      I feel like the down time is not necessarily a bad thing, especially if you have a routine and can keep yourself mentally focused on whatever it is that you need to focus on. I'd much rather do that than a typical 9-5 gig, although there are always pros and cons.

    I think it would be nice if we describe the ITF Future tournaments as the second division of Pro Tennis (after ATP) and not "the lowest level of pro tennis".
    I played many itf tournaments and won a few ATP points and I can tell that is very competitve, some players of the ITF tournaments could easily compete in ATP tournaments as well. Lets go amazing video keep it up.

    The worst thing about tournaments is the amount of waiting around before matches. You could be scheduled for say 11am but then not get on until 2pm, 3pm, 4pm or even later!

    Great video! 9:32 If you "refuse to lose" a game, does that mean your mindset gives you the edge? Or are you actually better than the other person, and you just need to make sure the score reflects that as well?

    Amazing Video. One thing which I was looking forward to was post match recovery routine. Can you please tell us about how they recover after such a long match? Also what was being eaten/drunk pre match and during match?

    • @Winners-Only
      @Winners-Only  Год назад +2

      Not a lot of recovery options at this level. Karue did some stretching in the pool after the 3 hour match for about an hour, but other than there isn't a lot of options. The Hotel Gyms are terrible for recovery.
      As far as food goes, we were doing chicken or steak bowls with lots of veggies pre match, and drinking water pre match, and then he drinks water and LMNT electrolytes drink during the matches!

    @MyTennisHQ With all that down time, do you know if anybody at Futures level tries to hold down a somewhat "normal" remote job while competing? Or is there just not enough downtime to do that while training enough to be successful?

      Not guys who are actually in main draws. In tournament there is down time but it is difficult to have a job during training weeks. However, I have seen guys who mostly play qualies who work remote jobs hahah

    iam a semi pro hopefully pro this year or next year in Europe but football players ranked 500,000 th is the same as a tennis 400 player its not fair footballer ranked the same 400th are balling in cash u don't even know them but tennis needs more cash to distribute more in the sport
    so sad number 400th needs to eat cheap 400th in the world of nearly 8 billion humans is so elite they should earn at least similar to footballers

    Tennis I love soon pro in Bratislava Slovakia iam currently in Africa but soon eroupe for tennis but I would like this new generation to earn much more then old generation its supposed to be similar to footballers since its in the billions of views globally and I would like tennis to get richer in money as a sport and see footballers basketball players even other sports earn much more then tennis so sad since tennis is so hard and I don't think ATP and WTA need to distribute equally much but like wimboldon is a 70 million dollar event I would like it to be at least a 800 million dollars event like premier league in football etc we need more financing lets make even 2500th ranked tennis player earn similar to a 2500th footballer earn cause its so sad and unfair.
