How can you custom select which image you want in instagram?

we follow your procedure and it does not work? is this tutorial still relevant? I have the following error message: "Instagram reports: Please check the settings"

Sorry, I haven't tried in a while so I'm not sure. I know Instagram changed a lot of things at one point. You might be better looking for an Instagram specific plugin, rather than using EG for this purpose.

thanks for the tutorial :) any chance you can show how we can integrate that into cornerstone?

Sorry, I'm not sure about that. If its a theme that allows shortcodes, then it should be fine though.

Can you kinda sort for most liked images first etc?

Thank you for your useful video.
The one thing that I can figure out how to do is to get it to go past 12 images. This the point that Instagram has a load more button and it looks like EG cant go past this point.
Do you have any suggestions on this?

Oh I hadn't noticed that. I've just gone and checked and you're right. Mine is only loading 12 too. I guess as a size fix you could put a button under to sent them over to your instagram page itself once they get that far? But otherwise I'd contact support and ask if they plan to add the ability to show more than 12. I can't see any settings in the backend to allow it at the moment.

Endure Web Studios exactly! That's the solution that we decided to implement too, adding a button on the bottom.
Hopefully they will roll something out to fix this.

yeah I agree. I wonder if it's a limitation from instagram's end? I haven't tested other plugins to know.

It definitely looks like it is. The Web version of instagram only shows 12 images, after that you need to click load more. EG has to find a way to load more than the initial provision.

Does the feed cache on your own website or does it fetch for new images everytime you refresh the page?

Thanks for this video. How can I have the image pop out when you click on them to see them in full size?

    • @sarahoates9961

Sorry for the slow reply. You would pick a skin that is built that way, and then make sure lightbox is enabled. The simplest way is to download a template that already has this built in, then you can copy any of the settings they have set up.

I am having an issue with this. The feed is not pulling the correct order of images. The most recent instagram photo should be showing first in my feed but its coming up last. How can I fix? thanks!

I'm experiencing a similar issue. Some parts of the feed seem to bee pulled in the correct order, but other parts don't. This is pretty annoying when you're feed exsits of several images that are part of a larger grid image

If I want to link to instagram itself, how do I do that?

  • @GeraldineConventoDigital
    @GeraldineConventoDigital 6 лет назад +1

My feed stopped working. I noticed that you need to add an access token now. Did you do that? I tried and I wasn't successful at it.

Same here. Did you ever get it figured out? :(

    • @GeraldineConventoDigital

I gave up on the access token and oddly it worked. I just went to source, selected stream, selected instagram, and made sure my instagram username was in there and it started working again.

When you post a pic on Instagram, will it automatically add it to your website?

Not tried yet but looks like you need an API handshake to get more than 12 posts coming through. See www.themepunch.com/essgrid-doc/special-content-streams/#instagram
