"haters are goin to hate" is what we have been tossing around since I feel the early 2000s but I can totally understand how it can weigh on you. The fact is, you know what you want for yourself. Additionally, you have not only long term goals and short term goals too. I fully believe in your talent and dedication. You got this hun!
Sorry people are making you second-guess yourself. But I just thought I'd comment and say that I too have a big project that I eventually want to show the world, and seeing you making the steps to pursue your music goals gives me inspiration to pursue mine. Thank you! :D
No matter what content you make. There will always be somebody that's not happy with it. Normally that's a minority. Most of all, people who watch your RUclips shouldn't expect your TikTok style content anyway. That's what RUclips is for.
Ofc you can do vlogs, ignore those who try to say what you can and cannot do with your content - it kills creativity. I like these vlogs where we get to see more of the chick behind the music.
The transparency that you give off is addicting. You’re a remarkable soul.
I think these vlogs actually present the opportunity for authenticity and vulnerability which is rare these days

But at the end of the day you don't really owe any of your subscribers a damn thing

If the vlogs help keep you focused and motivated, keep doing them! Love your creative, whimsical TikToks, and have bought "Never Stop" and "Pedestal." Love your sound and lyrics, and am eager to see you give voice to the album you want to create this year!
Videos that humanize creators, elicit empathy, and expose our struggles through this shared human experience require the audience to engage at a much deeper level than "pretty girl makes funny songs". Some people have the emotional intelligence of a doorstop and are made uncomfortable when confronted with these realities. Their response will be 'fight or flight'. Others will experience part of the journey with you and have a greater appreciation for the art and artist because of it.
I personally love these vlogs. Don't let anybody online tell you what is and isn't you. It's still your channel, and you decide what's on it ❤️
i dunno man this makes me like you even more as an artist. some background/history always makes me appreciate stuff even more. your music has helped me get through some serious shit. keep it up please fuck anyone that says different. it doesn't matter what you do, there will always be assholes. dying breath with you and lukhash has been one of the songs that kept me from suicide. i promise i'm not the only person your music has saved.
People aren't going to like everything and that's fine. I've done shows where people weren't feeling what I played and cleared the dance floor. Take it for what is and move on is my best advice. As you grow you just have to keep doing you and that's it. I personally love these daily videos and am interested in your process. Keep your head up and keep moving forward

I hate when people online will tell someone what IS or ISN’T YOU, when they literally have seen only a sliver of your being. The way they feel so entitled to tell artists what content they should or shouldn’t make is so baffling to me, like how can your brain actually process in a way you think you have domain or understanding over another person’s creativity? It’s so weird to me and I wish their was a magical repellent spray 🤣

Sorry, this is a part 2! 🙄🙀😠🙈 I would love to see your studio & how it functions! Yes, yes, yes! Love the vlogs! Don't stop! (Although every day might become a little laborious. Back off if you wish.) For my favorite channels, the creator is a very prominent part of my interest! Its a significant reason why I subscribe to a channel.
Watching your bopping from start to finish would be like sitting in the studio while the Beatles are creating "Let it Be!" I can't imagine how incredible that experience must have been! I would love to see this!

I don't think you need a thicker skin, that's victim blaming. Watching how negative comments get to creators is frustrating. (See William Osman's "I quit" video.) I couldn't do it. I get one mean comment somewhere (twitter, reddit, whatever) and I'm affected by it. I couldn't handle being famous online.

I knew you for a TikTok that went viral also in RUclips and decided to follow your YT channel because I love your talent. It is your life and you do what it's best for you with it. If now you feel like making vlogs, you go, girl!
There will be people that only like the shallow content and other that will be happy to know more deeply about you.
I hope people could be more respectful and if they don't like something, they could just move on instead of needing to share their negative comments of "disapproval".

lol, just listening to your voice, I feel like you could have a career in voice acting! somewhere between a Kristen Schaal, Cree Summer or a Tara Strong.
about the daily videos: on the one hand I liked the mystery of not knowing what your voice really sounds like, and your channel being branded as a musician who turns goofy tiktoks into kickin' beats, but I know sticking with a year-long goal is tough and editing videos is even tougher. I think this is taking lots of effort and I'm glad you're putting the work in!
People post mean things for so many reasons and they're all a reflection on themselves. I know it's hard to not let it get to you but you are talented and you know it. Water off a ducks butt baby! I'm here for whatever videos you're making. Your music is so good and often really funny too. Your thoughts/vlogs on the creative process are really interesting as well. I appreciate you! As far as the hate spreaders go, brush that off. Take time for yourself, take deep breaths, and don't feed those trolls. If you know what you want, go for it. Many humans are afraid of change. You've got this.

It's not too crazy for some people not to be happy with a big change in content from all random music shorts to daily vlogs. I think you have to either just not care if some people aren't happy or you could make a second channel for these vlogs or something. Although this RUclips channel is mostly just TikTok reposts anyway so people could just follow you on there if they just want that content.
Thank you for the content you create. You are so funny and talented. Your videos make me laugh and your tunes are totally catchy. You bring joy to people's lives, please don't stop doing what you're doing. It takes a lot of guts to open yourself up on the internet to see the real you. Is your name real? Any relation to Sitting Bull? Meredith is an unusual name. Is there a story why your parents picked it? Maybe there is a story or song there.

I will never be able to wrap my head around the people who go out of their way to complain about content that they chose to consume that was provided to them at no cost. There comes a point where people are complaining because they enjoy the act of complaining. That or they really want to be noticed by the content creator and feel like negativity is the fastest way to do that.
