For example, the one loud “click” at the end is most likely the audio source music box recognizing that it’s reached the end of the music disk, and shutting off the machine. Looking up videos of “Pholyphons,” I was able to find several music disks which sound near identical to this arrangement, and they all feature that click sound at the end when the disk stops playing.
Fun fact: the exact reason this song actually plays when the power dies is because freddy himself is actually programmed to play this tune in order to calm down kids if the power in the pizzeria does ever actually go out with children inside. Seems like it was used for the complete opposite effect. You slowly get up and off of your bed, and walk gently to your bedroom door. You open it slowly so that it won’t creak too loudly. Once you are into the hallway, you crack the door slightly. You walk down your hallway with floral wallpaper and try to be quick so that the cold wood floor won’t freeze your feet. As you’re halfway through the hallway you start to hear something. This song begins playing from your grandmothers old music box which sits in the dining room, and hasn’t been touched in years. You stop, and start to feel a tangle in your stomach. You follow the sound slowly to the dining room, tip toeing with each step. You try not to wake your family. You approach the dining room, your heart beating faster than ever. The music stops. You stop. You wait for a couple of seconds and get chills thinking about what just happened. You forget about the water you were going to get and walk as fast as you could to your room without waking your parents. You get back in bed and hide under the covers for the rest of the night.
