This is beautiful. I'm not familiar with the magicians, but relate so strongly to the words. Stories hold so much power for hope, especially the ones we spent so long loving through childhood, and especially when things are tough. Thanks for capturing that in song form and making that hope more tangible in a difficult time.
I haven’t really been into escapist fiction for a while, but I think everybody has some piece of media that they know they can always turn to when they feel lost, and for me, that’s your music. For years you’ve been my favorite musician and I’ve never gotten through one of your sets at a concert without sobbing because your music has been such a constant in my life for so long, I can’t imagine what my life would be like without it. I cried watching you perform this because I could see how much you connect to it and how much it means to you, and I hope it brings you some kind of joy to know that there are people who feel that same way about your songs. So thanks 💖💖💖💖

Oh, I loved this so much! And desperately needed right now. Real Life is a horror, with a never ending family health crisis. I was thinking just these last few days how reading & even shows have saved my sanity to get that escape for just a little while. Is this song available for purchase? (Other than iTunes, which never worked for me.) I can't afford a full album, but I'd buy this song!

@@LaurenFairwx Well it's really touching and emotive - it sort of finds a way into my memories that I'd forgotten about, bringing back that bittersweet feeling of getting to the last few pages of a book that you don't want to end. The physical feeling of the book changing its weight in your hands as the pages you've read and turned get heavier than the unread pages, and those getting light and lighter to the point you even try to read slower so you don't finish the book. Or at least that was my takeaway - hope its not a total misinterpretation. You've made something special about something special and I hope it helps a little to hear that.
