Thank you for the shout out! You're awesome! I was noticing you were able to fuse to the outside of your paper ream, which is awesome, because you have a nice white inside. Our plastic is on the inside of the paper, so I don't have to worry about it showing through, but the writing side is usually not very pretty, and has to be backed. I've been on a mission to find some of the Edith holden postcards since I saw your video lol thanks again!
You're welcome love, i'm really enjoying your channel Christy and that was a spark of genius using the packaging. Yes i suppose it's swings and roundabouts, like you say i have a lovely clean side to write on now 😁😊🤗💜
I am so impressed with how you credit other crafters and especially how you sing their praises. Honesty and kindness--thank you for bringing more of that into the world.
I was watching one of your videos on my big screen TV in my living room and you said something that had me cracking up. You were laughing, I was laughing. My mom came in and said, "what on earth is going on out here?". I replayed whatever you said and started cracking up again. My mom was laughing. I said, just being silly, "she's crazy, I love her!". Now every time I'm watching a video with a crafter with an accent my mom comes out and asks, "is this the crazy lady?". 😂😂😂 She is not a crafter, but she will sit down and watch your videos with me just to have a laugh. You are amazing woman!! 🥰
So sorry to that lady who has lost her dear husband lately,May she know there are people thinking about her in her time of grieving.🌺🌺……. Thanks Camelia for showing us how to do this.
You are simply the sweetest! I know when I lost my husband unexpectedly last July, your friends (subscribers) made me feel so loved! I hope the person who left the comment knows that so many of us truly care for our crafting friends! Hugs to you Julie!
Julie, I think about you often and talk about you to anyone who will listen! When I first started watching you, you had me in stitches and still do! I am working on catching up on your videos. Starting at the most current!! Take care lovely lady!
Thank you for another, of what I like to think, lovely coffee, chat & craft session. It’s so good to see your marvellous creativity in what appears to be chaos, ‘cos my desk looks just like yours 😂. Thank you, also, for introducing me to Margereth her RUclips tutorials are not only super {and very organised - in my mind I could achieve this, but life’s too short for tidying} but also are available during the week. As an insomniac this is perfect as I can now watch one of you when I’ve given up on getting back to sleep. In between posts I am slowly working through your back catalogue - I don’t even make junk journals but I’m a pocket junkie! Listening to your Yorkshire accent is soothing, as I have an East Riding accent, but if I’m feeling a bit ‘blue’ I switch the captions on. It’s hilarious seeing what comes up on screen. Thank you so much for sharing your crafty ideas, snippets of your life and my sleepless nights you are a star 🌟 ⭐️ 🌟
Awesome video Julie. I just love how supportive you are of other RUclips crafters. You are just a delight to watch. So glad I got to spend a little of my birthday with you 🥰
WHAT???? This is incredible!!! I work from home and cannot tell you how many wrappers I have thrown away!!!! No longer!!! I will try this FOR SURE! I watched Christy's video. Can't believe I've been throwing these away! Thank you, thank you!
You and me both Louise😐 i unwrap mone and store in plastic boxes. I only had one piece as i was lazy and left the bottom half of one wrapper on😅 Thans for watching lovely☺️🤗💜
Thank you for another wonderful video. Also my heart goes out to the woman who lost her husband. It's devastating. My husband died on 7.12.21, just 9 days shy of our 48th anniversary. I think of him every day and miss him terribly.
Can't belive i didn;t think of this sooner as i already use it for my cvers 😐Once i thought of it as heat activated glue i keep thinking of more ways to use it. They should have clled it something like heat n bond, oops they did😅 It's funny how our brains work and mine is a funny one☺️🤗💜
OMG, what a wonderful idea, a circular desk and you in the middle, turning to the next spot to do your next task, embossing station, ironing station, sewing station, gluing station, etc.. Just brilliant except for the getting stuck business. You could have one panel of the table to lift up so you can exit the circle or, get down on all fours and crawl out. 😊😊
It is so comforting listening to you knowing now that I am not alone in the losing things in 2 seconds and getting so excited about different ideas fluttering in and out of my brain. My husband is a butcher so now I want to try the freezer paper. I am going to ask him to bring some home tonight. Absolutely love you. You might be in another country but we say soooo many of the similar things.
I would lose my head if it wasn't fixed on, as my mum used to say. Yes i had an attack of wanting to do so many things i almost got nothing done as i couldn't see my desk for all the things i'd pulled out😅 What a fortunate job your hubbie has Stephanie, lots of different papers to make use of i imagine. I always eye up the paper used in different shops😁🤗💜
I love how smooth the heat and bond makes the napkin lay. I'm a tactile person so I feel everything before I buy so feeling paper packaging for plastic feel is right up my alley.😅
What a great idea chook! I once used Glad Wrap to attach napkins and loved the feel of it when it was done. I imagine it would be a similar feel to the Heat and Bond AND the freezer paper. Don’t think we can easily get the freezer paper here in Australia though. Thanks again missus! 😊💚🇦🇺xxx
Lady, when you phaff around, you’re very productive! Heat n Bond is a great idea. Lovely and informative video. The Edith Holden journals are going to be stellar!
Thanks Ruth, i so didn't think of that, I tell you my brain is addled. Also i did a video every day when i started my channel and i had my Etsy shop which was busy. Where on earth did all that energy go? 😊🤗💜
I started this video last week and watch half and couldn't make it back to finish until now. However i was at the store and bought some heat and bond. Can't wait to try it. My thoughts and prayers for the lady who lost her husband.
Omg Marcie, i read your email just as teen 2 got home from college, then gorgot about it til i saw you now😅 I am a bugger for not reading instructions, so no i don't always prewash my fabric. Depends where i got it from and if it's new or not. Never had a problem though, but they may be famous last words😐 Thank you so much love🤗💜💜
Happy Valentines Day!!! Lol you silly woman🤣🤣🤣everytime you say that I bust out laughing!! Thank you for sharing your creativity and losing stuff on your work area like I do👏👏👍
Hi! I bought a roll of heat-&-bond just yesterday after seeing your video about the journal covers you made using it. Will work on that in the next few days. Thanks for all your tips and inspiration ❤
Hi Julie. Great to see you back. I'm loving this video. I have a Sizzix bi shot which is great for embossing so I need to knock the dust off and start using it again. I have a product call Visoflix for applique in quilting so I'll see if it works on paper. Thanks for another fantastic morning of crafting. Val.🐨 💟
What a great instructional video Julie, thank you so much. Who knew you could use “paper packets” to bond napkins and fabric, Christy must be a crafting genius! I’m waiting for a new ream of paper to arrive so you can guess what I’ll be doing 😂😂😂 ❤
I made a journal cover with the heat and bond. According to your video a weeks back and it worked like a dream. Thank you so much I was struggling with this and you made it easy❤️
Thanks Cindy love, you're very welcome. But why on earth did it not click with me to try the same with napkins back then. My mind works and often doesn't work in mysterious ways☺️🤗💜
So glad you found it useful Susan love😁 I was using my cropadile in the video that goes up today and i mentioned you and remembered your name. I forgot a dozen other things though😅😁🤗💜
Love this video! Just got the Amazon head-n bond delivery and need to play! Julie, I belong to a group of women called the Wonderful Walking Women who also have coffee on Fridays. Today I took several examples of the booklets that I made from your “NO TOOLS NEEDED” video and they loved them! The favorite is the one that I made from a Brambly Hedge book. It’s small but then we all love little things right? That project is simple enough for even my non crafty friends and they even asked me to teach a class! I’d rather have you come to Colorado and teach us!!🙃🙃🙃😘
Hi Julie, I love watching you craft, but I like listening just as much! These are great ideas, I used to use freezer paper to make patterns I don’t know why I never thought of this, but I’m gonna try it!
One of many things I love about your channel is your willingness to name others who offer other ideas and techniques you have learned. That is so generous. Yours is my go-to channel to learn journaling that is concise and beautiful. I don't care much for the "junk" journals that have poor craftsmanship with no theme. You, however, create with style that produces beautiful, functional journals. I generally watch you before sleep, and you make me laugh and continue to love the world of arts and crafts. Bravo, Julie!
This is an awesome video! Thank you so much for doing this experiment with us. Tons of inspirations and idea. Love your witty humor! I do trust you, because you’re a crafter. 😂. Hugs ❤️🤗
I'm yey sewing.I've mafr 10 Mimi throws for the homeless. I'm using up my fabrics scraps . I love heat and bond... Thanks Julie. Enjoyed watching. Pretty project
lol! I recently have done the same thing with Freezer paper and heat and bond!! And literally said to my husband that I have so many ideas but enough time and hands I get them all done! lol! Thanks for sharing!!
This was perfect timing! I did see Christy's video the other day and had freezer paper and the copy paper cover and did napkins but I haven't made anything with them yet. I love what you did with embossing them so I'm going to do that too! I can't believe you found Edith napkins!! How cool. You find the best stuff Julie! Have a wonderful week :))
Thank you so much Sheryl😊i love watching Christy and how she thought to use the wrapping from the paper is genius. It's amazing what you can find on ebay🤗💜
Ohh I like these Julie. They are so pretty. I do not have an embosser, BUT I am going to buy one now. I like yours, it seems easy to manage. You are just fantastic to watch and listen to Julie. I love your show! I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of one of your original subscribers husband. I too lost my husband 8 years ago suddenly 1/27. I never thought in a million years I would have had to go through what I did and never imagined I would be a widow at 54. It is painful to lose your husband who you love so very much. What I do know is the pain will ease as we move forward, not move on, but move forward because we have to. I took refuge in Jesus and leaned on him to ease my pain. I pray your subscriber is strengthened and comforted by God during this very difficult time and I will add her to my prayers. ❤❤🙏🙏😘😘
just a thought ............. depending on what type of edging you want, you can also iron heat/bond to full piece of fabric. Then use pinking scissors to cut out different sized tags/pockets/journal cards you want.
This is wonderful! I've amassed quite a napkin collection but I've been struggling with all the different ways to use them. I'm going to try this! Thank you so much for sharing ❤️
I was watching another crafters old video a few days ago, and she took her bone folder and burnished just the corner of her napkin to help separate the plys. I haven't tried it yet, though. I'm going to give it a go next time. Thanks for all you do.
I used to use freezer paper all the time for painting on clothing. I love it! you can cut shapes out too with your dies? and use it as stencils, just press on, paint and peel it back up. er not on fabric but in our journals.
Great ideas. I’ve literally just bought freezer paper! However o have got it for a particular reason. Now I’m off to check my paper packets! I have great charity shops, you need to pop to Hull for a visit, we’d have a blast going round my shops 💜
I'll be keeping an eye out to see what you get up to with it love. Assuming it's a crafty purpose. If i still drove i'd be up there like a shot Mrs☺️🤗💜
this was great Julie. I've got some of both adhesives so I'll give them a go. I've also got ream copy paper packaging that has that plastic feel so I'll try that too. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Julie you are on my tele all the time but as you I can’t comment on it but as I have just purchased some Heat and bond I needed a ironing mat thingy so your video was ‘manner from Heaven’ waffle waffle!!!!! Still loving all you make and chat about. Ann Cheshire plains (not bothering at the moment 🤪) 🤗🤗🤗🐈
Hi Ann, lovely to hear from you Mrs, so glad you enjoyed this. The wool mats a re brilliant, i had to buy a second smaller one so that i could fit it on my messy desk😅 I've had a not bothering kind of few months love☺️🤗💜
These are fabulous.... thanks for all the tips and things... so glad I found your channel... the Edith Holden stuff is amazing ... unfortunately we don't get any of it here in South Africa....
Oh Julie, you do make me laugh!!!! I'm going to try both of these methods, I didn't even know freezer paper existed, looks a bit slippery to me, you wouldn't wanna wrap a bit of fish in that would you. Off I trot to buy my freezer paper and heat n bond
very, very interesting.😁 Went looking through my sewing stuff that made the move with me and found some fusible featherweight interfacing so will give it a try. Will go over and check out Christy's channel also. Love the video, thanks a lot
Napkins fused to freezer paper make for nice, crinkly journal pages. Napkins fused to cardstock make for nice tags and when fused to the blank side of single sided 12x12 papers it covers the white without adding a lot of bulk.
I love Heat n bond, use it a lot with paper. Freezer paper not bad if you’re going to sew the edges, however not with anything very thin because it breaks inside the stitches. Heat n bond is a glue, much more stable, doesn’t yellow, easy to use, easy for cutting out designs . I have different weights of it because if you use the heavy weight with lightweight fabric or paper it can bleed through. Heavier fabrics and thicker paper need the stronger bond adhesive. I save the backing paper for other gluing projects because it’s nonstick. It’s worth the little bit extra it cost, but when there’s a coupon or sale, I stock up.
I loved your Vlogs and Thank you so much for sharing too. You got a lovely Napkins wish you can share where you bought so I can it coz we don’t here in the USA.
Thank you for the shout out! You're awesome! I was noticing you were able to fuse to the outside of your paper ream, which is awesome, because you have a nice white inside. So glad you enjoyed it Ruth, thanks love😊🤗💜
OMG, I hadn't thought about this. I have an entire roll of Heat N Bond and had no idea how to use it in my craft room!
You should watch Julie’s journal cover video for this series if you have the heat and bond. Xxx
Thanks Lisa love 😊🤗💜

You're on to a winner there Wanda. I love the lift up panel idea and the motor. We should go on Dragons Den, or Shark Tank😁🤗💜
😂🤣🤣🤣😂 "Edith Holden -esque is TOTALLY something I would say! Hugs, MK 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗
Thanks MK, you always make me feel like i'm not that crazy after all😅😂🤣🤗💜
What an amazing video. Y showed us so much. You’re a joy to watch, so comical. 😊
Thank you so much love ☺️🤗💜
I always save your videos for the morning, a cup of tea and Julie for company, what a way to start the day. Love from Canada
I do the same with my favourite channels Joyce. I need an hour to warm up in the morning, like an old banger😅☺️🤗💜
It is so comforting listening to you knowing now that I am not alone in the losing things in 2 seconds and getting so excited about different ideas fluttering in and out of my brain. Thank you so much Erika love, i can't quite believe it ☺️🤗💜
Thanks for a another awesome video. You have a knack of making me laugh. Thanks Julie. 🙂❤️
Thanks Shirley love 😊🤗💜
I love how smooth the heat and bond makes the napkin lay. I'm a tactile person so I feel everything before I buy so feeling paper packaging for plastic feel is right up my alley.😅
It really does feel lovely. Smooth but you can still feel the texture of paper rather than glue🤗☺️💜
Thank you for sharing the way you glue down napkins to cardstock. This was very easy to follow and do!
Thanks for showing the difference between freezer paper and heat and bond.
I think that you teach things very well.
I saw Christy's video as well and was so surprised - who would think to even check such a thing?
I know, i thought exactly the same. Now i'm looking at anything shiny wondering it it will work😁🤗💜
What a great idea chook! I once used Glad Wrap to attach napkins and loved the feel of it when it was done. I imagine it would be a similar feel to the Heat and Bond AND the freezer paper. Don’t think we can easily get the freezer paper here in Australia though. Thanks again missus! 😊💚🇦🇺xxx
I tried that once and it works really well. not heard of glad wrap in years. We call it all boring old cling film over here now😁🤗💜

Thanks lovely☺️sometimes i am and sometimes i just faff😁🤗💜

Great idea, love the projects, off to view Christy's channel! 💜💜💜
Thanks Carol love 😊🤗💜
Great video, Julie! I love it when you faff on! Thanks for showing us another way to do napkins - and use up all my freezer paper. ❤
Thanks Lorna love 😊🤗💜
Thanks ever so much Wanda love☺️💜🤗🙏
Very informative. Wish we had more options for Napkins. We used to. Thanks for all the info.
Oh my gosh you’re just too funny! You make crafting so much more fun! “Waffling”!, 😂😂😂😂😂😂
just a thought ............. depending on what type of edging you want, you can also iron heat/bond to full piece of fabric. Then use pinking scissors to cut out different sized tags/pockets/journal cards you want.
That's a great idea, and should work perfectly, thanks love😁🤗💜
This is wonderful! I've amassed quite a napkin collection but I've been struggling with all the different ways to use them. I'm going to try this! Thank you so much for sharing ❤️
I was watching another crafters old video a few days ago, and she took her bone folder and burnished just the corner of her napkin to help separate the plys. I haven't tried it yet, though. I'm going to give it a go next time. Thanks for all you do.
I like the sound of that Sandy, i lose my bone folder less often than my tape😁 thank you so much love☺️🤗💜
I have used freezer paper for applications they are easy to cut out and apply
Theola
Such great ideas Julie! ❤ I will head on over and watch her video now and subscribe!
Christy does some fabulous stuff, she is a true junk journaler☺️🤗💜
Great job Julie! So much information, thank you for doing the hard work! Lol love it
I used to use freezer paper all the time for painting on clothing. I love it! you can cut shapes out too with your dies? and use it as stencils, just press on, paint and peel it back up. er not on fabric but in our journals.
Great idea! So much easier! Thank you for always sharing your ideas and the great conversations!! ❤️
Thanks Rhonda love 😊🤗💜
Love this, I’ve never tried this, will definitely have to try these! Hugs❤
Cheers Mrs ☺️🤗💜
Loved this video, I am already raiding the pantry for my freezer paper to try that then heat bond. You are the best! Hugs
Thanks Roxanne love😁 i had never heard of freezer paper until i discovered it for crafting☺️🤗💜
Can’t wait for new videos 😊

Thanks Diane, you're welcome love 😊🤗💜
What a great idea to use heat and bond, love it!
Thanks Shay love 😊🤗💜
This is great thank you Julie
Thanks Brenda, you're welcome love 😊🤗💜
this was great Julie. I've got some of both adhesives so I'll give them a go. I've also got ream copy paper packaging that has that plastic feel so I'll try that too. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks lovely, you're very welcome. sounds like you're going to be busy☺️🤗💜
Hello from Illinois USA, how beautiful. Since the heat n bond feels tacky after adhered, can you just add the napkin without separating the layers?
That is a very good idea Suzy, i will be trying that first thing tomorrow, thanks lovely😁🤗💜
Same here ‘Messy table’ but we’re happy daft about it aren’t we 😂
These are fabulous.... thanks for all the tips and things... so glad I found your channel... the Edith Holden stuff is amazing ... unfortunately we don't get any of it here in South Africa....
Thank you so much Valerie love😊🤗💜
Oh Julie, you do make me laugh!!!! I'm going to try both of these methods, I didn't even know freezer paper existed, looks a bit slippery to me, you wouldn't wanna wrap a bit of fish in that would you. Off I trot to buy my freezer paper and heat n bond
😅 that gave me a giggle, the mental images that conjures😁🤗💜
Thank you so much for the inspiration.
You're welcome love, really glad you enjoyed it 😊🤗💜
very, very interesting.😁 Went looking through my sewing stuff that made the move with me and found some fusible featherweight interfacing so will give it a try. Will go over and check out Christy's channel also. Love the video, thanks a lot
So glad you enjoyed it, thanks love😊🤗💜

Love this idea/ Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Linda, you're welcome love 😊🤗💜
Brilliant!!!!!!!!!
I just spent most of my day making paper from napkins. This looks a bit easier. ❤
It does seem to be alot quicker Kathleen. I spenty a bug chunk of yesterday doing the same thing with matt medium😘☺️🤗💜
Great minds! Lol. These ephemera pieces are quite lovely.
So many great ideas. I have not tried bonding napkins in this manner. Have used mod podge. I'm putting this on my long list of to dos.
Thanks lovely😁🤗💜
I loved your Vlogs and Thank you so much for sharing too. You got a lovely Napkins wish you can share where you bought so I can it coz we don’t here in the USA.
What is Margaret's channel?
