I’m surprised he didn’t add “The Cat in the Hat.” My family and I absolutely hated that movie, and we always thought it was a huge insult to Dr. Seuss.
Roger must not have seen The Room. I'm guessing it wasnt made available to critics.
Very few people saw *The Room* when it first came out. It wasn’t till it was rediscovered years later that it became a cult classic.
It was mostly a California thing at first. He was in Chicago most of the time anyway
It's honestly not that bad considering all the crap I've seen
RIP Sean Connery.
How does such a great songwriter and legend like BOB DYLAN make such shitty movies whenever hes in them
Years later and people have really come around to the remake of TCM. It’s honestly one of the better horror remakes imo.
How the hell wasn’t *Gigli* on this list?
If you're able to track down Roger's review of it, you'll find that he actually didn't hate it. He didn't like the movie, and gave it a thumbs down, but he respected what the director was trying to do. He even said on his show something like, "Apparently I gave it the nicest negative review of any critic out there."
@@amwfan88it’s directed by Martin Brest known for Scent of a Woman, Meet Joe Black & Beverly Hills Cop
Basic, Boat Trip, The Life of David Gale and Texas Chainsaw Massacre are definitely the worst. Basic was the worst Travolta and Jackson collaboration
And to think, "Gigli" didn't make the list.
He gave "Gigli" a thumbs-down but spoke in his review about things he liked... such as Walken's weird cameo...
Same with Cat in the Hat
Dan Burke Roger Ebert actually gave Gigli 2.5 stars, which means he barely gave it a thumbs down. For reference, he gave Blue Velvet 1 star.
The Cat In the Hat: Hold my catnip.
Angel the Cinephile that one is definitely the worst! Alec Baldwin did better in The Cooler which came out a week after The Cat in the hat
Hold my catnip?? That was fucking stupid.
@@stefantomasi4036 The worst part, in that regard, was that Alec Baldwin‘s character was added for nothing more than a plot contrivance to shoehorn in an extra moral when it wasn’t needed.
Basic had Jules and Vincent, while Masked and Anonymous had The Dude and Walter.
And yet both movies gave them very little to do
@@littlekingtrashmouth9219Pulp Fiction and The Big Lebowski are devoted crime comedies
Such shame "League of" was Connery's last hurray.
The only two reasons to see LEAGUE OF: Peta Wilson.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was so bad it made Sean Connery retire lol!
Did bennifer pay him to keep Giigli off the list?
Leauge movie based on the comic, and alan moore hates it.
He ought to -- it was bad. Watchable, but bad.
0:17 It's one star on his site though? Also, if it's 0 stars, why is it #9?
@James Mitchell I never saw it but my parents had it on DVD. Though it's Rated R for constant profanity so I doubt they ever watched it.
I noticed that too. He gave it one star.
I can't remember most of these movies...Fortunately.
Thank god Daredevil wans’t on the list.
TCM remake is underrated
I like Basic, even though it's silly.
It was okay until the stupid ending.
@@davidjatt3251 Yup.
Where was The Room?
Roger Ebert was too hard on Texas chainsaw massacre. For what it was, it’s a pretty good film and a good remake.
It's repelling disgusting and stupid. The original was less gory for where I recommend it.
Nah he was spot on with his review
Gotta disagree with my boy on Texas Chainsaw. I saw that with a few of my basketball friends and the coach in 8th grade. It’s definitely isn’t art, but boy was it entertaining. And thats what it was meant to be, just that.
It's repelling disgusting and stupid. The original was less gory for where I recommend it.
lol ik one that missed TCITH which is a horror movie about a cat being a b* and ruining two kids days. But the end saved it. The end of the movie was EASILY the best part!
Texas Chainsaw Massacre wasn't too bad
It's repelling disgusting and stupid. The original was less gory for where I recommend it.
