The synthesis machine is available for characters level 9 and above. Like traditional crafting, synthesis crafting can randomly fail, consuming only fuel. However, unlike traditional crafting where you lose all materials, the resources used in synthesis crafting are returned to you if the craft fails. To craft or fuse an implant or weapon using the synthesis machine, you must first know the traditional recipe for that item. Remember that fusion attempts, like other synthesis processes, can fail randomly.
@ go to the crafting bench associated to the gear you’re trying to synthesize. When you click on the bench to open the crafting menu, look at the bottom of the crafting window and you will see the synthesizer tab!
Yes, it was important to mention in the video that the synthesis machine gives players a chance to receive an item of higher quality than expected (known as a "proc"). Thank you 😊
How do you use the skin upgrade? Is there a specific workbench synth machine I need to use? How do I take what I'm wearing and put it into the machine?
Currently, the only way to upgrade a skin is to buy an identical one or get it as a drop and use the synthesis machine before equipping it. There's no way to remove a skin you're currently wearing and place it in your backpack for use in the synthesis machine. The developers are aware of this issue, as many players have reported it on Discord. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon.
Currently, there are ways to obtain tier 3 recipes, but the chance is extremely low-around 2%. These methods aren't integrated into regular gameplay. The developers recently addressed this question about tier 3 recipe availability. They said: “We will add Tier 3 recipes to vendors. This change will allow players to focus on crafting and selecting the right gear and stats, giving everyone equal opportunities to progress according to their intended builds. As a result, this will lead to a more balanced and competitive environment for all”.
Let's use a bow as an example. To craft an Apocalyptic Scrap Bow (T2) traditionally, you need several components, including an uncommon quality Apocalyptic Sharp Bow (T1). For crafting with the synthesis machine, you need the same components but with a rare quality bow. The synthesis process adds one chip slot, while using an epic quality bow adds two chip slots.
so im trying to upgrade common mana amulets to an uncommon for the quest.. i have 6 mana amulets and synth fuel.. ive gone to the crafting station associated with crafting implants and everytime i try to drag the amulets or synth fuel into the slots or right click them when in the synth tab itll make that noise it makes when you press a skill thats on cooldown, and a little yellow thing pops up in the center but has no text in it so i dont know what im missing but i just cant get it to work, wont let me put anything in the synth machine for some reason, im level 10 so i would think im high enough, is there a quest or something you have to do?
How can you use the machine to upgrade a green weapon using a blue upgrade kit? I tried, put the green weapon, the blue upgrade kit and the synthethic fuel. But Just consumed the fuel and nothing happened. Am I missing another material?
The synthesis machine should work here. Just ensure you're above level 9 to use it. Keep in mind there's a chance of failure during crafting, which will consume your fuel. If you're level 9 or higher, try again-I know several players who successfully upgrade weapons this way.
The synthesis machine doesn't work with resources. It can help you craft and modify implants, runes, chips, and weapons. You can also use it to improve skin quality. It would be great if it worked the way you described.
@4:36 You mentioned combining 6 items of the same quality to get one of better quality, but did not show how it works exactly. I ask because I just tried it and it did not turn 6 commons of same item into 1 uncommon of that item. All it did was consume a fuel. Do you know if this is still working or if I did something wrong?
Currently, you need to learn the recipe first. For example, if you want to upgrade the quality of a mana amulet implant using the 6-1 mechanic, you must buy and learn the mana amulet traditional crafting recipe. There's a known bug that requires placing 7 common items in the machine, although it only uses 6 of them in the process. Hopefully, the developers will fix this issue soon.
This morning, i tried to combine 6 uncommon mana amulets to make the green one for the quest, and it seems to fail the attemp. I tried again and it just worked. Sadly the greedy NPC took my amulet for himself....
If you're standing near the workbench, are above level 9, and have the traditional recipe for the desired fusion, everything should work fine. I haven't seen the developers change anything in this system.
No, besides implants, you can also craft and modify weapons, runes, chips, and skins. I chose to demonstrate how the synthesis machine works with implants because this is the area where I have the most expertise.
During Alpha 4, players could obtain fuel from many locations. I believe the drop possibilities remain unchanged in Early Access. However, I understand why this question comes up. I reached level 9 yesterday and haven't found any fuel yet. Perhaps they've reduced the fuel drop rate. This seems logical given the currently weak overall drop balance. I hope this situation will improve in future patches and updates.
@@whymeowmeow I think they did reduce it, all the ones i had were from quests. I'm level 13. However D'Rek sells some for 17g one iirc. I hope too, as it is end game required.

I’m glad to hear they’re changing that! Started a whole new character just to get another chest for my destroyer

How can i get T3 recipes? Or t3 implants are only accessible through synthesis?

does the 6:1 work with raw gathering materials? For example turn 6 moonstone(green) -> neon mushroom(blue)?
