Really looking forward to this story pack. Have to wait a day after release until I get paid but hope I can finally pick this up then and maybe get lithoids finally to get all the stellaris dlc.
I'll be cool if land troops were a "weapon" of the ships, so not only we shouldn't need to build troops from our planets, and also maybe ship troops could board and capture other ships during battle.
@@andrews556 I imagine it being something you can choose to have or not on your ships. So, you could choose to use more weapon slots for weapons, but you would conquer planets slowly, or you can choose the opposite. Also, I like the option of capturing enemy ships during battle.
Yep this would be great. Have it as a ship module so you can choose between dedicated transports and combat ships or hybrids of both. Also lots of room to flesh this idea out. What about logistics modules to support ground forces, strike craft for close air support, weapons that are specialised for ground support ect. I LOVE the idea of building a battleship sized ship that's been optimised for ground invasions rather than space combat (the equviliant of an amphibious assault ship irl).
I think there should be much greater effects if your fleet is discovered, perhaps different depending on government. Xenophobes could declare war while xenophiles may be more forgiving
I think some amazing things to add to the game would be diseases that can happen naturally or that you can engineer as a bioweapon, and civil wars that can potentially happen due to certain circumstances such as governments change or hight unrest in core planets.
Hey I have one question. my friends and I noticed that the game speed on consoles has been changed after the last patch. therefore, would it be possible to set the default speed as one bar?
Kinda miffed that we don't get the origin Your Ladder to the Stars. Why should Minimar get all the fun? Plus there needs to be more Megacorp specific stuff
I really like that you are adding civics with Eager Explorer and Relentless Industrialists that change the gameplay and don't add it as an origin. This allows me to further customize my empire. I have enough origins, but everyone almost always takes the same civics. Feel free to expand on that in the future.
With the Fear of the Dark start, what is there to stop me from just building a large army and simply invading the bothersome planet for an extra planet and free pops?
I'd presume some pretty big maluses to unity, happiness and such lol. I do hope they bothered coding that in because thats some good flavor right there
Most likely nothing, it's stellaris after all. There might be consequences to your actions, and it might be worthwhile to actually have them, but if the gain is great enough, I highly doubt you'd just be stopped from doing it.
I was of the understanding it's already part of your empire as you can't have multiple empire ownership of one star system (like you used to in the early days)
The new civics are included in First Contact, yes. If you'd like the full list of changes separated by paid DLC/ free update, you can see those here: pdxint.at/3ZXQqAh
What will your first playthrough with First Contact look like?
Going be playing and streaming a plucky band of Hydras out for revenge. Pay Back - For sure. Obsessed with Cloaking? Absolutely.
Definitely excited about Payback!
I'm gonna do an empty galaxy run with all pre ftl. Rp as an early race.
I will study the xeno ... and then purge them all !!!
remnant rogue servitor defending all sapient life
The cloaking system looks cool. Now we could play as the Romulan Empire.
Starting a slingshot to the stars playthrough tomorrow
first ill do a pure star trek run, full of exploration, discovery and diplomacy. cant wait to sink my teeth into the new stuff. :)
The Xeno says: "Your woman at your side, children playing at your feet, and overhead, fluttering in the breeze, the flag of the Federation. Charming."

Still no news on the Paradox Employee Species Pack?
I want my Mordred Viking species portraits!
LOL! 🤣
Mordred Viking approves of this comment

I do love this idea.
That’s how it worked in endless space. You had a set number of marines per ship type that contributed to your invasion.

Holding my new gameplay for tomorrow, can't wait
Hey... This guy taught me how the navy works in HOI4! Looking forward to the First Contact Pack!
My navies were so good, I took them to spaaaaace -Mordred
So pumped XD
Finally some Space submarines. But...
I want to see someday more Boarding action in Space combat and enhancement to Planetary combat, folks.
Cheers.
Agreed, sci-fi ground combat is a staple that's lacking so far.
I definitely want to try "Fear of the Dark". What happened to that planet? I have to know.
Broken Shackles will be my first playthrough, I want those juicy pre-district buildings
Thx Paradox for Overlord console ver. 🚀👏🚀 it's great
Cool cool, but do we get machine ships some time soon? :D
I'm so excited! and I just cant hide it!

OMG CLOAKING
I'm gonna name my cloaked fleet's admiral John Cena because you can't see him
I kind of figure Titans are much, _much_ bigger than a kilometer.
Here is another reason to use armor instead of shields

I went and looked at Dev diary 281 and saw that MSI had done 143 uplifts (14,3,23) was that the Tease?
You found it!
Wish the CK3 dev team was this good.
Awesome video

I mean, you could be a Broken Shackles megacorp, as contradictory as it seams.
I own everything but I have barely played I just bought this too
Will broken shackles with humans be possible? (Like spawning the appropriate sol system)
Very likely, pretty much every origin has a Sol system variation.

I'd wish that wou could combine Origins. Someones don't seem to particularly negate each other.
Will it be available 12 am March 14th?
While we can't confirm a specific time, you can expect it during late afternoon/early evening Central European Time.
Already March 14 here in the eastern part of the world...

Considering it’s basically a doom prepper planet, it’d make sense for it to be pretty fortified

@@AzureRath97 It counts as a primitive empire, wich you can have inside your borders.
Why does this dev sound exactly like GrandLineReviews?
Is this on console as well?
Not at this time.
Are the civics not apart of the pack?

damn, cloaking itself is payed? eh
I preordered it just now! But what time does it release on March 14'th?

@@StellarisOfficial Thank you!
