Bought this last night. Playing a Schecter Scorpion baritone in drop A straight to my Audient id44 ch 1 DI. 11 on the default setting. Not sure if I wanna jump for joy or cry tears of sorrow for taking this long to get it. Game changer.
@@OTTOAUDIO really geekin hard on this one. it's everything ive wanted my real amp to be. extremely hard just to get past the default preset because it just sounds better than anything ive tweaked on for hours. makes me want to write a bunch of low tuned songs. this is the inspiration ive needed since this past summer, i hate that it came from gear, but im not gonna argue. now i gotta get off here and empty my noggin to tape. thanks for your awesome creation.
@@OTTOAUDIO Yesterday, I bought TS Mini, and I didn't know how much of difference It could make also for plugins along with real amp. combining with eh eh eh eh plugin at my trial mode, it sounds fantastic.
No one ever seems to mention how easy on cpu the II II II II is. I don't know how Otto achieved this, but other companies should take note and follow suit. I have a trash computer, yet can easily track through the II with no problem. Three cheers to Otto audio for making the best metal amp sim currently available.
Overloud THU is slightly more efficient on CPU usage but I was very impressed with OA's usage as well. No glitches or pops. Neural DSP is terrible for high cpu usage
Great ampsim with an awful load of tonal options. The Mono/Stereo mode (2xtracking sim) I've seen before on Audio Assault's most recent ampsims (Doubletracker toggle in the options, which works only when placed on a stereo track); and the recent Petrucci by NDSP. The latter I haven't tried. The OTTO mode absolutely kills AA's one to a point I've compared true double tracked guitar parts to a single tracked run through the OTTO's mono/stereo mode, and it's criminally convincing to a point you really have to dig in to hear the imperfections of the true double tracked versions we love them for. The emulation is good enough for rough demo sketches imho though. Another great way of finding new tones with this plugin is to start off with a cab I would usually avoid and then run through impedance curve selection. Surprise, just stumbled into a new tone I would most probably miss otherwise
I've stopped using my axefx since buying this. Nothing touches it for ultra low tunings, it keeps the tightness on low palm muted notes no matter how low you go, which no other amp sim I've tried can match 😁😁😁
Just bought because of this review and this Sim is the SHIT! On a side note I'd like to get your thoughts on the whole Russia/Ukraine stuff going on. Don't trust the news but genuinely worried bout you being so close to everything.
I love this thing. I have found that if you use external boosts before it you can shape that gain character even more than what is already possible in II II II II. It certainly deserves the praise and respect it's gotten. I have hardly recorded with it because I'm busy jamming and mesing with the dozens of controls lol. Otto is the man. Looking forward to what's next. Brutal demo as always Scott. Peace 🍻
Got my guitar back from the shop. Compared this with the nameless, u530, and audiority solidus. The otto 11 11 won on all distortion fronts by miles. The nameless actually sounded too bassy for me.
just found yhis today....its brutal!!!! and easy to use!!! try the gojira plugin presets to drop the tuning....its so heavy! i can tune to E standard and drop it to G haha
Its plain too hear. This is a beast. Otto audio is def one of the best around. Stl tones. Neural dsp. Mercuriall and now Otto Audio. These are the top amp sim companys out there period. No others inc amplitube bias blue cat waves guitar rig none of these come close too these top amp sims. Otto brings something new to the table and its well worth the money.
I have Otto and TH-U by Overloud at the top. Overloud TH-U has their "Rig Player" that is supposed to profile real amps and cabs like a Kemper and it sounds great. If youre after a specific amp I dont think anyone is doing it better in terms of plugins. However, if you dont want a specific amp but would rather have a plugin that is capable of giving you the tools to find something unique then the Otto 11-11-11-11 is the best Ive found. Something theyve done with that thing is special.
This ampsim is a beast! I'm not a low tuning guy, but even at standard tuning it sounds massive. I recently put a video showing it in a song I recorded using standard tuning. I just can say one thing: go get it!
Hey there, when I'm just playing the guitar straight into Cubase, the plugin itself simulates the double-tracked sound. When I recorded two different guitar tracks, I set the plugin to "Stereo" on a group and passed a left and right guitar track into the plugin :)
I have 20+ years programming MIDI drums. Also put together an exhaustive training course for MIDI drum programming to help others write better drums :) It's here: bit.ly/3iquRp4
Great review, this thing sounds evil. By the way - I recently discovered that if you add the Mercurial WS-1 chorus vst at the end of your guitar chain it achieves this same "double track" effect.
I have just bought PRS M15 Amp.And no simulation since the day.Sounds awesome with boost and without boost.Great and this is not simulation and i am happy with it.
Glad to get this solved with you. For anyone else reading, it was simply a permissions issue with macOS new security features, you have to allow apps access to the documents folder where presets are stored 🤜🤛
@@OTTOAUDIO So after fixing the issue and getting a chance to play with it last night, ya, badass, metal as f*k! By far the best metal amp sim out there.

Exactly. I can literally quad track with an instance on all four tracks and not have a single issue.

Well it doesn't have tons of effects and so on that some other amp plugins have.

Is it made of cardboard? Cause if not I'm dissapointed
You can definitely dial in a solid cardboard sound 🤣

You said that you only use one instance of the amp. However, are you panning the DI tracks hard left and right to achieve the double tracking effect?
