Distox2 Calibration with PVC jig

Back yard calibration method for the distox cave survey tool. Lowest error I can get is 0.12 when I take my time and not rush it like in this video. The horizontal and vertical holes drilled are 1/4” holes which allow the end of the calibration handle to pivot smoothly. The diagonal holes are 5/16” but not drilled all the way through as that’s the same size as the diameter of the handle. All holes act as the front and back site station points.

Great video and thanks for posting it. I have made a similar frame and have managed an error of 0.27 in the back garden which I am pretty pleased with for a first attempt!
