Bro, i have heard EGR blanking/blocking may not be a good thing. Temperature rise may become an issue is what I have heard. I would like to try blanking this, would you suggest i attempt it. Since you have done it a while ago, what has been your experience and any additional suggestions based on your lastest experience. As always, people like you inspire people like me to take up DIY jobs, and it's a satisfying feeling to do the work ourselves. Thank you.
Done it long time ago and later replaced the aluminium sheet with a much thicker metal plate , and drove like that for years , never had any issues , but some of the viewers said that when they did that , a MIL light popped up , so i guess you have to try it to see if the MIL pops up .
Mere gari mein p0245, p0489, p0113, p2015 and p1216 aa raha hai. Gari start nahi ho raha hai acche se. Band ho ja raha hai aur rpm 0-1000 mein fluctuate kar raha hai. Yeh kiske liye ho sakta hai? Main abhi apna egr aur intake manifold clean karwa raha hoon. Maf sensor ka error nahi aa raha hai. P2015 intake manifold ke liye hai. Kiske karan ho sakta hai yeh sir?
Sir mera safari dicor 1500-2000rpm dheere dheere jata hai. Lekin ek bar turbo kick in hone ke baad pickup bohot aata hai. Yeh sabse jyada speed breaker cross karne ke samay notice hota hai. Yeh normal hai kya?
Always had issues with grande dicor pickup. And the issue was indeed with MAF sensor. Funny thing is no tata mechanic ,not even the smartest one could figure it out why untill I wrote in one of the international mechanic group on fb.
The other possibility for poor low end pick up is chocked crank case ventilation valve breather. I am not sure where is it on a Dicor engine, but i've cleaned many VW, Ford and Peugeot Family engines and solved the problem. By the way blanking EGR will fail emission, suggesting this on media will put you in trouble...
Yes sir , there is a chance that your vehicle will not clear pollution control tests after , doing a blanking on egr , And ccv on Dicor is connected to a oil mist seperator on the top front side of engine just above the radiator fans
Bro I removed the accelerator pedal in safari dicor 2012 and refixed. Now car is not cranking from the key and instrument panel shows no light. Do I have to reset anything ? BTW, car starts if I direct from the starter relay port
Hi. I have a Safari Dicor GX 2009 Nov model which, when parked on small inclinations for 2 or more days, will need the fuel supply balloon to be pressed till pressure built-up for engine to start. Also on flat surfaces of left for a week or more without using and when I start the idling is fluctuating and sometimes engine shuts down, I need to keep the idling at 1000 rpm for a minute or so and the vehicle behaves okay. After staring when driving on small inclinations in road it just loses power and then pickups immediately, it happens only once. Please advice is this related to fuel pump or a leak somewhere in the fuel line. The service centre guy without checking the pressure told me that the pump needs to be changed.
Did you found solution for this issue? Even i am facing same issue from past year and not able to diagnose it. Please suggest solution if you found it.
@@srajesh1384 I took it to tata service centre and they were saying lots of other stories and I ended up taking the car back. I will be taking the car to a local mechanic once I go back to home.
Bro, the thing I have been fearing about happened. I was getting my wheels aligned. The mechanic took the car for a test drive and all electricals (dashboard,etc) STOPPED when in motion. Why could this happen? It'll be scary to deal with this when going 80-100kmph on the highway
Sir check the voltage coming from the alternator on 3k revs , sometimes if alternator starts to throw out more voltage , these issues arise , and also check the reading of continuity with a multimeter, it should be as close to Zero .
I got a check engine light after driving my Safari through some bad roads.OBD2 scanner says- powertrain error. I received the same error last month, but it fixed on it's own. Any idea what's the issue here? Read somewhere it means timing belt replacement
Sir in safari , sometimes false error happens , and they get clear by themself , i thinks its maybe due to a flat spot in the reading of a sensor or and unexpected reading from a sensor to ECU A common issue , nothing to do with timing belt .

Now there exists a new problem. Vehicle doesn't have the pickup which i had earlier and there is a knocking sound whenever I accelerate. Plz suggest

Then most probably its your cam or crank sensor , which is sending a wrong input signal at a specific rpm . And check the vaccume to the turbo as well , as the jerking problem is within the turbo spooling range .
White smoke means engine running dry due to lack of lubrication or it can be incorrect air fuel mix , Change the engine oil to a better like magnatec suv and run a diesel system cleaner along the diesel in tank . Liqui moly is good brand It will help .
Till 2000rpm there is a significant amount of turbo lag in most of the diesel vehicles after reaching that 2000 rpm the engine kind of wakes up . If thats the situation its not a problem its a characterstic of diesel engine.
before it was fine once the service was done only after that it started . Even in slow speed it was like to press full exlater . My be is it a sensor or air filter. The problem came only after 2 days when service was done . Thanks for your reply please help

Hi, Yesterday unfortunately I got fuel tank out of fuel after that I refill the fuel but in between long run I get sudden lag in my skoda rapid 1.6tdi. today while traveling I got little lag and after that glow plug light turned on!! But after restarting the car everything went well. What can be the issue? I read it on forum that I need to change the fuel filter? Currently I am 700 kms away from my hometown and need to go back day after tomorrow. What shall I do?
Sir ideally , whenever it happens with a diesel engine , the risk is quite high , due to lack of lubrication from the diesel fuel the high-pressure fuel pump runs without the fuel and in-turn there are chances that the delivery valve inside the fuel pump can get scratched , and it will effect the fuel pressure in future ! Ideally if we know that the fuel is empty , we should never try to start a diesel engine . We should pour fuel and then turn the ignition on and off for atleast 7-8 times to flush the air out of the system before starting the engine . How many times you tried sir after it shut down ?

I am recently facing some problem with my safari 2.2...throttle is not responding while climbing hills...after driving 30 to 40 kms in hill station power is reducing and finally the accelerator stops working..if I stop the vehicle and keep the vehicle in parking around 5 to 6 hours everything will be ok. Normal highways and city drive its perfect.
Then it must be , either turbo vaccume boost sensor or manifold pressure sensor , which is giving out wrong readings whenever you are on hills, because on hills as the altitude increases atmospheric pressure decreases . Do you also faced any sort of warning light on the instrument cluster ??

Dragging towards right side can be a couple of problems 1. Low air pressure in that tyre which is creating more rolling resistance due to which car is going in one direction 2. alignment is not properly done or need to be aligned 3. Control arm busher are getting worned and now have play in them 4. Control arms are bent due to a impact or minor accident which also results in draging towards to a side 5. Brake calliper binding one of the brake calliper is stuck or bind to the brake rotor creating a false braking force and resulting in draging to a side . Occasional drop of pick-up can be due to 1. dirty maf sensor ( i have a video on my channel about maf you can see that for more clarity) 2. A foul or dirty injector ( can use a diesel system cleaner to use along with diesel in tank to clean)

Tecnically 125 in 5th gear is somewhere around 2700 rpm and after that engine starts to run out of juice .so sir thats not a problem Major power lies between 1800-2800 rpm and then it starts to drop

भाई diagnose करा ली है, गाड़ी। उसमे error मे boost pressure signal low error, confirmed आ रही है।। गाड़ी 15-20 मिनट शुरुआत मे बहुत अच्छी चलती है २०-२5 किलोमीटर, उसके बाद पिकअप डाऊन हो, जाता है। और 60-70 की स्पीड से ऊपर नहीं बढती।

Bhai i have 3 ltr safari , run only 80,000 km .but now some missing issues, no pickup troubles but the car doesn't run slowly in 2nd or 3rd or 4th gear.so much of missing. You know missing, i will give you example😂 : the car going 20 km/h then shift to 4th.that time you will get hanging, and stuck, that kind of missing.Whats the problem? Sir thats not missing You are stalling the engine Safari's gear ratio won't allow that you cant drive properly in 4th if you are less tha 40 And you are trying it on 20😅😅😅 1st is very low ratio 2nd goes till 15 3rd will give you enough juice till 40 4th can be hold till 80 and then 5th can carry the pace from there ( Keeping driving comfort and economy in mind ) Other factors also play role Like Engine load ,engine temp. , Tyre pressure

Sir i know about gear shifting ratios, i can't drive 20 km/h in 4th gear😂, now 60/h in 4th gear acceleration cancelled then the missing started.same as every gear 2nd and 3rd
sir if service center is so keen on getting injectors cleaned then you can use a decent injector cleaner like a liqui moly diesel injector cleaner but first change your fuel filter, sometimes it can chock and restricts the fuel flow

@@yourDIYneeds bhai tried. Engine was overhauled, after that there was p0236 error code. Tried new vaccum modulator but problem didn't resolve. Check engine light was cleared, after that no light but pickup very low after 50 to 60kms. Basically, after heat up the engine response is too low.
After 50-60 kms , that seems like a issue with engine heat management system definately , Sometimes air pockets can get trapped inside the cooling system , and that can decrease the efficiency of cooling system . Check that once and i would also recommend you to change fuel filter , sometimes pickup drop issues can also be problem with fuel delivery system . By the way when was the last time you swapped the fuel filter ? , because usually its a overlooked parts .
@@yourDIYneeds Hello bhai, when I got the engine overhauled, just before that got the diesel filter, air filter changed. Didn't change any of the Sensors apart from MAF and vaccum modulator(swapped with a used one as there was another Manza in the garage standing from past 2 to 3 years). After overhaul, there was problem with fan. It used to turn very slowly with ac switched on. Swapped it from the same standing Manza and issue was resolved. On a highway after 300kms, I couldn't even overtake sumo at the speed of 80kmph.

Bro turbo cleaning is no kid job. If u slightly damage those fan blades, it will lose balance which will damage the turbo as the rpm can reach around 1 lakh
Yes sam , that guy is right But that doesn't means someone can't do it on his own ! You really need to be carefull while cleaning your turbo and intake And we dont use just liquid to clean it , Means we use liqiud but combined with pressure to create a very fine mist to clean the internals . And turbo cleaning is a two peraon job because you need someone who will help you to keep the turbo spooling while you spray the cleaning liquid mist

We had a 2006 model year Tata Indigo and IFTEX System D worked wonders on that 1.4 TDi everytime we felt sluggishness.

Most often injector repairs dont work, i may be wrong !

Maf is cleaned too still facing same problem.
Then most probably its your cam or crank sensor , which is sending a wrong input signal at a specific rpm .
And check the vaccume to the turbo as well , as the jerking problem is within the turbo spooling range .

MAF P1101 error . Will engine run failure of MAF sensor. Easiest way to determine loss of MAF sensor other than voltage test.???
Voltage test is the only reliable thing we can trust in case of maf sensor
Fire the engine.
While idling unplug maf. If engine stals- maf or map is functional
If MAF is not working
ECM will run the MAF on a default value
And just a MIL light will be visible on cluster

Till 2000rpm there is a significant amount of turbo lag in most of the diesel vehicles after reaching that 2000 rpm the engine kind of wakes up .
If thats the situation its not a problem its a characterstic of diesel engine.
before it was fine once the service was done only after that it started . Even in slow speed it was like to press full exlater . My be is it a sensor or air filter. The problem came only after 2 days when service was done . Thanks for your reply please help

Yesterday unfortunately I got fuel tank out of fuel after that I refill the fuel but in between long run I get sudden lag in my skoda rapid 1.6tdi. today while traveling I got little lag and after that glow plug light turned on!! But after restarting the car everything went well. What can be the issue? I read it on forum that I need to change the fuel filter? Currently I am 700 kms away from my hometown and need to go back day after tomorrow. What shall I do?

Sir ideally , whenever it happens with a diesel engine , the risk is quite high , due to lack of lubrication from the diesel fuel the high-pressure fuel pump runs without the fuel and in-turn there are chances that the delivery valve inside the fuel pump can get scratched , and it will effect the fuel pressure in future ! Ideally if we know that the fuel is empty , we should never try to start a diesel engine .
We should pour fuel and then turn the ignition on and off for atleast 7-8 times to flush the air out of the system before starting the engine .
How many times you tried sir after it shut down ?

I am recently facing some problem with my safari 2.2...throttle is not responding while climbing hills...after driving 30 to 40 kms in hill station power is reducing and finally the accelerator stops working..if I stop the vehicle and keep the vehicle in parking around 5 to 6 hours everything will be ok. Normal highways and city drive its perfect.

Then it must be , either turbo vaccume boost sensor or manifold pressure sensor , which is giving out wrong readings whenever you are on hills, because on hills as the altitude increases atmospheric pressure decreases .

@@yourDIYneeds warning light is not showing....accelerator seems to be dead during such situation...kept the vehicle in parking for a night and morning everything seems to be ok.
Its more likely one of two sensors , need to hook the car on a scanner and then drive to see any abnormalities in the sensor data

Normally my safari runs well but sometimes pickup drops ....secondly its sagging towrds right from front whts the reason???
Dragging towards right side can be a couple of problems
1. Low air pressure in that tyre which is creating more rolling resistance due to which car is going in one direction
2. alignment is not properly done or need to be aligned
3. Control arm busher are getting worned and now have play in them
4. Control arms are bent due to a impact or minor accident which also results in draging towards to a side
5. Brake calliper binding one of the brake calliper is stuck or bind to the brake rotor creating a false braking force and resulting in draging to a side .
Occasional drop of pick-up can be due to
1. dirty maf sensor ( i have a video on my channel about maf you can see that for more clarity)
2. A foul or dirty injector ( can use a diesel system cleaner to use along with diesel in tank to clean)

Tecnically 125 in 5th gear is somewhere around 2700 rpm and after that engine starts to run out of juice .so sir thats not a problem
Major power lies between 1800-2800 rpm and then it starts to drop

You know missing, i will give you example😂 : the car going 20 km/h then shift to 4th.that time you will get hanging, and stuck, that kind of missing.Whats the problem?

Safari's gear ratio won't allow that you cant drive properly in 4th if you are less tha 40
And you are trying it on 20😅😅😅
1st is very low ratio
2nd goes till 15
3rd will give you enough juice till 40
4th can be hold till 80 and then
5th can carry the pace from there
( Keeping driving comfort and economy in mind )

Sir i know about gear shifting ratios, i can't drive 20 km/h in 4th gear😂, now 60/h in 4th gear acceleration cancelled then the missing started.same as every gear 2nd and 3rd
Turbo or pump problems?
sir if service center is so keen on getting injectors cleaned then you can use a decent injector cleaner like a liqui moly diesel injector cleaner
but first change your fuel filter, sometimes it can chock and restricts the fuel flow

Bhai, please help... manza diesel 60 - 70 kms ke baat Matlab heat hone ke baad baad power loss hai. Turbo lag Bhi jyada Hai heat hone ke baad. no check engine light.

@@yourDIYneeds bhai tried. Engine was overhauled, after that there was p0236 error code. Tried new vaccum modulator but problem didn't resolve. Check engine light was cleared, after that no light but pickup very low after 50 to 60kms. Basically, after heat up the engine response is too low.
After 50-60 kms , that seems like a issue with engine heat management system definately ,
Sometimes air pockets can get trapped inside the cooling system , and that can decrease the efficiency of cooling system . Check that once and i would also recommend you to change fuel filter , sometimes pickup drop issues can also be problem with fuel delivery system .
By the way when was the last time you swapped the fuel filter ? , because usually its a overlooked parts .
And that code for crankshaft sensor was addressed ? Or the sensor got replaced or adjusted if it was loose ?
@@yourDIYneeds Hello bhai, when I got the engine overhauled, just before that got the diesel filter, air filter changed. Didn't change any of the Sensors apart from MAF and vaccum modulator(swapped with a used one as there was another Manza in the garage standing from past 2 to 3 years). After overhaul, there was problem with fan. It used to turn very slowly with ac switched on. Swapped it from the same standing Manza and issue was resolved. On a highway after 300kms, I couldn't even overtake sumo at the speed of 80kmph.

Bro turbo cleaning is no kid job. If u slightly damage those fan blades, it will lose balance which will damage the turbo as the rpm can reach around 1 lakh

You really need to be carefull while cleaning your turbo and intake
And we dont use just liquid to clean it ,
Means we use liqiud but combined with pressure to create a very fine mist to clean the internals .
And turbo cleaning is a two peraon job because you need someone who will help you to keep the turbo spooling while you spray the cleaning liquid mist
