One of the most underrated RUclipsrs! This is the best and most detailed camera comparison of the new 200pro vs 100 ultra I've seen so far! I I have only one question that on the night video comparison you made between 52:00-53:10 the vivo x100 Ultra looks like it is out of focus all the time and everything is very blurry. It doesn't even look that is using a 1inch camera that should have an advantage in the night videography and its totally incomparable to the video quality of x200pro. Could you please retest them in a similar situation and tell me if that was an error or if this the real difference that we have seen on that video? Thank you in advance and keep the hard work!
You always amuze me with your unbelievable thoughts and hard work with Mobile phone camera comparisons. You are the only RUclipsr who can review devices to this level of comparisons. It's simply mind blowing. Love from Goa (Former Portuguese colony), India.
@@AlienTechnologies33 what do u think.. u prefer x200 pro or x100 ultra? im searching ur conclusion and result at the end but nothing. so i asked here.
@zombiezom222 Hard to make conclusions after only 1 day of use. But. X100 Ultra is slightly better for photography, Street Photography mode has HDR, ultrawide is wider and more Fun, 1 inch gives more pleasing image. But x200 pro is better for video, it loses less battery over day, and right now has slightly better features. But speakers are not that good, not bad, not great.
just the best one out there. Your youtube content I mean. Incredible man. I would only like a whole go through the OS because I've never had that one in particular so I'd like to see every function. Maybe a video fully dedicated to this. Awesome professionalism, keep the good work!
@gt3gi0 I would like to, but I want to focus on some other tech aspects. Little bit of laptops, may be about gear for filming yourself and starting your own channel etc., philosophycal videos about technology and how it affects our life and future of it. But of course smartphones takes a large place in the modern era and society, so I won't completely ignore it. But to tell the truth I want to highlight big steps, and do not want to be caught in a loop of endless smartphone reviews with 1-2% difference. I want to make videos on more wide variety of topics, so I can get more attention of this channel and get it slightly more self-sufficient, right now I have to life support it from side 🌱 But it will be fun to see how smartphone market will turn out in 2-3 years and compare them with my previous videos, because we know strong and weak parts of all of them
I only recently came across your channel, but immediately subscribed after watching some of your videos. I really like your style and reviews, and a lot of focus on the China phones, which always set the benchmark for cameras (especially Vivo). X200 Pro owner, absolutely love that phone. 💪
That was the best comparison of these two phones by far. It seems like X200 pro shoots significantly better video and x100 ultra is slightly better for photos. It would be great if you can include more 60fps comparison on the next video (60fps quality is sometimes different from 30fps on some phones). Thanks for the hard work!
I used to make 60 fps, will include it in the next video, also will try to use more slow motion, do not know about 8k, wish we had 2k, 4k slow motion instead
Interesting video, good job! Regarding your question on what I'd like to see in your next video, as a parent here is one of my challenges; taking non-blurry images of children in low light is usually very difficult because they're always moving. Which phone/setting can tackle this problem the best? Of course I don't expect you to freak people out by taking pictures of their kids on the street but any moving subject in low light will do. Thanks in advance.
@@AlienTechnologies33X series in vivo products are flagships. But their flagships are divided by price range and specs as well, just like Samsung S series. Vivo midrange are V series
@@emirobinatoru I sold 13 pro not long ago, I tested it vs my friend's 14 pro and 15 pro, difference was almost negligible, according to other users, many do not see any difference 15 pro vs 16 pro. I have "One true king", "Game of Phones" (or Leica Dragon, need to recheck), and latest "Star Phones Ep 1". I tested not 16 pro, but 13 pro, before I make full apple eco system videos (to get tons of hate and dislikes). I am not impressed by its performance
@@ronjatter Do you mean using SSD space for RAM? I always turn it off, not waste physical health in long term, the same as on macintosh, swap memory slowly kills ssd that is soldered in. By turning off I meant that there is nothing that you cant turn on in the future, but using something unnecessary that you do not need can lead to battery drain etc.
@@AlienTechnologies33 Yes the memory expansion feature. For some reason benchmark and storage speeds are significantly lower if you turn this option off. For some reason it seems to be doing a lot more than just giving extra swap memory. My guess is the phone is optimized to have that feature enabled and when you turn it off it is also turning other stuff off at the same time.
Thank you. I noticed that new youtube algorithms are weird, they create a bubble and recommend you the same stuff, half from my recommend tab is from "watch later". I have a hard time to see new stuff in my page and have to every time manually clean it.
Adding a comment.. who knows another comment might kick youtubes video algorithm into giving more exposure! Thanks for the review, was waiting for this one as the definitive. One thing I'm interested in seeing is more detailed look at raws in similar scenarios as jpegs. Interested if the differences in the main are due to optical/sensor quality or processing
In astrophotography to take pictures of the stars, which one do you think is better? Are they the same? Between the X200 Pro and the X100 Ultra. Or maybe the Samsung S24 Ultra is the best in this area?
I have a s24 Ultra videos on the channel, but they are just my subjective opinions, some Samsung fans were not happy about that, 50/50 like dislike ratio. I am not a big fan of what Samsung does with photos.
Maybe it's a great way to watch a camera race between the x200 pro and its current competitors in your video style. For example, Pixel 9 pro, 16 pro max, xiaomi 15 pro....
Excellent video, I just subscribed! I have a question for you if you don't mind. In the Screen Colors section of the settings, can you adjust the colors in any directions (e.g. towards, red, green, purple, etc.) or is it limited to a Cool/Warm slider? Thank you so much in advance!
Hello my friend i have a video about that ruclips.net/video/JQuYehDKH1c/видео.html it is on OS4, but almost everything is the same, besides what i mentioned in this video, also we have OLED flickering dimming in eyes protection tab in the Screen settings, which is huge plus.
Thank you for the extensive review, I have been waiting for it! In photos I feel like the main camera of the x100u is slightly better. Video performance is more interesting. The x200p has substantially better 'regular' video performance during nighttime but interestingly I noticed that the x100ultra has equal performance if not even better in LOG mode compared to x200pro LOG mode (59:00) (if we ignore the stabilization bug, hopefully it will be fixed). However the x200pro does have the feature of switching between lenses in LOG mode. What do you think?
@@stickmennoeller I need to do more testings, but I love new Log, Vivos Lut is slightly weird, but after couple of fixes looks very promising on x200 Pro, I will try to shoot more.
Ooh, X200 Pro might be of interest after all, do you think the OnePlus 13 or Xiaomi 15 will be able to compete? Btw, that custom lut at around 29:30 is so great, Imagine if custom luts could be loaded onto phones and used as default, it’d be so amazing and make it 100 times easier to pick a phone because bad color-science out of the box would become fixable and not a problem as long as the detail captured was good enough. A unrealistic dream.
Hard to tell right now, but default camera app is on Vivo is so strong and game changing that it hard to beat. About Video. Yezzz. This is what i am trying to tell on my videos. Dual ISO - Log - Like computational image with combining two exposures, without any wierd HDR jumps on face etc, like on Magic Lantern custom firmware on Canon Cameras, + Burn in Lut that we can upload, and Boom - We have best smartphone video.
really good job, really detailed view, the only thing that stops me from bying 200 pro is optical fingerprint scanner (i'm picking among small phones so vivo option is 200 mini) but still - kudos to your review
Hello my friend. Right now i face no problems with Ultra and this new Pro in terms of finger print scanner, very quick and responsive. But the top was on x90 Pro Plus, huge and instant scan
@@redamohammad1937 it depends. I feel like not, because Xiaomi is nice phone, may be battery life is not so great. But I recommend to wait couple more years for more improvements. Everything is just so expensive, I d better spend money elsewhere. You still get nice photo videos with Xiaomi. I have a video with Xiaomi, "Game of Phones", "Infinity Phones", "Leica Dragon". I think that you are okay for 3-5 years, or until get bored.
@@ViniciusFarias Yes, can see big improvements, but need to check raw to understand, right now on x200 Pro on third party app it gives too much noise, almost unusable to film that way, while on x100 ultra I can film on a tripod no problem. May be new Log in video can compete with it, will see
Worse build quality than ultra, downgraded main sensor with a lot worse performance in 1x and 2x on faces and defined textures, downgraded ultrawide with less field of view and distortion, no autofocus on selfie camera, worse close focus distance on tele for macro, a lot a lot noticable downgrade in speakers sound quality... yeah, who knows about range, no idea. Better to name what we can remove from it and not bring it even lower
Wow, such a detailed comparison, must’ve required so much effort but really appreciate it. Just one doubt does the regular x100 pro had the night video mode too, if so x200 pro might have it in future i guess…
Hello my friend. I feel like x200 Pro has night video mode built in now, slightly more balanced with better stabilisation. Normal video looks a lot better on Pro than on Ultra, to compete you need to turn on Night video on Ultra, but stabilisation goes becomes worse
The "night video mode" on x100ultra reduces the frame rate down to 24fps. That thing I dislike and disabled in the camera settings called "Auto low-light fps". Funny thing is even if u enable the "Auto low-light fps" toggle the x100u still gives u the "half moon" toggle. What's up with the 135mm portrait option on the x200pro, any good? Love the 100mm on the x100u and hope it eventually gets that 135mm option too Edit: A comparison between the native 6x/135mm portrait of oppo find x7ultra and x200pro 135mm sensor crop portrait would be very interesting. Like in good and low light conditiona with Oppo triggering the 3x and 6x would be ideal.
@@kitzblitz4859 I guess auto low light and Night Video mode is a completely different things. In night mode it only uses 1x and 2x, while in auto low light you are free to use everything. My guess that no need for night video mode on x200 Pro, because it is already baked in to normal mode with better stabilisation

I like the x200pro more overall. It does sometimes lose on photography but seems it's 50/50 and sometimes performs better. The only thing that bothers me about the x200 pro is the lens flare. Being an engineering hardware issue I dont think it can be fully fixed with software updates, and I'm staunchly against using any kind of accessory or my hand to prevent it from occuring.

I think day time x200 pro pics a bit too bright. I still like x100u more for portrait very actual camera looking with softer details and colors. But night time x200p absolutely better than x100u especially in video.
Also bro there is an update today for glare reduction through ai after you have taken shot on X200 Pro do show that how well it works in the next comparison video through a small clip...
35:00 X200 pro looks so much better when it comes to face detail. Looks like X200 pro losses in day photos but is stellar at night, processing is unmatched In all video test X200 pro was better except front camera in daylight
Because it is in the middle of the range in their line up? Ultra is more expensive. I bought 16 gb ram, 1.000 gb SSD for 900$, there are options with 12 gb and 256 gb ssd. This is not my mistakes that everything is so expensive nowadays
@@ranmasaotome9631 I see V and X lines as completely different for different targets and purposes. I am not a fan of calling stuff pro+++, ultra +++. For me it is still midrange phone in their line up. Nothing wrong about having different opinions.
Right now i have not noticed problems with notifications. But need to use phone more than 1-2 days. Right now i have no problems with Ultra, but of course there is no notifications on AOD, but i have smart watches for that.
So in 1x not major difference and also in some instance pro is better on 2x ultra better with more organic details on 85mm both more or less same and its also true for portraits and difference is 100mm portraits on ultra vs 135 portraits on pro and on selfie pro is better both in video and photos and on long range zoom pro slight edge due to some ai stuffs
Both are great but overall i would say x200 pro is better in photo and video mode. It's great that vivo did it as they mentioned it now video and photo are equal.
@@Getquora x200 pro on main sensor looks too artificial on faces for my taste, especially in low light. plus Humanistic Street Photography mode does not have HDR that makes it unusable right now. So for photography I will still use Ultra, and speakers are better as well as built quality, so Ultra still feels a whole tier ahead. But for average user I think Pro is better buy overall
@@AlienTechnologies33 A lot of reviewers are telling the different story but maybe you need to update x200 pro , because they said that at first it was not stable but after a few updates x200 pro got better, because they are sending new updates for x200 pro almost every week.
lease tell me... why is it possible to choose in slog3 iso less than native (800)?... I can choose iso 200 in slog3, but in zve10 it was impossible to choose less than 500... what will happen if I choose less than native iso?
Dynamic range will be shifted and potentially be affected, but really nothing to worry about. I am using just dynamic range optimizer instead of slog on zve-10, without any noise reduction in post, for youtube, especially watching on the phone screen it is good enough. But if you want maximum "potential" dynamic range, use native ISO.
@kinp86 No, less noise, but dynamic range will be affected, Log curve uses stops from the ISO encrease. The best thing is to try and set scene, place lamp on the background and play with exposure, see how it will affect noise and highlights. This is the best thing to do. Are we talking about camera or smartphone right now? Because on smartphones each sensor is unique and results may vary in third party apps.
@@AlienTechnologies33 yes, zve10ii is a shock for me, I didn’t know that you could go lower than the first native one... on the zv10 you couldn’t go lower than 500... on iphon, in my opinion, the minimum iso is 1000
@@kinp86 Yes, that's why FX line has this "cine ei", that locks ISO at base levels, to get maximum dynamic range, but increasing or lowering it slightly, won't affect your image that much. I suggest to try and use dynamic range optimiser function instead of log. Zve10 is a noise generator machine, it can help to reduce post production, but still gives nice image.
For 10x/20x zoom photos, a suggestion would be to put a human face as subject, because using objects or statues as image we don't know if the smartphone is creating thins or if it really is like that.
@@ViniciusFarias I thought about doing that, even tried to execute during "game of phones" video. On Vivo, especially if you lower sharpness during day, 10x people look natural, soft, but doable. Xiaomi 14 Ultra made some morphing of the face. But for some reason I placed it on the shelf. Will think about doing it.
@@AlienTechnologies33 thanks. I'm gonna try to do that (reduce sharpness on slider) because even with 10x my x100 ultra starts rebuilding/creating details on faces which make them terrible).
I can get the Chinese version for 400 dollars cheaper than the global verision. What would I be missing out if i go with the Chinese version? I think it's an important question that no reviewer is talking about. How bad is the Chinese software really?
@@0s0sXD no aod notifications, and for some apps you need to press a button to recieve notifications and work in the background as well as lock them, no android auto (which they want to add), may be in couple of menus like bluelm copilot or jovi assistant you will see Chinese language, this features are Chinese only. Other than that I literally cant find any difference over my old Galaxy s24 Ultra I use galaxy watch 4 classic for notifications no problem, all features work. All needed notifications work and I do not get annoying pop ups from other useless ones. Just research antenna bands in your area and inside device. For example ×100 ultra has all physical antenna bands needed to work globally in any country
@@StarNumbers I will test raw, moving subjects and more. On third party app x200 pro on video looks very noisy, x100 ultra I use for filming top down views with that app, and image looks clean
Wow this review is king man! btw those glares at 25:28 , 25:30 , 53:57 are they too annoying? I'm hesitant to buy this x200 because of excessive glares 🥲
Will see. Less size can give faster read out speed, but I do not see much benefits right now, will try snapshots, but raw still has no bursts and nothing above 1080p 240fps
It's more complicated than that...don't forget X200 Pro's aperture is wider (f/1.6 vs f/1.8, it's physic too) plus Lytia 818 is probably a dual layer sensor when Lytia 900 isn't. To compare sensors quality you have to switch to Pro mode, set the exact same both ISO and shutter speed and then compare...auto-mode can be improved by software.
@@gillest9432 in third party app on video, without noise reduction, wide and main sensors drown in noise even on a 100 iso. I will check on raw on next video. But I think 0.2 aperture won't make a big difference, but 30% sensor size can. That's why cameras with full frame can stomp on something like zve-10 in terms of image quality at rough scenarios. But I really wish they could improve readout speeds, so we get bursts on computational raw, 3-5 fps will be more than enough. But I guess competing with mirorless is not their priority (sensors manufacturers). Imagine quad 1 inch sensors, stacked, backside illuminated, for wide 14-16mm, main 35mm, tele-macro 85mm, tele-zoom 160mm, but guess right now it is impossible
@AlienTechnologies33 like you, my opinion is 15mm (1/2.76") + 23mm isn't the best choice...but I imagine something with only 3 cameras like a 15mm 1/1.4" + 45mm 1/1.3" + single tele 135mm 1/1.4" 200MP, all sensors with OIS (a total of 3 OIS like a quad cameras solution), I think X3 between all sensors is reasonable when you've got 50MP and good enough sensor's size...with the last one you can get nearly lossless in 270mm or even 540mm by sunny daylight. It seems Vivo X200 Pro with 3 cameras is better than Oppo Find X8 Pro with 4. The 85mm 1/1.4" seems to be amazing and outshines the 135mm 1/2.52" in long range shots. But I understand your choice of 35mm and 85mm, as those focals often get photograph's favor...I like 45mm or 50mm as perspective is close to what you see
The truth makes fooled people feel the butthurt. X200 Pro is a midrange since it has not a 1 inch sensor. Well, the term "downgraded flagship" is also ok.
Thank you for watching my friend 🛸 indeed, Ultra feels more premium device. Really want to see "Mothership" triple foldable with good cameras, to use as a tablet as well, when I do not want to take a bag for a laptop or tablet with me
X200 pro is flagship phone not a mid range .. lol its not the basic x200 bro its Pro . Same like s24 ultra because s24 doesn't come with any pro variants but the pricing is almost same as vivo pro
If we're talking about the pure aesthetics of night video, I give it to the X200 Pro hands down, sharpness, clarity of the image and, not to spoil anything, almost perfect stabilization. The photos are more similar between these 2 with certainly a little more possibilities in its camera app for the X100U. Bravo for this comparison. Greetings

@@AlienTechnologies33 what do u think.. u prefer x200 pro or x100 ultra? im searching ur conclusion and result at the end but nothing. so i asked here.
@zombiezom222 Hard to make conclusions after only 1 day of use. But. X100 Ultra is slightly better for photography, Street Photography mode has HDR, ultrawide is wider and more Fun, 1 inch gives more pleasing image.
But x200 pro is better for video, it loses less battery over day, and right now has slightly better features. But speakers are not that good, not bad, not great.

@AlienTechnologies33 In the near future, can you get your hands on the Honor M7 Pro?
@gt3gi0 I would like to, but I want to focus on some other tech aspects. Little bit of laptops, may be about gear for filming yourself and starting your own channel etc., philosophycal videos about technology and how it affects our life and future of it.
But of course smartphones takes a large place in the modern era and society, so I won't completely ignore it. But to tell the truth I want to highlight big steps, and do not want to be caught in a loop of endless smartphone reviews with 1-2% difference.
I want to make videos on more wide variety of topics, so I can get more attention of this channel and get it slightly more self-sufficient, right now I have to life support it from side 🌱
But it will be fun to see how smartphone market will turn out in 2-3 years and compare them with my previous videos, because we know strong and weak parts of all of them

Interesting video, good job! @@AlienTechnologies33 Yes the memory expansion feature. For some reason benchmark and storage speeds are significantly lower if you turn this option off.

Btw, that custom lut at around 29:30 is so great, Imagine if custom luts could be loaded onto phones and used as default, it’d be so amazing and make it 100 times easier to pick a phone because bad color-science out of the box would become fixable and not a problem as long as the detail captured was good enough. A unrealistic dream.
Hard to tell right now, but default camera app is on Vivo is so strong and game changing that it hard to beat.

@@AlienTechnologies33 and in slog3 there will be more noise at 200 iso or at native iso (800)?
@kinp86 No, less noise, but dynamic range will be affected, Log curve uses stops from the ISO encrease. The best thing is to try and set scene, place lamp on the background and play with exposure, see how it will affect noise and highlights. This is the best thing to do. Are we talking about camera or smartphone right now? Because on smartphones each sensor is unique and results may vary in third party apps.

yes, zve10ii is a shock for me, I didn’t know that you could go lower than the first native one... on the zv10 you couldn’t go lower than 500... on iphon, in my opinion, the minimum iso is 1000
@@kinp86 Yes, that's why FX line has this "cine ei", that locks ISO at base levels, to get maximum dynamic range, but increasing or lowering it slightly, won't affect your image that much. Still vivo x100 ultra is the best
And the worst the x200 ultra will not come with 1 inch sensor even, who told them that ai can beats physics
Will see. Less size can give faster read out speed, but I do not see much benefits right now, will try snapshots, but raw still has no bursts and nothing above 1080p 240fps
They are doing this because there's no compition for them unfortunately.
But I understand your choice of 35mm and 85mm, as those focals often get photograph's favor...I like 45mm or 50mm as perspective is close to what you see

seems to me that the Pro is better in video and Ultra is better in photo
@@wearefromserbia9714 new night video is baked in, and Log in auto is really handy. I love this. Now I need x300 Ultra Triple Fold

The truth makes fooled people feel the butthurt. X200 Pro is a midrange since it has not a 1 inch sensor. Well, the term "downgraded flagship" is also ok.
Thank you for watching my friend 🛸 indeed, Ultra feels more premium device. Really want to see "Mothership" triple foldable with good cameras, to use as a tablet as well, when I do not want to take a bag for a laptop or tablet with me
photo.. close call, sometimes x100 ulta sometimes x200 pro
video.. x200 pro
@@GP3- No HDR on street photography mode on Pro right now.
But video, definitely, Pro is strong, love Log, love stabe, love low light performance
@AlienTechnologies33 thanks for the detailed review! definitely a thumbs up!
excited for the future updates on the x200 pro
X200 pro is flagship phone not a mid range .. lol its not the basic x200 bro its Pro . Same like s24 ultra because s24 doesn't come with any pro variants but the pricing is almost same as vivo pro
It is literally in the MIDdle of the X line up. Do not see any reason why anyone can be triggered by 2 words 💫
@@AlienTechnologies33I agree. It is in the middle. The 200 ultra will come out and this will be confirmed. Just for now "Pro" New
If the vivo x200 pro is mid-range what the hell phone is top tier? 🤣🤣🤣
@@jayhealth5264 "Mothership" models 🛸🦾
midrange? =)) it will wipe in camera and battery even the s25u, what a joke , if x200 pro is a midrange then s24u is a entry phone

Absolutely nobody:
Samsung: SMARTPHONE OF THE FUTURE IS HERE
x200 Pro is built with x200 Ultra in mind. It is not Vivos fault that other companies sell recycled absolete hardware
I have a video about Samsung s24 Ultra, it is called "Buy ANYTHING Else", but beware, if you are a Samsung fan, you won't like it.
Greetings
@@christianf9844 Thank you my friend. X200 Pro on video is fire ❤️🔥 also I like that on LOG exposure is not jumping up and down like crazy, will make more videos soon
Not a midrange phone, it costs more than a S24 Ultra
@@BlackParade01 I bought Vivo 1tb ssd 16 gb ram for 900$ with delivery across the continent, I bought 256gb ssd 12 gb ram s24u for 1300$

@@BlackParade01 for example in the place where I stay right now, 16 pro max is 2500$
Of course I do not support modern prices. Everything is just too expensive and window of what is good and what is bad moved. But this is new reality, it is what it is...
@@AlienTechnologies33 2500 is a lot!
Here, Samsung does a lot of discounts so it's usually €700 for an Ultra where as the Vivo costs me €850.
Thats not midrange. Lol
@@robinmhelnelson147 prices will never be the same. We are in new reality
@@robinmhelnelson147 now we have budget, ultra budget, garbage, ultra garbage. Overton Window
X series ( Regular,Pro,Ultra) are the top of the line from Vivo, so of course X 200 pro is flagship, one of their flagships to be precise and the V series are the mid range
@@TubaVallopi for the same logic we can call iPhone 16, basic s24 a flagship
@@AlienTechnologies33 @AlienTechnologies33 Yup, and this is from Samsung Website : The high-end Samsung S series packs in pioneering technology, flawless design and easy-to-use functionality. Alongside the Galaxy Z series, it's considered to be Samsung's premium, flagship smartphone range.
So the Samsung s24 is one of their Flagship line 😁
Not a midrange dude.. It's a flagship phone
@@edgarfamoso9813 Basic, Pro, Ultra... I see it... in the middle? Even if we consider X a flagship lineup, Pro is still in the mid range of this flagship line up. But I feel V and X are seeking completely different targets and purposes.
By this logic I can call basic iPhone 16, Samsung s24 a flagship
If Vivos mid-range compete and crush other flagships, it is not my or Vivos problem 🪩✨
However I do not support new modern prices on everything
this youtuber logic is tr@$hs flagship that are categorized by manufacturer themselves but he insist its midrange
