  • Must we pay a lot of money to get a good ukulele, one that will sound great, play great and last years and years? In this video I show some of the cheap ukuleles I have purchased in the past few years and tell why I still have them in my collection while other more expensive ukuleles have come and gone.
If you want to hear the ukuleles I show in this video, please search them on my channel! 😊
Here's a link to the Polar Aurora tenor I purchased:

Can cheap ukuleles satisfy their owners? Yes!
It's my opinion that most inexpensive ukuleles come set up nicely, have very decent build quality, and sound very nicely if the person who has it in their hands can play! Most cheap ukuleles that are not plastic or carbon fiber will last years and years. There are some ukuleles that are obviously toys and a few others that don't do the job. I recommend the Irin walnut soprano, for example, but many of the other Irin ukuleles are NOT okay.

I tuned my 26 concert down a half octave it gives it a dreamlike sound. Tuning really is key for the sound your looking for.

Tuning, sometimes strings! Uke to Cavaquinho conversion (THIN metal strings) seems to be an alright sound for thinner sounding cost effective ukes.

Tuning is magic and there are many ways to do it. I have a note on my desktop to tune my ukulele down 1/2 step. I must have tried that and really liked it at some point.😊😊

As a beginner without a discriminating ear, I find each of my cheap ukes has a different voice. And I can't pick a favorite, I love each one as I play it. My biggest fear is that someday, when I blow $500 on a good one...I won't be able to tell the difference in quality.

Don't pull that trigger and you'll always love your inexpensive ukuleles, and not have the embarrassment of returning the $500 uke because it doesn't measure up!😊😊😊

I realise sound and tone are very subjective however I have yet to find a Soprano ukulele that I prefer the sound of to my Kmise Tiger Flame. RUclips channel "Anarchy in the ukulele" has done several blind tests of different priced Ukuleles and the results have been very interesting!! ATB with getting some payment for your channel 👋

I just posted Taps played on Kmise tiger flame concert. Yes, these are super value, high quality and nice design features. Sound great!

That would be nice of them considering 6,000 videos posted and years of 7 days a week labor.😊😊

Although your music is a labor of love, you may be working yourself too hard learning songs,
practising and recording RUclips videos with everything else you do & keeping such long hours with little sleep.
      Remember the movie "Amadeus"

I slept until 7:15 this morning, a record for 2023! I read an article that said work should be play, so really I play all day and night! Thanks for your concern. I will be careful to maintain attitude and health. @@phyllismorris94
