VASELINE improves grip on goalkeeper gloves?! - Shay Given Theory

So I saw this tweet a few months ago about Shay Given applying Vaseline to his goalkeeper gloves and saw it again the other day, so I decided I was going to quickly test Shay Givens theory and apply Vaseline theoneglove invictus stealth goalkeeper gloves, I chose these gloves as they had no grip prior to the video therefore thought this would be the best way to test whether the Vaseline directly effected the grip of the goalkeeper gloves!
Overal the gloves were grippier after adding the Vaseline to the goalkeeper gloves, although the grip improved on the gloves I would not recommend this techniques yet as I am not aware of the long term side effects this technique could have on the gloves and the latex.

The most suitable thing that is going to improve your grip is the gk spray for 20 pounds. I haven't tried it yet but people say it is useful
