I can’t believe that you posted this today! I just had to use crimp beads for the first time yesterday and while they turned out fine, I didn’t feel like I had the technique completely down, so thank you!!!
I can make this with the beads in my stash , not to worry I'll be buying from you again very soon. Thank you so much , you are appreciated by so many of us jewelry makers.
Beautiful as always Kellie 💗. Thank you for “rescuing me” with Beading!!!! I was out of town today for a medical appt., so missed seeing this earlier. Then I had to get over an unusal for me case of road rage. LOL……Blanketity Blank tourist drivers……I swear they leave their brains at home. Such is summer in the Okanagan Valley. Ya, I know, I should be used to it by now. Gotta love Lockdown sometimes, when the roads were clear. LOL 😉🤪😎 (Don’t even get me started on the smokey skies…….😝)
I had a necklace almost sold and picked it up to wrap the necklace and the clam shell that I used broke. WellI lost that sale and possibly that customer for life but I have learned. I really don’t feel secure unless I use a crimp tube and crimp cover. I have used them for years with wire protectors. Thanks for going over them again!😍
Very pretty necklaces! Thank you for the crimping tips. I have such a hard time with crimps. Hopefully I can get them right following your tips. Thank you for sharing. 😊🌹
Thank you for this video. I am making a necklace with gem stones and paper beads that I made. The crimping tutorial was a good refresher for me. I don't normally string my work. Thanks again.
Awww thank you so much for this video! After some disastrous efforts and a complete loss of self worth in crimping, your video has put me back on track again with crimping. Thank you for putting everything so simply and yet elegantly, I went straight to medium flex with some proper tools and smashed this one out.
Hi Kellie, Softflex has a magical crimper that works great to close those crimp covers. I use them all the time. Love using all the colors Softflex has, use them all the time. Love that necklace.
I am loving the Soft Flex beading wire - I assembled the blue picasso necklace and I love the colors you put together for these necklaces.....three kits assembled and six to go :-)
Love this necklace, Kellie! Thank you for the clip tip. I finished a beaded necklace (without a clip) and dropped the whole thing on the floor right down into my heater vent! I now have clips! : )
Great video! I just wouldn't dare cutting the flex wire so close, I run the final beads over the tail. Allows me to change sth later too, if I want or need to. You're a brave woman 😄.
Thanks so much for sharing ! I’ve found that using my crimping pliers works perfect for closing the crimp covers. And, better still, you rarely get any dents! Give it a try and let me know what you think.. of course, the larger the crimp cover, you may want to use the next size up in crimping pliers.
If I have a wire tail on my jewelry; if I can, I try to tuck it back into the beads and then snip the rest. It is awesome the way you can handle the crimps and the quality of those. I don't remember where I bought some which whenever I try to crimp them, they break. I have noticed that if I try not to crimp too hard, the necklace or bracelet will fall apart.
@@joelprestonsmith I am in Missouri right now and it's in Minnesota with my other jewelry tools but I will sure let you know! It's great. I will be going home on Sunday as soon as I get there I will let you know!

@@KelliesBeadBoutique ok, thanks. I was curious to know if you've used them and if you like them. I have them on 2 bracelets but I never wear those bracelets.
@@KelliesBeadBoutique ooh I just saw my typo...lol What I meant to say is, should the crimp cover be a size up from the crimp tube? Thank you once again.
Thanks for an otherwise fab lesson! But you haven't covered the ugly soft flex, do you just leave that showing? Does anybody think that's nice? There's got to be a way to cover that wire looking stuff. Of course, none of this jewelery is fine (or close to it), so maybe it doesn't matter what it looks like in back at the neck. Any ideas? Great explanation of the proper crimp and bead cover technique. I was so hoping you'd have a "cover the wire" technique...
I always lay the necklace down facing away from me but having the “good side” on top. I then know that is the side to put the lobster clasp on. I will be showing that in an upcoming video.
I learned the hard way when starting that there were 3 different sized crimpers to be used according to the diameter of the crimp tube. A woman was trying in one of my necklaces when suddenly the too large crimp came loose and the beads went flying. With some investigation I discovered the problem was the crimper was too large for the crimp bead. Never heard anyone teaching beading to be aware of this.

Great instruction and camera work on the crimp cover step. They look easy, but fails are impossible to fix. Slow and steady is really the trick. TFS!

I use the crimper/crimping pliers to close the crimp covers. The necklace is very pretty, thank you. I hope the move is going alright?.
Thanks! In the middle of packing up 18.5 years of stuff! 7 more weeks until the move.
Super! Respekt!
Love this necklace. Is the kit available?
It might have a color left.
Kellie, would you share where to get the high-quality bead covers you mentioned? Thank you.
I carry them in my store. ❤️
Hi what size crimp beads did you use ? Thanks for the video 😊
I use 2x2 crimp beads.
I have a special crimp cover tool, it is rounded and easily closes without smashing.
Debbie, what's the brand/model for the tool? Do you have a link for it? Thank you

Do you not use wire guards?
No. I’ve never felt the need to use them.
Hi Kellie, these are lovely. Could you please explain what the “rope spacers” are? Thank you
They are just a little spacer I sell. www.kelliesbeadboutique.com/4mm-Rope-Style-Spacers-p/abc317.htm
@@KelliesBeadBoutique Thank you
How do you feel about wire guards? I haven't seen you use any yet. I just found your channel about a week ago. I've watched quite a few of your videos

What brand of crimp bead would you highly recommend, the crimp bead I buy are so frail.
We sell a good crimp tube. Great quality.
This is what I needed! I do have one question. Should the crimp cover be a size larger than the crimp cover? Thank you so much for this DIY!

I don’t see the need to cover it. There is so much going on around it that I don’t think anyone notices it
French or gimp wire. I think too the flex wire looks fine.
@@KelliesBeadBoutique yep, we notice. Its like saying gold-plated is nice too.

How do you know how long to make the necklace.
How ever long you want it! I find some here between 16-18” is best.

Maybe 4mm?
