Drying the distillate with anydrous sodium sulfate and distilling it again is recommendable for a purer product. The link to the synthesis of benzoic acid is missing.
@@chemistryreacts yeah probably not. If his name were banker or lender or anything ending in stein then automatically Hebrew persuasion. Fisher though probably just a regular caucasian trying to catch dinner.
Another great organic synthesis Mr Vibzz
Can U do a video on how to improve yield in Fischer esterification eg using a Dean stark trap
I don't have a Dean stark apparatus. If I get one in future I'll definitely do the video

Thank you for that. I'll add it
At what temperature did you kept the reflux going?
Nice video nice yield. Does it smell similar to ethyl benzoate
I don't know the smell of ethyl benzoate. I'll make that and then compare
@@vibzzlab similar to methyl salicylate ?
It doesn't have that minti smell. It smells of some kind of perfume that I can't remember about
Is this named after famous chess grandmaster bobby Fischer?
Named after Emil Fischer the german chemist.
@@chemistryreacts was he of the Hebrew persuasion?
@@garrysekelli6776 I don't believe so.
