Love your mixture of French and English😊
As a Paris and dog lover i enjoy your videos and look forward for the next. Meimei is the most adorable and best behaved dog in the world!
Merci 😊 she is the sweetest, sensitive and most fun to be around with!
I really enjoy the format of this video: a walk around a neighborhood and then a long sit-down meal. Please do more of these. Thank you!
I lived at 25 rue de la Roquette in the seventies. I love watching this video! Merci mille fois.
Love your videos, for us it's a brief escape to relive our previous trips to Paris. Including French and English means that I, being French, and my wife, being English speaking, can both enjoy your videos. Well done!
gabrielle, you are so brave to be filming in a busy restaurant with people looking on! thank for this video - i'll put Bofinger at the top of the list for my next trip
Thank you! I love, love, the mix of french and english.
Pavlova is an Australian dessert named after the dancer Anna Pavlova😊
Bofinger ! a personal favourite among many in Paris … took my mom there on her first Europe trip circa 1980’s
Love you have your dog along ! your approach is one of the best I’ve seen with history and language
Bravo !
Wow amazing! Does it look similar to now? Merci beaucoup ! 😄
I love French deserts, thank you Gabrielle for charing your walks with us.❤🎉🥰🇵🇷
J'adore les desserts !! I love desserts too 🥰
Love your videos and love sweet Meimei!🥰🥰🥰
My father worked at Bofinger back in the day!
Wow, amazing! I love hearing stories such as these, how did he find it?
I love your videos, especially to see your cute dog....she's adorable. You often ask if we would like to see a video about .............(filll in the blank). I say make a video about whatever interests you, all the neighborhoods, the history (both ancient and modern), art (old & new), architecture....I'm all for it. Keep going, I hope this channel builds.
Yesss I’d love a video about Canal Saint Martin, I’ve been wanting to know more about this area for when I visit in April 🤗
The meal looked amazing. I hope they sent you home with the leftovers. lol
We finished everything with two people! Délicieux !! 🥰
Bofinger looks awesome!! I will try it next time when Im in Bastille!
Delicious. Thank you for sharing, Gabrielle. Mei Mei looked super cute .
I have added it to my list! I prefer my oysters with citron. Also, I ptefer the choucroute with mustard on the side to cut thru the richness. The food looked excellent.
Brasserie is beautiful. Delicious...menu.
Oysters with chilli tobasco and black pepper! Try it.
Alsace wine would have been a super accompaniment.
This was awesome!
I believe you will move to Paris this year! 🎉 The universe will fulfill your wish. 🍷Merci .
MERCI BEAUCOUP!!!!!
LOVELY AS ALWAYS!!!!!
PLEASE SHOW US ALL OF THE BEAUTIFUL PLACES THERE!!!!
MAY ALL OF YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE!!!!!
❤ TO YOU, AND LOTS OF PETS TO MEI MEI!!!!
A wonderful virtual trip in a lovely city.
Bofinger is one of my favorites. I hope to visit again when back in Paris in May!
Love the history lessons and Mei Mei of course. Your meal at Bofinger looks amazing, those deserts yum.
We adore your cute authenticity and polish tastes
I've grown to love the Mignonette sauce (Vinegar and shallots) with oysters, but I often have some plain, with lemon, and mignonette for variety.
Same here. Would it be rude if I asked for Tobasco sauce on my oyster?
I truly hope a lotta people subscribe. YOU NEVER DISAPPOINT, Gabrielle! Always fresh new content. Yet another destination added to my list. I absolutely love it. Bofinger, tres magnifique! Totally my vibe 💝💝💝 haha great minds think alike I commented magnificent before the end of the video, then you said it. haha I love it 🤗💝
Thank you, merci ! It means a lot as I have been here consistenly for over 8 months and its been difficult to grow this channel. Merci beaucoup !! 🥰
This was absolutely delightful! I haven't explored the Bastille area before, so I really enjoyed 'virtually' walking around with you. Did you say you were invited to Brasserie Bofinger? Lucky lady! Wow! What a meal. All the Alsacienne classics looked delicious. Les plats looked really big too. I am like you and enjoy desserts very much. I hope you had some company (aside from Mei Mei - sp?) to share the food with. I look forward to your next neighborhood video. Merci, Elle!
Love your expressions of Paris and its ambience and romance . Its a dream when i watch your love for Paris , your very special ! Thank you for the vision !
❤️🇫🇷Fabulous! Visiting in April will definitely go to Bofinger.❤️
I went there last September :) it was right near my hotel.
Love your channel! Without a doubt! The best channel about Paris on RUclips!
We always stay at Hôtel Bastille Speria right next door to Bofinger. Small, elegant hotel with friendly staff and a block from the M1 station entrance.
Et saviez-vous que si vous visitez Mount Vernon, en Virginie - la maison de George Washington aux États-Unis - il y a une clé de la Bastille, qui lui a été donnée par Lafayette ! Salutations des États-Unis !
Hi Gabrielle, I've just found your videos. I love Paris and cannot get there as much as I'd like at the moment so it's a treat to be able to follow you. The Brasserie Bofinger looks incredible, I've visited the Brasserie Lipp on several occasions but not Bofinger ... the portions of food looked generous and the interior fittings very fin de siècle. I am sure someone has helped you with Tilleul in many of the comments below but it's made from the leaves of the Linden or lime tree and is good for the digestion among other things.
Keep up the great work - your videos are beautiful and informative. Hugs to you and Mei Mei 😊
Elle, I have been watching your videos and really enjoy them! I am planning on moving to Paris, France within the next 2 years. I hope this doesn’t seem like an odd request, but I would love to see how you put on your cat eye make-up! Tell me the brand of the black eyeliner you use and do a short tutorial! I can never do it correctly! Wendy from Tucson, Arizona
Bonjour ! Amazing for your move to Paris. For makeup, I am no beauty expert or specialist! I just use mascara and eyeliner haha. Perhaps I will include a makeup routine in a vlog someday! 😊
Tilleul is the Linden tree which blooms in June/July in Quebec. It’s flower smells divine 😍
Amazing, I LOVE FLORAL TEA, j'adore ! I went to Canada for the first time last summer! I'd love to go back to Quebec.
@ I will be visiting Paris this May. It will be my first trip to Europe. As a 57 year old female solo traveler, your videos have been great. My plan is to “get lost in Paris” as you said. I’m very excited.
Hi Gabrielle! I love your videos and baby mei mei! I would love to hear more about your life in Thailand growing up and how you kept your French so perfect!
love the history and brasserie and of course, Mei Mei! 🐶
❤ that your videos are both English and French! Your dog is so cute. Did you grow up speaking English & French?
Bonjour ! Yes I grew up bilingual 😊
First! The meal at 19:35 reminds me a lot of Kassler which is a german dish that is pork and usually served with sauerkraut and potatoes!
Je préfère les huîtres natures- sans citron, sans vinaigre!
Thank you for the awesome video. Wouldn’t mind seeing the suburbs of Paris and compare to suburbs of America.
Wow...thx for such an entertaining video....will visit the Brasserie Bofinger for sure....hugs from New York
Amazing vid. With all my heart i hope my beloved mei mei got to taste some of bonfinger sausages because i remember you said she loves sausages ❤❤❤❤
She loves saucisson which is like salami, not this time! haha
Thanks For doing these fun relaxing interesting videos of Paris, educational tidbits. We’re going to Paris in April
Merci beaucoup for the review of Brasserie Bofinger; the interior looks amazing and it's obvious the food is wonderful. I enjoy your channel and I am a recent subscriber. Keep up the excellent work!
Great video!! Do you have an assistant helping you to film? We love this format of education and a sit down meal. Would love to see more about the 3rd and 4th arr. possibly. Merci!!
Very pleasant to watch, hope you keep up the great work!
Merci, Gabrielle. I enjoy your videos very much & your winter walks with sweet, good MeiMei. For my memories of a long ago year in Paris as an étudiante. I would love you & Petite MM to visit La Sorbonne & the neighborhood of the "Boule Miche" & the Cluny Museum. Merci mille fois.
So enjoyable! Thank you 🙏🏾
Great history. Merci.
Thank you for the lovely video! You are a delight to watch. I found your channel via French Guy Theo’s channel and so glad I did. Are you ever intimidated to dine alone? Is Paris a single diner friendly city? Thank you 😊 edit: I didn’t realize you had a dining partner in this video until the dessert so my apologies…but still would love to know if it’s possible to visit as a single diner 😊
Hi, bonjour ! Most of the time I do the walks and cafes alone, but for restaurants I invite a friend 😊
@@FrenchWithEllegood to know thank you 😊.
So well done and interesting!
Ciao.
Great video! Very charming and educative.
I enjoy your channel so much!!!
i stayed the 10th last year and I too loved the Canal Area .... more info would be great on that area
Thanks
NICE! Pac two please. . .
Bonjour, very wonderful content keep them coming!...
Great video. Love re- learning my french by listening to you. I would like to see the canal area.
The vinegar & shallot condiment with the oysters is actually called “mignonette”😊
I would love to see more spots where movies were shot. Come “Le fabuleux destin d’Amelie Paulin”, par example 🙂
Love your content Elle!
Like me, the fork in the right hand.😄
Been there a long time ago for Choucroute. I could not finish the dish.
We finished it with 2 people, it was delicious !
Merci for your beautiful videos and the way you weave education into your friendly style. You make me want to visit Paris more now than ever! I believe you were asking what the tea plant is... in English? It is Camellia Sinensis. (kum EEL ya sin EN sis) I hope this helps! You are delightful - thank you so much! Warm wishes from San Diego, California!
From the USA. Pavlova was made on Paris or Moscow for the Russian ballerina whose name was Pavlova.
Great video as always, we are very close to Bofinger and have had some great meals there, it's historic, beautiful, AND the food is always spot on (unlike some other very historic cafes). Any cafes or bars you recommend in the 11th Elle?
Bofinger-I ate there with a friend a few years ago. Lovely experience. You really do need to dress up a bit. It’s pricey so be prepared for possible sticker shock.
I don't think I was particularly dressed up, a sweater and pants. Also yes this is a unique Paris experience and you do not necessarily need to order as much as we both did 🙂
Pavlova is named after the famous Russian Ballerina Anna Pavlova. Nice video ,Merci
How much would it cost overall?? Most important for a tourist to know ❤
You can check out their menu on the link in the description
Au citron comme vous!
Tilleul- linden
In America the upper classes live in the suburbs 😊🙃😇🇺🇸🇺🇸😎Kailua HAWAII 🇺🇸🏄🏼♂️🏄🏼♂️⛱️🌈🚢🏄♀️🏄♀️🏄♀️
Pas toujours
Manhattan par exemple
👍😎
Tilleul veut dire “herbal tea” je crois
So cognac is high quality brandy. That means, all cognacs are brandys but not all brandys are cognacs, and low quality brandy is just brandy?
I am honestly not a brandy expert! I'm assuming it needs to come from the Cognac region in France not just anywhere as well as following strict production rules
Just out of curiosity, your profile says you are half Asian but you look more French, so your dad must be French, and what is your Asian nationality side? Apologies if this is too personal to answer.
Hi ! My Papa is from France (Lyon) and my mom is from southeast Asia. I grew up in Thailand and have lived in Shanghai, China previously. A bit confusing for some 😀
So, how many people did it take to finish the dishes? Hehe!
We were there the whole afternoon and we finished it with 2 people 😊
@ Wow! Good job! 👏🏾
How do you stay so slim?
Huîtres-ketchup. Il n’y a rien de mieux.
With horseradish
Je connais pas, I haven't tried this yet!
