Classic trap game for the Bucs - coming off the Sunday Night beatdown of the Dolphins that announced their arrival as a contender and heading into a showdown at Lambeau Field against the defending champion Packers the following week.
I had a Karl Williams #86 jersey and it got stolen from the laundry room at my old apartment complex and to make it worse, I kept seeing this nasty meth-head skank wearing it around the complex. I knew it was mine, I knew she stole it. But how would I prove that to the cops ? If one jersey of his was made, then two were made, etc... It was then that I realized that I needed to find a way to buy a house, even if it had a leaky roof and reeked of mold.
This was Ronde Barber's first action as a rookie and he did not have a good day. He got run around by Frank Sanders and Randall Hill and looked lost. He didn't see any additional action for the rest of the regular season until the playoff game at Green Bay. By the next year (1998), he finally "got" it and turned in the first of many great seasons on his way to the HOF.
We need more 90s and 2000s games
