Already own and use all of this but the BM hog- haven't checked it out yet. The little Reins skirts I use on swim baits mostly- so far. The Frilled Shad is my favorite though- I love those things. They work great for me- and once the head is all torn up and destroyed from catching a few, they last pretty well but eventually anything tears up- cut it off past the bill and it makes a great trailer for the stealth blade chatter bait. The Dolive shrimps I own but, I have to confess I've never thrown them- I have so many creature baits I just haven't gotten around to them yet. In the southeast- where I'm located- creature baits are extremly popular and relatively cheap- so I own tons of them.
Huddleston grass minnow and shad as well as deps 115 and 145 are also for some reason not used that often, at least not that I’ve seen in Florida or Southern California… I feel they are pretty Under the radar and literally the hud shad and deps 115 are in my top 5 most productive baits
The ryugi double edge hooks work well on the deps frilled shad weightless an those maki sasu or worm 130 hooks from decoy are a great weighted hook for the frilled shads both work great.
On the frilled shad, and appropriate sized paddle tails, Picasso's weedless ball head with the wire weed guards is kick A. There jigs and heads with the wire weed guards is the best weed guard on the market for wood. It keeps the hook from catching as comes over or rolls on junk. Apart from the head itself catching or wedging, it's 100% weedless. The Decoy hook with the prop in the front, with the Decoy DS-12 slide weigths are also killer on a frilled shad. The 6" DoLive Shrimp is also a great choice for anywhere/way/time you'd throw a brush hog style bait. Is the Reins "add some dangly things to your bait" skirt quite a bit longer than the Yamamoto? Dude another Reins thingy nobody talks about is the 4 and 5" fat rockvibe as a swim jig trailer. As far as adding rocking action to a jig, it might be the best swimbait jig trailer.
In Switzerland literally everbody uses this DoLive Shrimps for european perch fishing, mostly the 2.5"-4" versions of it. At the first it worked like a charm, but now these baits are so overused, that a lot of perches are used to them and dont go for them anymore at well known places.
@@thehookuptackle_usa I think it would be perfect in a cold water situation . My thinking is that the action is so hardcore with a scrounger head having the blade in front of the ball , similar to a bladed jig . I don't think the action will be as rowdy with the Frilled Shad being that the blade is behind the ball . Like you said , more of a subtle action . Even more so on a screw lock weedless hook . I bet this rig would be killer in the winter . I'm here on the TVA "Tennessee River" and we throw flukes on scroungers up against bluff walls for deep resident fish and suspending fish . I bet this bait will slay in these highland reservoirs and on the bluffs in the winter right before they go deep . 👍👍👍
They're a bit more subtle but yeah, it's the same rolling side to side action. And once you catch a few on it and the head is all ripped up- cut them down past the bill and they make a great trailer for the stealth blade chatter bait.
Right after he said you can wacky rig it he followed with there is a lot of things you can do with a bottle shrimp !!!! It’s not a bottle shrimp it’s a osp dolive shrimp !!!! It’s already to many great dam brands to try and love, don’t go confusing me … I hate you guys for always introducing me to killer Jdm baits and advancing my fishing career and ruining my wallet … I love you guys 🔥🔥 see now I’m confused !!!
Yep- they work great jerked like a fluke. Or- instead of popping it with short pops on slack line- just give it a 2-3 foot pull and let it sink- repeat. Spotted bass eat them up.
It looks like you will just not be satisfied until you get all my money. Tell me at least that you are spending some it on weed and hookers, not just fishing and beer.
@@thehookuptackle_usa if you are going to keep taking MY money, I am afraid I am going to have to insist. The hookers could be cheap, but only high grade weed.

Great info Ben-San, Arigato! Your brother’s music is cool and hip 👏
Thank you Ed! 👊🍻
Great video, very good info.
Can't believe that you chose to highlight the Sakura instead of the Spro Tampon! 🤣

Good stuff Ben. I do like those DoLive Shrimp. Thanks for the video. ✌🏻🎣
Thank you for watching!
The reins skirt reminds me of those spiders we used to get as a kid that would stick to the wall and walk down it. 😂
Totally!
Oh so Deps made a Yamamoto magnum Cowboy 2.0. Looks dope!
Oh man that skirt would SMASH with a bellows craw on a ned rig!

That Bm hog looks like it would be a killer swing head bait.
My Goal: Get every color of the Megabass 110, 110+1, 110 junior, and 110+1 junior. 💰

Hey Ben , is the Frilled Shad's action kinda like a fluke style bait on a scrounger head ?
Yes, exactly!

Yeeeeeep!!!!
That music makes me feel I’m shopping with my wife at Macy’s
That BM HOG though...!
Sexy!!!
Does bait looks more like a scrounger bait then crankbait.
That frilled shad thing is kinda like a scrounger head

You guys are my RUclips sl*ts love you
That's the title I've always wanted! Yes!! 😂
Pile driver > Flashy swimmer all day long. This is especially true in grass. The Pile driver fishes so much cleaner in grass.
Great feedback! Thank you!
Nothing like a hookup tackle video after work and a belly full of beer. I’m weird! 👍
Belly full of beer for the win! 🍻
Have you tried using the frilled shad like a soft plastic jerkbait?
No, but I can see it working great like that!
Wonder how the BM hog looks on a swing head?
I bet it would be dope! Let me know if you try it!

Haha! Well, you're welcome I guess? :). Thank you for your business man!
did anybody else think about using the radial skirt as a punch skirt? lol
We need more Deps cover scat!!! 💩
Yes we do!!
Frilled Shad with salt would kill weedless and weightless like a fluke
It’s a super dope bait!

I’m going to need you to erase the the Bm hog part. That’s my little action Jackson trailer. It’s really good trailer on a….. phone died… lol
Haha! No ones going to listen anyway :). Cheers my friend!
@@thehookuptackle_usa cheers mate!
Not the reins, why would you spill the tea brooooo. Lol everyone gonna slam on the micro jigs
If they'll try them, they'll slam on them! Thanks for watching man.
I can’t afford all these new baits 🤣😂🤣
👊😜🍻
Heavy poop stick lol
Fish will eat shrimp, they will eat a gorilla or a 7.5in rat. Proof fish are stupid 🤣
Well when you put it like that…😜🍻
