Nice car but it really was due for a stripdown and refresh… plus of course some Kent alloys and ideally a black leather interior.

Smart collection of cars there. Does a V12 XJS Pre He = flat cylinder head?

Iam no expert, but for £4700🇬🇧
For a decent driving, shabby chic early xjs, it was a very fair price.
As you say, find were the waters getting in, engine tune and enjoy

Probably get one cheaper over your way but yes! Water was coming from windscreen so it needed a new rubber seal

Sadly soon all gas cars will be banned from most public streets in EU, USA and CANADA!

No. In UK from 2030 only NEW petrol and diesel cars will be banned (and there's still a possibility they won't be). Anything pre-2030 is fine. Classic cars will always be okay.

@@tjmthejagmandownunder its the "investnent" money from non jag people that's pushing prices up. They are weak hands and will liquidate once they notice interest rates are up. Reminds me much of the Mk2 price surge just before the global financial crisis , mk2 prices halved after

correct. I have just purchased a 1987 5.3 V12 2 owner Aus delivered 140km car with full service history for $15,000 June 2023. Neat duco to be polished, nil rust superb leather, carpet and wood.

@@coupster5464 At some point these cheap, rust free old Jags from Australia will making there way back to the UK. The bulk of restoration costs is the body work so restoring a car like this rather than a rotten UK car is a winner.
