Very good and informative video. Looks like storms Rolling in for that area. I was wondering where does the majority of those birds fly down from? Northern California perhaps.
Definitely getting ready for some serious storms here this weekend! A lot of the birds will stay in the state. Typically, dove will migrate from the northern states into Southern California and even way down into Mexico. The White Wing dove comes up north from Mexico during the summer and will stay until the first storms hit hard enough and that can push them south back into Mexico. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more hunting content coming soon!
I do that with a couple but they don’t seem to keep the ice chest as cold. Large block ice seems to work best for me as it doesn’t melt as fast. Either way, seems like I never have enough! 🥵
I grew up hunting the Valley and yes, most people can’t comprehend the stress both mentally and physically down there in September. There’s no room for complacency. With that said, I am at home down there and that place just completes me, lol. I respect it and I am rewarded, usually 🙄
@@michaelcope2329 Works for a day but not a weeklong hunt. I don’t typically go out for the day. I’m usually in it for at least 4 days. That’s perfectly fine for the average person who just goes for the morning hunt. Good luck on Sunday 👍🏻
a camo t shirt basically does nothing if youre talking about being spotted. Earth tone long sleeve does better than just about any camo ive ever worn. Turkey is the only game ive ever experienced camo being a must unless youre in a blind
Well, it’s a heck of a lot better than a bright colored shirt. No way are you wearing long sleeve shirts when it’s 115° in the Sonoran Desert. Camo breaks up a profile especially when you’re using brush or bushes for concealment. I will also wear khaki or tan colored shirts, as long as the colors blend in with my surroundings. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏻
@@desertqwest I hate to break this to you but the nomadic tribes of the desert wear long sleeves and often hoods as part of a full robe, it actually helps keep them cooler Just saying, so the whole no way your wearing a long sleeve shirt is kinda silly
@@michaelcope2329 Not wearing a regular long sleeve shirt. I’m down there right now and it was 115° yesterday. You can wear long sleeves if you want but I’ll pass. I understand what you’re saying though.

Great video. Tip, I freeze water bottles for cooler. They last longer than ice and are able to drink as they are thawing out in 100+ degree weather

Sure sounds like you hunt my backyard, the heat is crippling to the unmotivated lol #yumaaz

Thermacell works great in alabama for dove
Do you need to have it right next to you? How long does it last? Thanks for sharing and watching the video. Good luck this year 🕊️
@@desertqwest In our conditions it’s good for about a 15 feet radious. They surprisingly last for a good amount of time.
@@zsar31 Thanks, man. Can’t wait!
Nice background 😁
Lol, and I got sun burned ☀️too. Thanks, buddy. Looking forward to your videos this season 🤘🏼😝
@@desertqwestThose are some crazy temps, might be hotter than where I hunt!
@@PatternChief seems to be consistently hotter than Yuma almost always. I’m hoping for a little cloud cover this year perhaps. Just no storms!
