CHECK HER FOR WINGS!! CHECK HER FOR WINGS!! "You have any identification, sir? " I must have left it in my space ship!" Jack Elam out Elams even himself in this classic episode. One of the most versatile actors ever to grace the screen. Elam was at home playing ruthless villains or loveable buffoons. Or in this case a hapless, demented old man. Also the funniest demented old man since time began. Not only was Rod Serling a gifted storyteller, he also had superb taste in actorscto bring those tales to life. " Who won the World Series last year?" "The Pirates won it in seven games. Didn't think we Martians knew about the greatc Amer
TheShizue777 Me also..I watch that marathon every year, none stop. and I wait for this episode with Jack Elam...classic. but the 1/4 is of great bud, has to be by side, while its on...that a must!!!! lol
If you give it a little bit of thought, there were actually only two suspects. Remember, someone was *added* to the group. The bus driver obviously is human. Someone had to be driving. The married couple also come as a unit, and thus rule each other out. The girl was vouched for by the bus driver. So, in fact, only Jack Elam's character and the "sour puss" are the only ones who it could be. Neither has anyone to vouch for them.

Tough call with so many great episodes. This one and the others you mentioned are right up there as the best of the best, especially "To Serve Man", but I'm adding in "A Stop at Willoughby", "Five Characters in Search of an Exit" and one of my absolute favorites and also one of the best "Night Call" (the one where the old lady in the wheelchair, Ms. Elva Keene, keeps getting phone calls from her fiancé from his grave). I had to clarify that one specifically because there's another episode titled "Long Distance Call" and some people confuse the two.
1960 World Series. Pirates over Yankees 4 games to 3. Won on Maz' walk off homer in the bottom of the 9th off Ralph Terry. Yanks out scored Pirates 54-27 but still lost. Remained Mantles biggest disappointment til the day he died .
Mazeroski got most of the glory but let's not forget Hal Smith's 3 run shot and that well placed pebble that tied Kubek up in knots. Definitely a game for the ages .
Just to be sure that others who appreciate Jack Elam's talent also know how great he was in noirish tough guy/loser roles during the 1950s. Kansas City Confidential and Kiss Me Deadly come to mind.

Always loved the great Jack Elam, especially his many roles on Gunsmoke.
Yep...Gunsmoke, Support your Local Gunfighter, Support your Local Sheriff, F-Troop as Sam Erp. Fantastic Character Actor!!!

Elam was great at what he did but this was not only out of the ordinary for him it was one of the best performances I've seen from him!
Gianni , check him out in the classic western flick "Once upon a time in the west" ... wow, he's a real riot
There's never been an equal to this series
My favorite Twilight Zone episode with my favorite actor, Jack Elam! Who could ask for more? Thank you, thank you, thank you, imurbud!

Jack Elam was one of a kind. He was one of my favorite actors.
'Will the real Martian please stand up' Twilight Zone, my favourite series of all time
Absolutely one of the best Twilight Zones ever. I remember seeing it on the TV as a 10-year-old. Scared The Living Daylights out of me
I saw this episode the other night on MeTV .
The writing was brilliant.

Jean Willies was one heck of a beautiful looking doll 😍
Was she really? Quinton McHale didn't want to get married to her.

"She's the only one I noticed."😉
You don't have a clue who the person sitting next to you is. Just like 2022!
Jack having a good time playing the goofy character. Spoiler alert: Don't look under anyone's hat.
Or inside their coat!!
They'll be serving third eye soup come Monday.

"The Grave" and "The Passersby" are also very good episodes too Kevin 👍

Love Jack Elam
Jack Elam looked old the day he walked out of Globe, Arizona.
I love people who film off TV screens.
One of the best thanks for sharing this
Spoiler: One of them has a second hand coat.....
Ill say no more.
Or even third hand. But the counterman noticed it, he......has an eye for detail.

I forgot how good an actor Jack Elam really was. He always played GREAT bad guys.. and he plays this part perfectly.
Well hell there's ol crazy eyes damn 🤣🤣🤣
Jack had Marty Feldman eyes.
The Pirates never lost Game seven.
What does " who won the world series " mean?
I was supposed to be a test to see if you were really an American or an enemy spy. The idea was that a spy wouldn't know the answer.
I think Jack Elam was an accountant with Warner Brothers. Seen how much actor’s were being paid and ………..!
Pittsburgh Pirates!
