- Online payments just got a serious boost in Cliniko! 💥 You can now send and request online payments directly within Cliniko, which means no more back-and-forth emails or payment hassles. You’ll be able to share invoices and payment links through email, SMS, and even QR code.
These payments are seamlessly integrated into Cliniko and can be used for any services you offer. Whether you treat patients in person or remotely via telehealth, the new online payment features are designed to make life easier for both you and your patients.

We are looking into expanding the payment options available for online bookings🙌! While we don't have a specific release date yet, stay tuned for upcoming updates.
can we set up payment plans, this what I need. I do this on Stripe directly, but can we set this up in Ciniko now, or do we have to do this separately on Stripe?
Great question! At this time there isn't a way to set-up payment plans for online payments but we may implement this option in the future.
can we use discount codes for online bookings yet?
Not yet but we may add a discount code option in the future for online bookings and online payments.
Is stripe really 3.2% fee per transaction! That is more than three times what I pay for card transactions!
Stripe does indeed apply a transaction fee, but the total amount you'll pay varies depending on a few factors: your geographical location and the type of card used by the patient, be it domestic or international. If you get in touch with Stripe, they can provide a detailed breakdown of the 3.2% fee (as it's currently tailored to your specific business requirements and setup).
Where are you based? In the UK I believe it's 1.5% + 20p.
