VW Golf V, Passat B6, Touran, Skoda Octavia II instrument clusters repair - highline MFD replacement

👨‍🔧 This video shows how to repair the speedometer / on-board computer of Volkswagen Golf 5, Golf 5 Plus, Passat B6, Touran Mk1 and Skoda Octavia Mk2 (Siemens VDO models with full fiss display with two FPCs), replacing the not working or unreadable MFD LCD display (half of it could blank out) with Minitools SEPDISP31 replacement LCD.

Hi, that's because the cluster is not in the car, and the pins we connected to power it up on the test bench do not send signals to the battery indicator to light up.
