Thanks Norm. Great video. I’m in Lake Macquarie on a 34 foot CHB cruiser and am quite apprehensive about the Swansea bar. Have done it only 3 times with no problems. Great advice about preparation before crossing. I have often wondered if other Skippers consider driving from the lower helm (rather than from the Flybridge) when caught outside and conditions get rough. I have a max of 8 knots and do fear broaching entering the bar. Again, thanks for sharing.

No probs Ian. Glad it helps out. Guess the flybridge gives better vision, but think you feel the broaching moment from up there more. No option here dude.

Hi like the channel, love the boat, but would it be possible for u to say giday dudes and dudetts in ur intro, there are many female sailors and captains, so being recognised is just respectful, we also watch ur channel. Thanks for your very informative info, gotta love our Country. 🇦🇺🌈🤣🤣

Thanks for the comment Karlene. To be honest when I came up with the name for the channel, I didn't realise that dudes was gender specific. It is a very American term and dudettes? Is that a word?
But just as "mate" in Australia, has less of a gender bias these days, and I refer to a lot of female aquaintences as mates, I think that the my Aussie use of dudes should, encompass all genders. So when I say Hi Dudes, please feel included.
And may I say it's great to get feedback from the women who watch.
      Cheers Dudette.
