Many thanks to you from Madrid for your videos and very, very informative information. I have been working professionally for almost 20 years in physiotherapy and massage techniques and learning/ re-forcing ideas and knowledge is a never ending journey! Kudos!
Hi I use deep friction massage for my patients for trigger point release it hurts also but pain goes and that hurting remains which is caused because of pressing it cures sciatica rotator cuff injuries etc what is your say ???
Hi John, I use your videos as a refresher from my Osteopathic training…but I have noticed you use way more patient-assisted movements which is awesome! We did more passive treatments for fascial work, but I love this idea and I’ve been incorporating it daily on every patient that requires fascial work. Much gratitude from Toronto, Canada! 🇨🇦☺️
Maybe you should have seen a different therapist then or you can even come to Oxford and see me as I can guarantee you wont be in pain for 3 weeks after treatment......
Thx Dr I appreciate your help. I'm from Algeria and I'm practicing this concept since 3 years now, and thank God I'm doing very well. ... I'm following you. Thxxxxx
Hi John, I’ve just become a rehab therapist in an organisation but I’m relatively not as experienced as others. We target to help patients with their functional wellness by using myofascial release at the trigger points. Do you have any videos of yours or any at all for a good starting point for me?
+John Gibbons visually is weak and un-creative, john. your own technique needs more of everything. i don't mean to be disrespectful but, i have unusual experience with soft tissue healing and what i see here is weak and archaic. do you really want to pass this video off as a way to help people? i hope not. with this video you are showing me you are not even in the rotator. it is deep and complicated. pushing on teres minor which you think is infraspinatus won't possibly change the rotator. STRETCH SERRATUS LAT, and then go to Pec Minor. loosen that then middle trap and levator trap. after all this body work, you will have your result. i hope you can follow this for your client's sake.
Have a look at the modified Thomas test as this can be used to assess the hip flexors and naturally the rectus femoris is part of the group. regaards JG
Hey John.I've problem in with the infraspinatus origin, exactly from tendon. It's very sensitive and painful .Can I ask You for a help whit my problem ? Transverse massage or active relase? I will be very grateful for your support Kindest regards.
thanks John, love your books by the way your met book is class, as is your kinesiology tapping book which I am tying to learn from ash. Ps what courses do you do and are any done in our beloved Wales
+Ash Curtis Thanks for the comments and most of my courses are in oxford - so not that far from Wales - if you want to organise a course then I will be happy to come to your venue.
Have you had many patients who uncontrollably shake/twitch while you do these exercises with them? I have read about why the shaking can happen, but I'm wondering how common it is because I don't have any friends or family members who have experienced this.
Hi..I live close to Phoenix AZ where can I find a therapist to work on my pectoral major and minor and a few other issues that I have I would greatly appreciate some guidance, thank you
curious, you haven't found the AC joint just rubbing infraspinatus but nut. the belly is in the middle and close to the cuff. you are actually in the Teres minor world john. question also, did you ever consider Serratus anterior or lattissimus Dorsi ? if they were released, there would be no teres minor or infraspinatus issues. epic flaw. the body works as a unit. your approach seems to work as a commercial for your hidden lack of talent. being on camera makes you fair game. prove me wrong john gibbons...... how do i fix ROTATOR CUFF Problems?
+Ronald Brandt Thanks for the message and this is only one technique of many that I have taught and demonstrated before we even get to this stage of treating the shoulder, the video is mainly to show the students on my course some of the techniques that are covered, I also show other techniques and yes the lats, pec minor etc are also covered.
This message is for “Ronald Brandt”. Regardless of how much talent you think you have with these techniques, the way you choose to impart your wisdom is far from healing. Why the aggressive message towards John? Furthermore, if you didn’t like the video you could have just moved on and enjoy your superiority somewhere else. When you treat people a positive and healing attitude is key! You’re working with people not putting IKEA furniture together.

Worth a try as might help the shoulder, regards JG
Hi john, what other treatment would you recommend for the rotator cuff?
I have a few videos on here for the treatment of the rotator cuff so have a look, regards JG
should soft tissue release not be done passively
+Ash Curtis It is my own technique so i demonstrate what works for me rather than using ideas by someone else. Hope you like the video. John

The rotator cuff muscles are not deep and are not that complicated.
John do these techniques cure by healing the rotator cuff injury.
I don't think I actually cure anything if honest but I am sure what I do helps my patients. Regards JG
John real class thanks for the answer and I wish I was your patient.
I wish I was the patient being treated by myself as well....
Sir is their any your assesment for tight quads ?? Or any your method by which we can isolate muscle tightness of quads ??
Have a look at the modified Thomas test as this can be used to assess the hip flexors and naturally the rectus femoris is part of the group. regaards JG
Can you come to HAWAII and give a lecture?
Kay
Would love to - there is another therapist in Hawaii that has asked as well, regards jG
Apply toward origin in acute or towards insertion in chronic ..is it okkk ?????
I naturally tend to work from insertion towards the origin, especially for these muscles. Regards JG

Either there are alot of women with shoulder injuries, or this guy likes to only demonstrate on chicks. Imo
Thanks for the message and hoped you liked the video and I do demonstrate on men as well if you watch my other videos, regards JG
