You can fit none fire rated down lights in two storey house, it's classed as one fire compartment, if you had an integral garage with a room above and down lights were being installed in that ceiling then they would need to be fire rated, because that's another fire compartment. Also building regs permit insulation to be removed for down lights, builders won't know that because they rely on the building inspector to tell them about building regulations, because they don't know them.
Those light fittings look fantastic. Perfect fix for my kitchen, no liveable space above and double boarded / floating. Will double check regs. Cheers guys!
i dont know what your worried about , looking at that PIR it isn't fitted correctly anyway they haven't closed the edges or fitted it tight enough so they are going to have leaks
Great video mate, when the roof is getting built, you should get in there and wire the lights from above, makes it much easier so you dont have to take all the cellotex out bud. Keep up with the great content!
CCT = Correlated Colour Temperature, basically choosing which colour of white, from warm to cool white. Personally I hate those led panel or round flat light as they don't last. Another alternative method to downlight is to put surface single spot.
Electricians need a webcam on site all the time to check on the builders / joiners / plasterers and that. Just get it to send a pic to us once and hour so we can phone them up and have the 'no, not like that. Have you been sniffing the plumbers solvent again?' talk 😁
Nout wrong with us fitters, master of all, jack of none.... Seen that on a shirt somewhere. Nice tip on the one continuous cable 👍 No need for eye protection when your hard as nails 😎 Good job lads 👍 big and crunchy.
why didn't you fit the robus studio lights . there as thin as a plasterboard sheet and you don't have the bezel sticking out .just a suggestion for you in the future

Used those lights couple of years ago for a small office, very good.

👏 I didn’t no what that meant either
CCT means "correlated colour temperature" which basically means you can switch the colour from say 2700k to 4800k
Colour changing rather than ‘correlated’ 😂😂😂
Remember that you don't need to bother with zones if you use cables with an earthed metallic covering (such as Ali-Guard).

Glad you thought of the kithen fitter.
The Cookie Monster hasn’t got his mic on, so we can’t hear his mmmmm 😂

"Electrician's worst enemy - electrician"? Sounds about right.
why dont u get a 2ah or 3ah battery for the stapler it must get heavy with the flexvolt
Why would any decent builder fit the celotex before the 1st fix electrics. Numpty 😖❤️
Coz they don’t want to cut it for cables.
@@supersparks9466 I know. Can’t get my head around it. They still have to cut it!
The builders fit the insulation because they are thickeds who couldn't spell Bob backwards.
Those lights look clever, send me a pic when the ceiling is done, I hate hate hate CELLOTEX hate it
Great job lads, do you have to run non migratable cable with the Cellotex like you do with polystyrene?
Great work and thanks for sharing this with us take care
Or correlated colour temperature to use it’s correct term 😀

How close to weight is your van? Are you sure it isn't over?
CCT Nick changeable colour tone 🤔😀😉👍 great job as per got myself a unilite gilet love it
What fixings are you use on the cables to hold to the breeze block ?
Lesson from the video... Adam prefers them big and chunky.... Pardon, excuse me, whaaaa.... 😄😄😄😄😄😄. Oh, nice video chaps
when does a rafter turn into a joist?? And if it where a joist where can you drill 'em :p
3 , is the magic number 😉👌
Why are you using a ring circuit
You need to get some quick wire T Plugs you’ll never go back
£135 / downlight? Ouch!
??

When is the new Velocity Bag you designed gonna drop ?
Colour changing… that might be a clue as to what CCT means (colour changing technology maybe?).
Colour changing technology
CCT
CCT in theatrical lighting referred to Colin, Colin & Terry who founded the company, but I suspect that's not what JCC were referring to ;)
CCT= Celotex Crushing Technology
Just recapping ? You didn’t do any capping
Nice Thumbnail
Have you seen the video by Liam from Oakwood? This is his take on fitting downlights in celotex. ruclips.net/video/bhLU1xkXJ1c/видео.html
