Interesting towing device, I hate being towed with a rope, that's SO MUCH better. Your baby is looking B E A utiful love that colour. Too late for you now IF I am not gluing the seal as you are not I use copious amounts of WD40, some people use washing up liquid but as that contains salt, not a good idea.
@@Jamiexjs83 if you do I would definitely recommend buying a donor car. It’s great having lots of spares and by selling off parts you can cover the costs of the conversion…I did 🙂
Nice job on the door seal, the door should close under its own weight on level ground, no need to slam anything on an xjs. The rear reverse light lenses - take them off and polish them with autosol metal polish and it will remove the yellow oxidation and make them clear again. I also put white led bulbs in them.
It would be a thrill for me just to start up your Jag is move it around your garden...with that lovely manual transmission. Great to see it all in action. Had no idea that mohair was used on those top areas. I loved the smell of old mohair in 1930-1940s vintage American cars. Left to own my druthers, I strip out leather in some old banger and replace it with mohair just to get that old (and possibly mouldy...lol!) smell. That sure was a lovely Jaguar meetup you went to! I only thing I didn't see in your video was one of those wild Lynx Eventer shooting brakes one hears about. I also liked seeing those coupés with the squared off metal roof variants which are lacking the flying buttresses; the name for those and who made them escapes me. Mahalo for the video!
Lovely paintwork, and that colour suits the XJS perfectly. She’s gonna be an absolute stunner!

Great quality production. The car will be fantastic once finished and the colour is one of the nicest in the XJS colour range.
Thank you 🙂
Looks lovely this makes me want to do a manual conversion on mine.
