      Circumcision is not a big deal. It helps prevent infections and diseases and problems that the foreskin causes. It's much easier for males to keep it clean when it is circumcised.
      Circumcision doesn't reduce sexual pleasure since men don't have that much sexual pleasure to begin with.

      @@cks7548 Every year, here in the United States, hundreds of babies lose part of the head of their penis, some lose bigger portions of their penis, & some even lose part or all of their scrotal sac & testicle(s). About 40,000 to 60,000 infant boys require neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) care each year in the United states because their penis was circumcised. The biggest reasons are bleeding from circumcision & infection from circumcision. In cases with bleeding, the docs will say something like, "Nothing to worry too much about. He lost a little blood during the circumcision, & in order to give him replacement blood, he had to be admitted to NICU. He should only need to be in NICU for a day or two."
      Depending on the facility, NICU coasts from about $12,000 to $48,000 per day, & often entails 1 on 1 care around the clock. Babies are only admitted to NICU when they are at serious risk of death. It only takes about an ounce or 2 blood loss for infants, who are just a few days old, to bleed to death. Penis circumcision is the most significant reason SIDS is higher among American male babies than it is among females & males whose penises were not circumcised. Infant penis circumcision is more than a "big deal." Infant penis circumcision is sinister predatory medical practice.

    This is a powerful video! I'm thankful I chose not to circumcize my son. His dad wanted to and practically begged me to have him circumcized. I absolutely refused. That's not my decision to make. It's my son's, when he's old enough to decide. All the points y'all made were legit. I'm not Jewish and it's weird that this country is one of the only ones that regularly circumsize when most countries don't.

      Circumcision reduces the risk of urinary tract infections, penile cancer, sexual transmission diseases, and other infections and diseases. And it completely removes the risk of phimosis (tight foreskin problems).
      My mother knew a man who wasn't circumcised, and he got penile cancer and died as a result.
      My sister-in-law works as a nurse, and she often has to deal with old men who aren't circumcised, and they have urinating problems as a result. A lot of times, the old men can't urinate as a result.
      My older sister also works at a hospital, and she told me a mother take her son in who had a severe urinary tract infection because he wasn't circumcised.

      @@cks7548 During medical clinical rotations, I was privy to lots of infant penis circumcision nightmares & would never recommend infant penis circumcision. All the baby boys turn blue with distress & pain for extended durations well after the procedure is completed, & hypoxic cyanosis is never safe for developing infant brain & nervous system, not even for a few minutes.
      Males have a greater risk of bilateral & unilateral testicular cancer & breast cancer than they do of penis cancer. Penis cancer is less prevalent in cultures that do not circumcise penises than in those that do, & these include Japan, all of Scandinavia, most of Europe, & much of South America. These populations also have less prevalence of sexually transmitted diseases than the United States, including HIV. In the United States, most cases of penis cancer occur in males with circumcised penises. Penis cancer occurs more commonly in heavy smokers & those who do not clean themselves for durations of months, whether or not their penis is circumcised, & males who get their penis circumcised after sexual maturation, & their circumcision is tightly stitched, in which case the cancer initiates at the circumcision stitch scars.
      Phimosis is a rare condition that seems to only be a significant problem in pro penis circumcision cultures, most notably the United States. In cultures where foreskin has not been stigmatized, phimosis is treated with cream & movement, or stretching & is not the inflated problem that American culture promotes.
      The strongest medical evidence is empirical data & information within & between populations & subpopulations. Published medical or scientific study reports are weak compared to empirical data & information because empirical data represents what is actually occurring in populations, while study reports are proposed conclusions & speculations bases on samples that may or may not be representative of populations.
      Males with intact penises endure far less urinary tract infections (UTIs) than female babies, & medical research studies that claim infant penis circumcision reduces UTIs are usually published by biased proponents, & often medical practitioners cause infections in intact baby penises because they attempt to retract the attached foreskin & iatrogenically induce injury & infection. Foreskin of infants & boys should never be attempted to retract because at these ages, foreskin is physically attached to the glans head all the way up to the urethral meatus the same way skin is attached to other body parts. Last, even the published studies show that it takes more than 2 hundred infant penis circumcisions to prevent 1 UTI that could be easily treated with antibiotic medication.

    I was not born in the US but moved here when I was 16 straight to High School, it was the worst time of my life. I am now 43 and uncircumcised my whole life. Circumcision is cultural choice (mainly in the US) because only about 40% of men are circumcised in this world. I did get some bullying and teasing in high school swimming locker rooms because mine looked different. But my parents educated me very well at an early age in this topic so I was able to answer everyone's questions with a calm and educated manner rather than being offended or taking the bullying. (parents, bullying for this does happen in American schools so prepare your kids from an early age)
    As far as functioning, uncircumcised functions the same as circumcised, better in most cases. When I was little and started experiencing the detachment of skin on its own, I talked to my parents and they explained to me how it slowly comes off and to keep it clean. By the age of 17, my skin detached completely, it was sore and bled for a little but nothing bad. It healed in about a week. I never had a problem with cleaning or infections. My son is also not circumcised and we all function normally.
    Also remember, no matter who you call as your God, we were not designed to chop off what was put in place. "Remember that you're perfect, God makes no mistakes" (Bon Jovi lyrics).

    Kudos to Nathan for speaking proudly and frankly about HIS BODY = HIS DECISION [and ridiculous "locker room talk" that RARELY occurs]. A circ’d penis is, by definition, “altered”… As an Intact someone who grew up in a large city during the 60’s and 70’s, as well as having played sports and served in the military, I can attest that penises were NOT the topic of discussion in the locker room [unless someone had "botched" circumcisions, horrible scars, penile skin-bridges/adhesions, curvatures, etc.], and NOT about those with foreskin (which is the true natural penis).
    Must look like the father?? Emigrant males, not being Jewish or Muslim, are mostly Intact. Emigrant males DO father babies in the U.S.; if the child is male, the mother is usually bullied into having her son circumcised based on propaganda and prejudices. The “Must look like the father...” response is actually/usually conveyed by the MOTHER; studies have shown that once circ’d fathers are given objective information about foreskin and circumcision, they tend to OPPOSE circumcision for their sons, nephews and friends’ sons going forward!
    Nearly half of males circ'd as infants or adolescents ARE expressing their objections in different ways; the remaining circ'd males just accede to using erectile assistive/maintenance devices and/or using pharmaceuticals such as Viagra/Cialis. The majority of circ’d guys “restoring” are in that predicament because someone unnecessarily altered their penis to begin with.
    In your lifetime, thousands of infant boys have not survived the procedure and hundreds of thousands of boys suffered botched circumcisions (40% of whom have committed suicide). Okay, so you want/ed to play roulette with your son's life and penis; however, you cannot guarantee that he will be happy with that decision which you did not allow him to consent to.

    www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-5998771/Circumcising-newborn-boys-increases-risk-cot-death-stress-procedure.html
    Next, even within circ'd families, there is little chance that one's penis IS going to resemble another's [due to the many varied circumcisers, their skill or lack thereof, the circ method used and the damages resulting from]. The common damages of circumcision (i.e., skin-bridges, horrible or misaligned circumcision scars [offsetting the Raphe], twisting/curving in any direction, early onset of E.D., etc.) have become "normalized" over the years -- and your son may resent you.
    Most late adolescent teens and men who undergo [circumcision at birth] develop a feeling of anger and shame and resentment in having that circumcision done. They often feel like they've lost their bodily autonomy and they are misunderstood very frequently by both society and medical professionals. Consider that HE might alienate YOU [and other pro-circ'ers] from HIS children (your grandchildren) in later years.

    I regret now that I had my son circumcised. At the time, I didn't give it too much thought and my wife and I never really had a conversation about it. It was just assumed, because I was circumcised, and mostly everyone we knew was circumcised, that our son would be also. I just wish I had the insight then in my 20's that I have now in my 50's. My son has never complained about it, but I hope if he has a son, he gives it more thought than me and his mother did.

      Male circumcision does have benefits. Male circumcision reduces the risk of urinary tract infections, penile cancer, sexual transmission diseases, and other infections and diseases. • @fritnat
    @fritnat 2 года назад +15

    The risk of being permanently disfigured is pretty much 100%, this is not female circumcision!
    If a ftaher wants his son to look like him then he should alter his own body to look like his son. A cut man could resort to 4skin restoration, a father with a son with a big mothers mark get a tatoo etc. There is actually a case of the latter. Do mother's who have a scar after an episiotomy want their daughters to be cut to look like them?
    It is not a twosided issue where one side is as good as the other and arguments can be mirrored, no harmful cultural practice is. So no, boys who are cut, are not made fun of in the locker room since this is a feature of cutting cultures where the bodyshaming of the normal body is a means to enforce the social norm. The absence of a harmful cultural practice is not a social norm to be enforced, but simply for what it is and having part of your body amputated is not something to be made fun of.

    • @emmas4336
      @emmas4336 2 года назад +7

      It seems crazy to permanently alter a child based on the possible scenario the son asks why his penis doesn't look like his dad's. How often does this come up and couldn't you have a 2 minute conversation explaining why? I had a childhood friend who married a man who had part of his arm amputated. Would you remove the same part of a child's arm so they would 'look like dad'?

    • @fritnat
      @fritnat 2 года назад +3

      @@emmas4336 Not just crazy but barbaric.
      Imagine in the very distant past when we were all Africans, two neighbouring tribes, one in the north and one in the south, who had fought off and on for generations over som strategic spiritual ground in the east. The northern tribe used a symbolic sideways outstretched left arm pointing in the direction of the ground whenever they encountered members of the southern tribe. After each periodic battle and peace treaty, irrespective of whether it had led to an exchange of control of the disputed ground, the tribes exchanged each others' captive warriors. One of the southern warriors experienced an unusual wound where a small part of his arm had been lost which meant he couldn't fully stretch his arm out sideways but otherwise was fully functional. A generation passed and there was a new battle over the disputed ground concluided with a new treaty. This time the southern chief got the idea that before making the time old exchange of captives he would have all the captives subjected to this unusual injury on their left arm so that they would be unable to make their arm gesture.
      The returning northern warriors felt hugely humiliated by this and together with their chief decided this required a change in their traditions. The returning warriors told how they had been incredibly brave bearing the ill treatment meted out to them at the hands of their enemy and showed the scar in their arm as proof. The scar became a badge of distinction showing one was a real warrior and young warrior initiatives were eager to demonstrate the same bravery as their fathers, to be like them. So the infliction of this injury became part of the initiation rites for new warriors. The symbolic outstretched arm gesticulation was abandoned in favour of pointing at the scar in a show of defiance.
      So yes, it is possible to imagine a situation where parents remove a part of a child's arm so they would 'look like dad'. In most of the modern world though we have come to value all the normal bodyparts of a natural body and Dads with amputations would prefer that they have a prosthesis if necessary to look like their normal son.

    USA is the only country where a majority oare routinely circumcised when they are newborns. Most (but not all) Israelis are circumcised, but for religious reasons. Circumcision is the norm in South Korea, but the procedure is carried out when a boy is between his 10th and 16th birthdays.
    Many times I was the only guy in the locker room/showers with foreskin. I was never ridiculed, because by age 9-10, I discovered that retraction made my penis look circumcised. My foreskin is the reason why I surrendered my virginity almost 20 years after graduating from high school.

      Baby boys who are not circumcised face a 10-fold higher risk for urinary tract infection (UTI) in their first year than boys who are circumcised and a 23% increased risk of UTI through their lifetimes. The findings are from a meta-analysis of 22 studies that examined the single risk factor of lack of circumcision for occurrence of UTI.
      Researchers determined the prevalence and relative risk of UTI for boys aged younger than 1 year, 1 to 16 years, and older than 16 years and from this data calculated lifetime prevalence.
      They found the likelihood of UTI between birth and 1 year to be 9.91 times higher in uncircumcised boys compared with those who were circumcised; 6.56 higher for uncircumcised boys aged 1 to 16 years; and 3.41 higher for uncircumcised boys aged 16 and older compared with circumcised men.
      Urinary tract infections include infections of the kidneys, bladder, ureter, and urethra and are more common in the first year of life. Adverse effects can include kidney scarring, fever, pain, and septicemia.
      The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has stated that circumcision can reduce the risks for UTI, HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, and penile cancer, and that the health benefits outweigh the risk of complications from the procedure. However, AAP leaves the decision whether to circumcise up to the parents of the child.

The estimnated risk of a US male neonate dying of a UTI in the fist week of life is almost 50 times what it is here in Denmark. The purported health benefits are all myths perpetuated by cutting communities. PS it doesn't cure epilepsy either.

A barber or hajjam was called to do it which is very common in rural India and it is celebrated like a ritual with friends and family.i was sitting on a stool surrounded by people and my legs wide open. Few were even holding my legs tightly and one covered my eyes I could feel the barber pulling my foreskin and checking the glans , he clamped the excess skin with something and chopped it with a blade. Everybody clapped and congratulated me as I was finally ready for marriage.

      Circumcision destroy sex pleasure and sensitivity because foreskin has thousand of nerve tissue. If you are already circumcised you can regrow or restore your foreskin manually or foreskin restoration device. Clean pnis during bath, after urination and sex to prevent the risk of any problem. Use condoms to protect HIV and STD. Phimosis is not a disease to worry about unless there is any irritation, infection of the foreskin. Any irritation, infection, urinary tract infection is solve by medicine. Many people live with phimosis and enjoy sex life. Paraphimosis may go away on its own or solve by gently pressure the swelling foreskin and pulling it forward. Doctor may suggest circumcision because of their bloody money business. But do not circumcision. Clean pnis during bath, after urination and sex to prevent the risk of any problem.

      First of all, the "health benefits" have virtually been disproven.
      Cleanliness is only an issue if you don't bathe (which it seems like most cut guys don't bathe properly).
      If circumcision was so great, it wouldn't need to be forced onto infants.
      The vast majority of intact men don't get cut.
      Also, over 100 baby boys die every year from circumcision. And presumably even more have botched circumcisions.
      There's a reason more and more people are deciding not to force a cosmetic surgery onto infants.
