I want to buy a roaster for sample roasting and everyone I know is recommending the PRO series, but that's almost 4,5k. The home series seems more affordable.

Hey, with the home roaster she is using, you only have two settings to play with for sample roasting: 1) light, medium or dark roast then the levels within those 2) low, medium, high. So she's saying she tests most of her samples as the lowest you can go ie light low roast, then she will do others after that. With the pro version, you can completely control the roast from charge temp to finish temp and everything between with repeatability. You can control total roast time, times that you reach certain temperature points and how quickly or slowly, etc. Check out this video to see a better explanation of the pro version: ruclips.net/video/puAdHc2MpXo/видео.html

hmm tough question... If I'm trying to be efficient with my time. Ikawa. If Im trying to experiment and have bigger batches to play with. Bullet.

Sounded like it's the newer 100g version, but they are running it with 50g.
