Tender..each note filled with love. Timeless..classic John.
Leonard is a poet for the ages.
@Greg Normal yes a fan of both John and Leonard.
His folk songs are beautiful. He was such a soulful man. Miss him, much.
I loved John Denver so very much, I grew up on his music! Rest In Peace!!!!!?
Love, Love, Love this song. I was drawn to watching and loving this song because JD was singing it! I don't think John Denver has ever made a bad recording. I was equally impressed to be able to hear and be introduced by more of Leonard Cohen's music. It goes to the top of my John Denver playlists.
So happy you loved it as I do. Blessings
Such a great song - I've heard so many great covers of it - I think every folk artist has a level of respect for Leonard Cohen
🥀Beautiful Song Brilliant lyrics, vocals and music with meaning of unconditional love within🥀✌

Linda, this is an exquisite tribute to John. I’m in tears. This has touched my heart in the way only he could. I’m wanting to add this recording to my collection of John’s music. I’ve searched to no avail. Where can I obtain a copy of this recording?
Peace and Love to you.
I don’t think so but if you look up Cincinnati Dancing Pigs, there should be a place to see the playlists. It may tell you to email John Marlow for the ability to play them all and they will save on your computer that way. Good luck! And thank you Zack for listening and replying!!
A homage on Leonard Cohen.
gostei muito linda a música adorei
💖💔🙏
Linda, where did you get this from? Never knew that this existed. So many thanks.
It was on a playlist posted online. The Cincinnati Dancing Pigs I believe. It was several yrs ago. I stumbled on it. I played them on my laptop and they went into my library.
I've no doubt. 😊
Perhaps one should tribute this to the now departed Leonard Cohen.
Leonard Cohen ? So who can bring measure to his poetry set to music? ... I wish I could ... Kathys song cover Albert Croak on youtube .. finding my way home ... for the good times cover ... wake it up no 10 ? Freight train cover .. shake my tree and other videos with better to come when recovered?

@@andrerieumaastricht9811 Your Dad is loved by many .. he touched my heart with his songs and that connection will never be broken 💙
Been a fan of Henry since 1972. Had no idea he recorded this. I have it on a Neil Diamond CD. Stones, I think. Great song, great lyric.
thank you so much
We Who Dream
Linda Brown I just made another comment, having forgotten my comment of three years ago. Funny.
Where/when was this recorded?
The recording was on reel to reel and has been digitized. I believe this is from the Bandersnatch Coffee House recordings from 1968. John Marlowe was kind enough to send the link to the recordings. His website is Cincinattidancingpigs.com
💙💚💛💜
I can barley gear this
H
Professional as always but not his song. So who made him sing this song.
'And you may not trust him for his has touched with his perfect mind'
no Leonard Cohan song and I think he did it back in the late sixties or early seventies. I just loved it Thanks so much
No one made him. I love and miss you so much JOHN DENVER !!!!!!!!!!
No one 'made' him, silly thing to say. John, like many artists, performed others songs.
Can't put my finger on it ,but I've been a fan of John Denver for decades ,and this just doesn't quite sound like him 🙄Just the way a few words were sung etc Jury's still out on this one 🙄
Nonsense..this is John Denver. No jury would be divided on that.
Yep, relistend ☺Apologies all round ☺Definitely John ☺
When i first heard the recording ZAC (if it really is you )i didn't think it sounded like your Father •It is ,and it really is a beutiful song ☺
Shouldn't this be A Tribute to Gordon Lightfoot?
Why? It's a Leonard Cohen song, this version sung beautifully by John Denver.
