- Alot of people have a mis-conception that the filter like bottle on side of tank is the second fuel filter in safari dicor or storme or tata xenon truck but its not .
its a fuel sedimenter which works on the concept of density and seprates out water from the diesel so that it does'nt get passed to injectors .
its a part of fuel filteration system but not filter .
usually needs cleaning when there is a fuel filter warning light on your dash otherwise you can drain it on every service to keep everything in order.
some brands design the sedimenter inside the fuel filter , so everytime you change the filter sedimentor also gets changes . same concept there as well but diffrent design.
Another problem in Safari and once again your video came for the rescue! You've done such a amazing job!!

Hi Sir Superb Video...Very Nice.Small tip Sir,while removing the sensor unit,you don't have to take clip out,if you press it in,you can detach the sensor with the clip.
According to Service books,first Sedimenter should be replaced at 40,000 kms,then next after One lakh Kms.It is advisable to drain 2liters of diesel every time you change the engine oil or at 10,000kms according to xbhp website.

I really want to understand that 😅 if the total volumetric quantity of sedimenter is around 350-400 ml , that means it can seprate around 300ml of water from diesel in total , so what is the point of draining 2 ltrs of diesel , its a wastage .
2. Changing the sedimentor is a debatable topic , as every person , or every company claims it differently , but as a basic nature of sedimenter , it works with 2 things gravity and density so what's the point of changing a sedimentor ,
Sir as far as i remember , owners manual doesn't sqy anything like that .
I know you read it somewhere . But just think about it , we all have studied water filtration system in our schools which has a sedimentor as the first step .
@@yourDIYneeds Yes Sir Owners manual says to replace it at 40,000kms and at 1,00,000 and also to drain the sedimenter when the light comes on.
If you open up the sedimenter,you can find a filter in them..and they get really dirty after arround one lakh kms or 5 yrs..The owners manual does say to replace them.If you give me your email id,I can send you pics from my phone from the Tata Safari Owners manual PDF.
Since condensation happens in the tank,the fuel system tends to have water and overtime as we know minor corosion within the tank and impurities in the fuel can end up in the sedimenter also called pre fuel filter as it does have filter element inside like the normal filter which we have at the front.I myself have opened up the sedimenter and my fictional God,the filter was so dirty (i dint change the filter for 10 yrs lol as o had no idea about it).It seems that the filter media does get very dirty inside the sedimenter and in not replaced and drained Atleat once a year,it can damage the injectors.
The xbhp website user comments say that emptying 2 liters once in 10,000 kms/6 months can actually keep the filter inside clean and water free.2 liters hardly cost is rs 150,and it's cheaper than a chicken biriyani Sir.Plus the filtered 2 liters can be used to clean bike chain or to clean engine area as it's a great as a cleaner..maybe you can also use it as a flush??.
Sir page no 109 and 155 in Tata Safari diocor PDF it says that when water light comes on, you must drain it to clear water as well as sediments..and also in page 155 it says to replace the sedimenter at 105000 kms..
@@yourDIYneeds Yes Sir we have studied water filtration system in school.Overtime they too get dirty and we have seen their filters getting cleaned periodically and their filters get replaced in time.So if we think about it deeply same holds true for a Diesel sedimenter also.Even our fuel fiter at the front has a plastic drain plug below with which accumulated water(if any) and sediments and be drained,and we know how dirty it gets and that it has to be replaced way faster than a sedimenter.Hope we can agree on this or agree to disagree on this Sir.Have a nice day.

Nahi sir maybe , due to the fuel present maybe (siphon effect ) start ho gya hoga , jiski wajeh se tank se fuel wapis aa raha hoga , koi ni aap thoda sa drain karke usko band kar dijiye
Sir jaise hum car mei 6 litre engine oil dalte hai or usko 10 din baad wapis nikal ke dekhte hai toh pura 6 litre oil aaye ga bhar...gaddi normal condition hai

My Tata Safari DICOR has issue of continuous glow of sediment .. I tried to drain out the sedimentor but does not go.. TASC said that might to check wires

According to safari storme owners manual, sediment filter cartrige have to change in every service that is 20000km or 1 year whichover occour earlier
And main fuel filter have to change in 60000km or 3 year whichever occour earlier.
Pump karne ke bad kuch der tak air fuel nikla but kuch time bad fuel aana band ho gaya ,Tanki ke pass sedimenter fuel filter se tel bhi continue nahi girta hai,kya problem ho sakti hai

I suppose if you open the fuel tank lid once - it will break the air pressure already created - then if you open the sedimentor... it will NOT be a continues flow of fuel... Thats my guess..

Sir firstly check the wheel speed sensors , there are higher no. Of chances for speed sensors to go bad or out of calibration than the abs module itself

Hey, you can get original VW Coolant Additional pump for about 5000 or so, try Boodmo. My friend and I had changed it in his Rapid Diesel a few months back.

Then cyclinder 1 ko TDC pe lana padega cranck rotate kar the fir uske (valve clearance) tappid adjust honge
Intake ke liye 0.8mm and exhaust ke lie 1mm
Fir aise hi cyclinder 2 , 3 and 4 ke lie bhi
And ye sab cold engine pe hoga

Sir but you problem goes away after brake pedel is depressed ,
And for the sensor , if the light still glows then you can check the sensor , sometimes sensor also goes bad , but first check the wiring by completely removing the sensor from its electrical connector and then check the light , if it still glows then wiring is faulty

Sir delhi me to around 35-40 k milte hai , baki har jageh ke alag alag price hai , fuel pump ki pipe khol ke app drain kar sakte hain, baki ta k ke neche wali side ek drain port bhi hai .
