Thanks for watching! I mis-spoke on Crit Surge, I said it gives you critical, it actually gives you Weapon and Spell Damage. But what tips would you give players that want to play solo?
Play the storys and quests don't rush with dungeon leveling. Did it once and i lost interest in the game because i didnt know what to do at a certain point.
I've done group stuff but I feel antisocial so I've been grinding solo and it's fun to notice the knowledge and true damage shine when you go solo. How you dps, survive and are able to last a world boss on your own that has mechanics. Some are group but I've done them in group already to complete my map, joined some vet dungeons and trials etc. Ever since i got the pale ring, and restructured some skills, i love how i am doing my all time favorite dark souls moves by dancing and dodging around a world boss and stabbing it or firing at it. Nobody can judge me when I'm alone at late hours in a far distant area in the zone so i do what i want with my gear and dps.
Just started playing ESO about a month ago. I absolutely love your content. I really appreciate the fact that you provide a wealth of beginner guides despite the fact that you're a seasoned vet. Keep up the great work!
I started a Necromancer a little over two months ago when I came back. I had a Templar from over two years ago, but wanted to start fresh. I 100% agree with everything you said at 3:26. It's best to have at least one AOE, a single damage attack, a shield and healing. On my front bar I have a spammable AOE (I have a spammable single target DOT on my back bar), a second AOE, a third AOE that complements the first, a shield (the Beckoning Armor you showed) and healing with Spirit Guardian. If I'm doing dungeons or trials where they may need more damage, I would switch out the shield or the second AOE for something like Inner Light from the Mages Guild. None of this came easily. I did my homework and watched video after video, read guide after guide. And for newbies, always remember, you will see people with contradicting opinions on how you should build your character. This is completely normal. I've asked many questions on the ESO subreddit only to receive different and contradicting answers. Go with what you feel is best and what interests you more. I went with a more defensive/subsistence/survival/sustain build that sacrificed doing more damage.
I love soloing. I can usually wait for a few folks to show up for a world boss and we can all jump 'em together. I have just recently just started soloing dungeons, well the ones you can get through that is. It's great fun especially with a companion.
I’m a solo player on Xbox and I just recently hit CP160 last month with 6 different character/classes and have enjoyed all the content I’ve played/experienced so far, playing entirely solo without grouping up with anyone. (Actually the Only time I’ve ever grouped up with anyone was with a couple randoms for about 20-30min of Dolmen grinding one day this past summer). The only thing I haven’t tried out is Dungeons. Probably because it requires groups. So I guess I just need to try it.
There are some great dungeons you can solo, just gotta get the right set up. Fungal Grotto, Wayrest Sewers I (not II because of stun mechanic that requires another player), Elden Hollow aren't too bad to get your feet wet. And don't forget those public dungeons, some are a bit of a challenge.
@@darthzero4623 So would you say it's possible to exclude trading and still have a good time soloing ESO? I just figured that they don't have a normal AH. I think it's so stupid, because it's the most solo friendly MMO out there but they force you into a guild (and play constantly) in order to trade your items.
I was kinda chuckling when you'd talk about the DK, because that's the only one I can do anything with 😄 I usually prefer casters, but ended up liking a stamblade enough to reach 810CP with him (literally the evening before they announced the 2.0 change 😭😄 ). Kept dabbling with other classes though until I found what I liked with magdk to the point that he's become my main. I focus on lots of DoTs and AoE, basically setting everything on fire and keeping that way, and I use Mad Tinkerer because I think it's fun, it's kinda like bowling haha. Only group content I bother with is stuff like dragons because I just don't care about dungeons and whatnot right now. Sustain can definitely be an issue for me, but I've done a lot more with him than I could ever do on my stamblade (which, granted, is a less forgiving class and harder to play well).
One thing to add is Champion Points Use a combination of damaging and sustaining ones. A simple change to two lines of the Warfare constellation made me complete vet Maelstrom Arena
Your videos are so helpful, love them. Little constructive criticism just because I've noticed this, your mic picks up a lot of your breathing at times
So where would be a good place to good place to go to see solo builds? Like if I wanted to run a templar solo where could I go to find what skills, stats, etc. work best?
I’m using a magcro and have mirri setup for healing with all minus ability time gear. She really does an amazing job. I literally almost NEVER need to heal myself. Along with spirit guardian I’m pretty hard to kill. I’m at CP150 and using mother’s sorrow and Medusa. Working on getting my alchemy to 50 and getting ring of the pale order then off to get some real weapons and and some real sets
Will you still start in Cold Harbor if you buy the expansions? I haven’t played this game in years and have this thing where I prefer to play in order. Cheers.
I'ma need to know exactly what that armor in the thumbnail is piece by piece! I know the chest and gloves are Daggerfall motif, but what about the helm and shoulders?
I’m reading that False God’s Devotion drops from a Trial… not exactly a place a solo player can just regularly go or want to go. Ironic? I’ve looked around guild stores and cannot find any for sale either.
Really hope we see alittle more changes to companions. Other than more variety my question to the community would be: How would you like to see them change? My 3 would be: 1) Dailies, the Companions can do one specific "job" one per day while not summoned or while you are not logged in (Mirri could search for treasure maps). 2) Companions bag space, even if this was linked to eso+, having the ability to have gear presets that could be saved in their inventory would be a a bit of help. As a bonus they could hold items like treasure maps (Mirri) or siege items (baston) as a bonus baston could get a spawn point in pvp areas where you can access him and the inventory. 3) Items (scrolls or books?) that will teach Companions mechanics for dungeons and such.
Very good video I am a new player who is enjoying the game a lot! I have one thing to point out though,, you were talking about some good solo armors to have but they require going into trials- how would I get them if trials are large group content?
If you truly want to solo some of the harder content you will need to group up at some point to get some sets....I love playing solo and almost do all the time....but i had to do some grouping to get the appropriate gear
If you refuse to do anything but play solo, then you aren't. The video isn't called tips for solo-only players, it's for soloing. Trail gear isn't essential though.
I'm new to ESO and can't find anything to show a nice build for starting out or what sets I should be saving also keeping in mind I don't know the lingo yet.
Soloing as a necromancer is fun and easy for me. But I tried warden and didn’t get it lol which is kinda funny because people always say they’re very similar.
Any guide to increase DPS for a sorcerer? I'm up to the point where I can easily solo public dungeons (not much of a challenge, tbh) , but when it comes to group dungeons I feel like I'm lacking a punch. Also, world bosses are still way, way out of my league unless I have back up of at least two more players. Please help! :(
I xp grind with my Magplar Neiren'eth+Pillar of Nirn+ Overwhelming Surge just mows through content. I use Mirri with a 2hander that way I get two assassination skills from her
Playing solo for bit helps you become a better player in the long term as long as you’re not using one of Minotaurs one bar builds or some kind of heavy attack build. Go focus on spirit slayer or flawless conq for a bit then come back and join a pug vet pledge and you’ll be carrying the group 75% of the time
Hey question for anyone who knows. If I run a bastion tank and use ring of pale order, can bastion still heal me? And does he lower my rings healing by 4%? Thanks if anyone knows
is the game worth playing even today? I'm waiting on Elden Ring to be released and I'm super bored rn and want to play something fun. I have no experience with MMO games but I would like to learn.
okay, but the question is what i am supposed to do solo? The world mobs are too easy and they doesnt drop anything good and there is just no point besides doing the stories which ive done alot. Map bosses are too easy on some maps, and on some my companion dies in 5s and they are undoable. I have no way of doing these maelstrom arenas cuz I have no dlc and they have banned rubles payment so i cant even buy it cuz my steam is in rubles. I cant queue solo for dungs and there is no point also. I think that the game is missing hard on challenging solo pve content. I would do trials I dont mind playing with other players but no voice chat in this game makes it hard to socialize and these funny trials that I didnt manage to do even once in every guild are once a week on specific day and hour. Sad that new world has everything eso doesnt and the other way it goes aswell :/
“Solo player” and “trial gear” can’t realistically go in the same sentence together as far as advice is concerned. That’s just not how the game works. I’m newish (level 41 sorcerer), literally had never attempted a trial, and realized I would need a large, skilled group to get the gear you recommend. I misinterpreted the video as advice for solo-only players, not advanced players who sometimes wanna go solo
I play this solo and is really great but only some content I need to do with group likes the undaunted also I want to know how to do trial I really want to do rock Grove but I don't know who to do a group for that can you do a video explain how to do group for trial?
I’ve ran into the problem of needing a trial gear set to properly equip my character. But it’s impossible for me to run a trial solo right now. And it’s difficult to find a group to do trials with. Finding a guild that regularly runs trials is also difficult. I’ve only encountered guilds that have set scheduled days and time frames for running trial content. And that’s with the expectation that you’re already a cp 1000. Working a full time job with a baby, guilds just simply become an option I don’t have. Not trying to come off as complaining. Just wanting to give off the fair warning that I wish I had when picking up this game. It’s hella fun to play. But unless you have time, there’s certain “walls” you’re going to run into as a solo player. There may be a lot of “settling” you’ll have to do.
I never liked how they say if you played oblivion or Skyrim you would feel right at home in eso which is not true at all, eso is way harder to make a custom build and figure out what to do next or compete against other players In PvP. Conclusion is eso is way different than Skyrim and oblivion despite what zenimax says and when I came to eso from Skyrim I was very disappointed and most would be too so you have to understand what an mmo is before you start the game
