I would have liked to see a larger Dipper/Pacifica story too but I’ve also always appreciated how they stayed on the Dipper/Wendy arc because I think it’s ultimately one of the best growth lessons for the audience. As a straight guy growing up in the 80s/90’s every cartoon I watched treated female characters like the “prize” for the male lead. GF was one of, if not the, first cartoons my generation watched that put an honest and clear message out to boys about a friendship with a girl being a thing to value instead of a romance with them being a thing to win. “Strive to be someone worthy of loving” is my absolute favorite line of the entire show (actually have a tattoo of it lol) because it’s the culmination of watching Dipper learn this. Its been interesting watch a diverse audience of people react to this show a decade later- you, Mosco, etc.- because GF’s one contemporary weakness is it’s a very heteronormative show, but from a cis male perspective Wendy is such an important character for young boys to see. She’s never, at any point, realistically depicted as a “thing” to “get.” This is Dipper’s lesson to learn and this is the episode where he admits it, and that’s so valuable for young boys to learn from.
15:09 well technically the car chasing scene with some reality warping comes from The Amazing World Of Gumball and precisely from my favourite episode ever: The Job from season two
"Time is dead and meaning has no meaning! Existence is upside-down and I reign supreme! WELCOME, ONE AND ALL, TO WEIRDMAGEDDON!" This is my favorite line from this episode!! The writers had so much fun making this episode with a lot of creativity!!!
You missed something on season two episode with the lumberjack ghost when dipper got turned into wood he took the same pose as the safe shifter when he got frozen and he’s gonna stay and dippers form
I know that this was a while ago so you probably won't read this, but this series has been an absolute delight!! I love how into it you are and how quickly you pick things up. I do want to say on the subject of cringey romance...I always thought that was kind of the point. At least from what I can tell from commentaries and in my own opinion. Wendy isn't a prize to be won, and Dipper realizes that and realizes he values her relationship to him as a friend. Wendy is the unrequited crush, which is, apparently, something allos have and grow from (I am aro/ace so idk). Mabel goes totally boy crazy, but she learns ultimately that these crushes don't mean anything compared to the relationship she has with her brother/family. And in the end, they're kids. Kids are cringe. As an aro/ace, I kinda always appreciated that there weren't any end game couples and the lesson from the whole show was ultimately you don't need romantic love to be loved and happy. On the topic of LGBTQ/Queer rep, since this was 2 million months ago you have probably gotten this rec 2 million times, but "Book of Bill". Highly recommend. Bill and Ford aren't just hinted at having been lovers, Mabel calls Bill Ford's "ex." And McGucket is so head over heels for Ford that he messes up his relationship with his wife. It's a big messy love triangle (ba-dum-tish) between an evil triangle, his morally ambiguous six-fingered scientist boyfriend, and HIS doomed hillbilly scientist boyfriend. I'm legit obsessed.
My day started out pretty crappy today and this was really fun to watch, I really enjoy your videos. Btw, the reversed dialogue at the end of the intro is Bill saying "I'm watching you nerds."
According to Alex- during the production of these episodes, he had a board that just had "HOW TO KILL GOD" written in big letters in a room at a disney office- meaning for quite a few days, people would walk by and see that without context- and this has been my favourite fact ever since I learned it
Still wish they could do a reunion episode that takes place like 5 years later for Soos's wedding or Baby. Maybe then Dipper and Pacifica can get together.
"If I've learned anything this summer it's that you can't force someone to love you. The best you can do is strive to be someone worthy of loving." And this is why I love Dipper so much and why he's my favorite character in this show!! He's become more mature throughout the series!!! Also, I think he and Pacifica are perfect for each other!!!!
Welcome to Weirdmageddon! I’m pretty sure that this is the only episode where the Bill Cipher intro is shown in full instead of being shortened for time
I just finished binge watching gravity falls and came to watch your reactions wondering where the last eps were just for you to not have watched them yet.😭
I remember watching this episode when it first came out and being so mad that I didn’t know what was in the bubble where Mable was being kept. It didn’t surprise me that they ended with that has the cliffhanger but I was still mad about it. I was picturing all kinds of things of what it could be, like everyone else was but nothing could have prepared me for what actually was in there.
The whisper at the end of the Theme song is Bill saying “I’m watching you nerds!” and just a tip if you rewind the The entire weird Mageddon theme song it’s a remix of the original theme song in all the other episodes! (And sounds pretty good ngl) and another thing (this isn’t about gravity Falls) but I wanted you to watch Hilda for a while. I just forgot to comment on the other videos but now that you’re watching the dragon Prince, I am appeased. (Still, please watch it though!)
Can only imagine Elijah's reaction to the next episode. According to Journal 3, everyone began picking on Blendin for losing to Dipper and Mabel in "Blendin's Game". Bill came to him and offered to stop Time Baby from bothering him again.
If you're looking for a replacement show after you finish Gravity Falls, Vox Machina has 2 seasons out and you'd probably be wrapping up around the time season 3 premieres!
This is one of the best series finales ever. What he did to northwest it was the sounds he made that really freaked me out, he just sounds in pain and terrified. The fact they got Dipper and Wendy’s actual voice actors to do a cameo, Sues being amazing, entire episode is just fire.
We got to see Pacifica again!! Also, I agree with Elijah as well when she said that the relationship between Dipper and Pacifica was the only time that romance wasn't cringeworthy in this show. Its too bad we didn't get any more scenes between these two, or at least 1 more episode. Although, the Lost Legends comic does talk a lot about Dipper and Pacifica's relationship.
Apparently it’s a side effect of the show crew initially have zero interest in developing Pacifica at first. But she became popular & made “Golf War” & “Northwest Mansion Mystery” because of it. And I guess her not appearing in much episodes is a leftover of their initial lack development plans for her.
I did not realize Linda Coralline was the voice actress for Wendy. she went to high school with my dad, like they were in drama class together. this is actually so cool to me
I’m actually really glad they gave Gideon that moment of… not quite redemption but a start. It’s so easy to want him dead but he is just a kid at the end of the day.
After you're done with Gravity Falls you should check out some of the extra content like Dippers Guide To The Unexplained, Mabels Guide To Everything, Fixxin it with Soos and more
"Weirdmageddon": The rift between dimensions is destroyed, Mabel is taken prisoner, and Bill Cipher introduces his freaky crew. The people of Gravity Falls "get stoned," and the town becomes a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Ford and Dipper face down Bill Cipher and are neutralized. Dipper finds a Nacho booby trap, Wendy and Toby Determined at the mall. Dipper and Wendy look for transportation and are captured by Gideon. Wendy shows what a Corduroy can do, and there's a race to Mabel's prison. A showdown with Gideon leads to a key and lock. Don't worry about your pace watching "Gravity Falls," you're a better reactor than those "two or three-at-a-time" bingers.
Regarding your statement about the pacing. I think it helps that the show is one that’s already done and dusted. A lot of times those reactors that do multiple at a time are doing it for a reason, whether it be a new season coming out soon, or trying to actively catch up while a show is still airing.
You should definitely rewatch the show on your own time some day. There were clues and foreshadowing right from the very beginning, it's mind boggling!
12:05: That would have been cool though, Bill getting sucked back into the dimension he came from, Gideon holding onto his foot and going with him, all Jafar style.

You gotta check out the song that was gonna be the original opening for this episode! The deleted song animatic is called "it's gonna get weird"
0:01 I have that same Kinder Surprise toy sitting on my desk
Bill is ready to cause a lot of weirdness and chaos. Weirdmaggeddon has just begun. The voice actors at 14:29 was perfect
🤪🤪🤪😱😱😱
My day started out pretty crappy today and this was really fun to watch, I really enjoy your videos. Btw, the reversed dialogue at the end of the intro is Bill saying "I'm watching you nerds."
THE INTRO WHISPERS SAY IM WATCHING YOU NERDS IN BILLS VOICE
Fun fact: This was the first episode of Gravity Falls I'd ever seen! The weirdness bubbles caught me so off guard I fell off my couch laughing.
Bill said: “IM WATCHING YOU NERDS!”
Part 2 Will Make You Mad And Cry At Once.
According to Alex- during the production of these episodes, he had a board that just had "HOW TO KILL GOD" written in big letters in a room at a disney office- meaning for quite a few days, people would walk by and see that without context- and this has been my favourite fact ever since I learned it
Fun fact: in the foot part of the new opening, we can see a living tree running like we saw big foot running in the forest on the original opening
Still wish they could do a reunion episode that takes place like 5 years later for Soos's wedding or Baby. Maybe then Dipper and Pacifica can get together.
"If I've learned anything this summer it's that you can't force someone to love you. The best you can do is strive to be someone worthy of loving."
And this is why I love Dipper so much and why he's my favorite character in this show!! He's become more mature throughout the series!!! Also, I think he and Pacifica are perfect for each other!!!!
3:39 MOST HORRIFYING THING I’VE SEEN IN A KIDS SHOW
14:41 knew exactly what she was gonna say lol 😂😂😂
Welcome to Weirdmageddon! I’m pretty sure that this is the only episode where the Bill Cipher intro is shown in full instead of being shortened for time
3:41 You nearly spit out your water! 🤣🤣🤣
btw the backwards text in the intro is “i’m watching you nerds”
There is a deleted scene with the voice actors where Dipper's actor is horrified by what he has become and Wendy's voice actor is like "I look GOOD"
I loved see the voice actors as Dipper and Wendy playing them for real so much❤❤
Can only imagine Elijah's reaction to the next episode.
According to Journal 3, everyone began picking on Blendin for losing to Dipper and Mabel in "Blendin's Game". Bill came to him and offered to stop Time Baby from bothering him again.
Now it's time for I GROW MADDENED
This episode just made me remember how awesome Wendy is and during an apocalypse she is awesome
Dipper and Wendy passing through the madness bubbles was so funny!!! LOL!!!
If you're looking for a replacement show after you finish Gravity Falls, Vox Machina has 2 seasons out and you'd probably be wrapping up around the time season 3 premieres!
I feel like Elijah always sips water at the worst timing lol 3:42
the backwards diologue at the end of the intro has Bill Cipher saying "I'M WATCHING YOU!"
This is one of the best series finales ever. What he did to northwest it was the sounds he made that really freaked me out, he just sounds in pain and terrified. The fact they got Dipper and Wendy’s actual voice actors to do a cameo, Sues being amazing, entire episode is just fire.
Y'all who wants Elijah to react to basics in behavior!(fundamental paper education)
weirdmageddon is still one of my fave cartoon finales til this day. It is a trip from start to end
I did not realize Linda Coralline was the voice actress for Wendy. she went to high school with my dad, like they were in drama class together. this is actually so cool to me
7:45 is one of my favourite lines form the show
I’m actually really glad they gave Gideon that moment of… not quite redemption but a start.
The reverse of the intro the reverse part at the end is bill saying
"I'm watching you, nerds!"
"Who thought of these things." Dana Terrace thought of these things.
3:43 good question 😅🤷♂️
You should definitely rewatch the show on your own time some day. There were clues and foreshadowing right from the very beginning, it's mind boggling!
WE IN THE ENDGAME NOW LADS
12:05: That would have been cool though, Bill getting sucked back into the dimension he came from, Gideon holding onto his foot and going with him, all Jafar style.
Can't wait fir the next one. Elijah's gonna LOVE it 😅
Did you notice the "Created by Bill Cipher" during the "twisted version" of the intro? 🤣🤣🤣
14:28 We need more voice actors cosplaying as their characters.
BTW, there's an extended version of that scene with more dialogue.
The Weirdmageddon intro looks so cool and creepy!!! I love it!!!
