My bro Poppy!! Really good to see that he kept it really close with Jannik... he's not far off that level, for sure. A bit more clean-up on some of those errors and he's right there. Super happy to see the Pop in good form, even if he fluffed that 5-3 lead in the second. Best of luck to both guys for the AO! And as a quick side note, it's SO GREAT to see Chris Stubbs doing the MC work here! He's a very natural presenter, I hope the AO keeps him on for many years to come.
I didn't know hardly anything about Popyrin before the match but I think he's really likable. Not a match for Jannik but he made a really good impression on me.
Absolutely no point banning such a nice honest guy, for such an unintentional injection of a banned substance, which was so insignificant that it no way could have enhanced his performance. He has been unbeatable the whole time since. Only reason so ban him is to ruin his momentum and career, as well as make is easier for Djokovic to win another Slam.
Players interview during match is disturbing and disability of momentum its also distract mind focus on game. This should not be allowed during the game. The only i can say with Jannik Sinner, he never drop any single set on his game no doubt as Ranking 1 in the planet..
Can you please put Exhibition Match in the title? It's so misleading, and when does the actual tournament start? Tennis Channel is only broadcasting the Adelaide tournament.
In my opinion watching this match, the factor that makes Sinner better is footwork. They kinda get to the ball at the same time, but Sinner’s stance is better. Popyrin gets to the ball quickly but his hitting looks rushed because his stance is not as ready as Sinner’s. Look how many points he lost by not getting in the proper stance at the net or at mid court. Both of these court locations are advantageous for Popyrin but he ends up losing the point. He also needs to lose some weight. His walking and moving is heavier than Sinner’s. Popyrin is 6’5” and Sinner is 6’4”.
@@billiey36 The weather is hot compared to last year, and I think that if Sinner faces someone Zverev or Alcaraz, who is at his best, he will lose. Our four major tournament matches are long matches, and he cannot tolerate the hot weather, which drains his energy.
It's not true anymore. In 2023 he got tired and cramped at the us open against zverev, which he lost. Last year in the uso semifinal, he faced the same situation but didn't show any signs of fatigue. He's improved dramatically physically.
@@CL2- Did you see the exhibition match today? His face became tired and red. If the match had been official today and he had played against Alexander Zhaferev, he would have lost. Review the match and analyze well. Currently, I see that Sinner’s most dangerous competitor is Zhafriev.

Sinner is a pace absorber and uses pace, like you said a closed-court counterpuncher, it’s a misconception that he’s some massive pace generator.
