1975 xj6 looks great. Reminds me of the first xjs I saw at Donato and Sons Motors in Logansport, Indiana circa 1975.

I've been looking forward to this on your channel from its inception. I can't help but I'm a total sucker for the pre-HE XJS. The only car I've ever kept and still have is a 1979 XJS. It's red with the biscuit coloured interior leather as well. So looking forward to every video you do on this car. Love it! Keep up the great work.

Hi Adam . Phew ! Looking at the dashboard area , there's lots to do ! As always , you never have a problem , always a solution ! I had a '76 in the early '90's , cheap as chips ! And l worked at a Jaguar dealership and well remember our first demonstrator . It was pretty controversial !!! Thanks Adam

    Hi Adam,
I’ve just found your channel.. it’s great..! 👍 I’m following your xjS project from Australia as I also have an early 1977 model xjS that has sat in a sheep shed over here for 20 years.. incredible what happens to these cars..!!
It does run now, but quite badly so it needs everything gone over.. and put right..! I’m looking forward very much to watching you put your car back together! Good luck from OZ

Best color! My 1989 XJ-S was red/biscuit (beige) with Daron 72 spoke wire wheels. Great car! Tubes in the wire wheels were problematic…

Great to see it back. I've been looking forward to this project. This is going to be a fabuloous car. How about calling it Sir John? This is after Sir John Coventry who inspired the Coventry act instigated by Charles II which dictated death for anyone who attacked or injured any of his subjects. Sir John was one of those injured. I won't give you the details of his injury suffice it to say it wasn't very nice. The car was a little injured and you are putting it back together and then going to Coventry, seems appropriate.

Really excited for this project Adam! Will you also be doing a manual conversion? Also how about XJS project 50 taking for jags book with the project 7. Lastly if you do drive over here to the UK I'm sure lots of Jag enthusiasts will be more than happy to help in any capacity we can!

Nice to see it back with you Adam, and look forward to you sharing the refurbishment with us. So, if your aim in 2025 is to come over here to the U.K. and go to Coventry, maybe a good project name would be “Project Godiva” ? 🤔👍🙂

I had a 1985 V12 XJS in silver with a red leather interior and factory spoiler as a medical student in the early 00s. Loved that car, unfortunately I think it was sold for £300 after failing its MOT on corrosion. Certainly would have been saved these days!

XJS mk 1 the best colour was red ..I saw them from launch and we had a dealer in Corbridge and Newcastle Leyland used to just put out a few basic colours and special order cars took many months to arrive. I also mostly mustard yellow and some white and dark blue. But red was the best.
